Episode 136: Your College Football Playoff Primer

The first playoff rankings show is finally here. We record right before the rankings are releaved and give our thoughts on who is still alive for the playoffs, who we think will make it, what we think the first rankings will look like, and then give our predictions for week 11 in college football. Enjoy!

[00:00:29] Welcome back everybody to the latest episode of In The Flat Podcast. I'm your host Tony Kill, joined as always by Jess and Jordan. We're coming back to you after a one week break where I was on my deathbed and the only thing that brought me back was Notre Dame beating Navy. So I am now back here this week and we're all talking about playoffs. Yes, we are talking about playoffs. And really going to talk about more of a playoff primer this week. So talk about who we feel like is still alive for the playoffs.

[00:00:59] Who we feel like the committee will, we're recording this on Tuesday, who we feel like the committee will actually put in the first playoff rankings this evening. And then we'll talk about the upcoming week's games and give you our predictions of who's going to win those. Our hope is we come back to you early tomorrow with a breakdown of the actual rankings themselves. So be on the lookout for another podcast coming later this week. All right, so let's kick this off. Let's first talk about who we feel like is still alive for the playoffs.

[00:01:29] And I thought the easiest way to do this is kind of break it out conference by conference. So let's start in ACC. So for me, I pulled out four teams that I feel like are still alive for the playoffs.

[00:01:39] And that was Miami, SMU, Clemson and Pittsburgh. Now looking at it, I think to me, it's obvious. I think Miami SMU are probably going to be destined to play in the championship game. Clemson, you know, Pittsburgh have an outside shot depending if SMU or Miami loses.

[00:01:58] So I kind of included them here. As far as like the upcoming schedules, if you look at Miami, they got Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and Syracuse on the horizon. The one I would stick out there is at Georgia Tech and at Syracuse could be a little tricky for them, especially at Syracuse.

[00:02:13] Syracuse can score when they're playing a less than stiller defense, which Miami is not. So there's potential for an upset there. For SMU, I think they have a tough game against Boston College, but it is at home.

[00:02:25] And then I think Virginia should be easy. And then California could be a tougher one, but I feel like they should be able to handle that one.

[00:02:31] And then if you look at Clemson, they're going at Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Citadel and South Carolina. I honestly feel like Clemson could lose at Pittsburgh and South Carolina, but for sure South Carolina.

[00:02:41] And then Pittsburgh, they have Louisville, Virginia and Boston College. And obviously, I think I missed Clemson on there. But out of those guys, what do you feel on the ACC?

[00:02:53] Who do you feel like is still alive? Who do you feel like is the most likely to make it and who has the best outside shot? So we'll start with you, Jesse.

[00:03:04] Well, I mean, with how SMU has been playing, they look very good. But I think at the end of the day, it's still kind of Miami's to lose.

[00:03:16] I think, you know, Miami's defense has been really weird, where it feels like for at least two and a half to three quarters, they're terrible.

[00:03:28] And then all of a sudden, they're getting picks, they're forcing turnovers, they're making plays.

[00:03:33] And then Miami kind of just pulls it out or is able to just pull away.

[00:03:39] Because we know that Miami can score. We know their offense is good. But the question is, with that defense, how far can they really go?

[00:03:49] But as of right now, it's one of those until proven otherwise things, I'm rolling with Miami.

[00:03:55] I think they're going to have the best shot. I think they're going to win the conference.

[00:03:59] And I think, you know, preseason, I had Clemson win it all, but Miami's still making it right now.

[00:04:07] I don't know if another ACC team is going to be able to make it.

[00:04:15] But if right now, it seems like they're favoring SMU pretty highly.

[00:04:19] So SMU would be my outside shot there.

[00:04:24] All right, Jordan, what do you think?

[00:04:28] Honestly, if Miami was more consistent, I definitely see them winning the ACC.

[00:04:32] But at Georgia Tech, what Georgia Tech are we going to get?

[00:04:35] That's the biggest question.

[00:04:38] I could see...

[00:04:39] I wonder if Hayes King is going to be a healthy player is another question too.

[00:04:43] Because he's missed the last couple games.

[00:04:44] At Georgia Tech, that's difficult, especially when they play well.

[00:04:48] At Syracuse, what Kyle McCord are we getting?

[00:04:52] Four interception Kyle McCord?

[00:04:53] Or are we getting 400 passing yard by Kyle McCord?

[00:04:57] That's the biggest thing.

[00:04:58] And Miami's defense, like Jess said, is not there majority of the time.

[00:05:04] Especially recently.

[00:05:06] Cam Ward definitely starts the game off super slow and then picks it up.

[00:05:11] But if a team can key in on that and keep them to a slow game,

[00:05:18] even going into the second half,

[00:05:21] they can definitely control a game against Miami.

[00:05:24] For me, I think SMU.

[00:05:26] Right now they're hot.

[00:05:28] They're putting up huge numbers.

[00:05:31] And they look like a good all-around team.

[00:05:33] They just put up 48 against Pittsburgh,

[00:05:37] who was undefeated going into that.

[00:05:39] So I definitely can see SMU pulling off a win against Miami.

[00:05:44] Otherwise, I don't see Clemson going undefeated ending the season.

[00:05:49] I think that South Carolina game is going to be super tough.

[00:05:52] And I don't think Pittsburgh has to have SMU lose.

[00:05:58] And I don't see that happening.

[00:06:01] And I also don't see them really beating Clemson this year.

[00:06:06] So I got SMU.

[00:06:07] I think SMU is going to have a better all-around offense

[00:06:10] that's more consistent throughout the whole game.

[00:06:12] And their defense looks more consistent than Miami's right now.

[00:06:17] All right.

[00:06:19] I kind of am going back and forth with SMU and Miami.

[00:06:21] I feel like SMU is a more well-rounded team right now.

[00:06:25] I feel like Miami has a better player in Cam Ward.

[00:06:31] If it comes down to it,

[00:06:32] I think SMU might be able to win that game against Miami.

[00:06:35] So in that case, I would say SMU to me is looking like the most likely

[00:06:39] with Miami being the outside.

[00:06:41] But, I mean, that could be vice versa.

[00:06:43] But I think for those teams on the bubble as far as the playoff goes,

[00:06:47] what you don't want is Miami going undefeated the rest of the year,

[00:06:51] SMU going undefeated the rest of the year.

[00:06:52] SMU beat Miami.

[00:06:54] Then ACC gets two teams in because that's going to pull a spot away

[00:06:57] from someone else.

[00:06:58] But, I mean, that could potentially happen.

[00:07:02] That's what I was about to say.

[00:07:04] Like, the reason why I think SMU is more of like –

[00:07:08] more of the outside shot is because as of right now –

[00:07:11] I mean, we're going to see how the official playoff bracket shapes out.

[00:07:16] But right now, clearly, if both teams go undefeated,

[00:07:21] Miami just has so much more wiggle room, I guess, if you want to say.

[00:07:26] Like, if they lose in the conference championship, they're not going to –

[00:07:30] I don't think they would drop all the way out.

[00:07:32] But if both teams are kind of where they're at right now,

[00:07:36] fourth and 13th, and SMU loses in the conference championship,

[00:07:41] they're probably falling out.

[00:07:43] I mean, I don't know.

[00:07:45] I could – it's a long shot, but I could see Miami,

[00:07:48] if they do not win the ACC championship,

[00:07:49] just the way they've played and haven't blown out teams they should have

[00:07:52] in their conference, I could see them somehow getting pushed out.

[00:07:58] There are a lot of good teams that are one loss right now

[00:08:01] that probably will go end of the season with one to two losses

[00:08:05] that have been beating teams like they should have.

[00:08:09] They should.

[00:08:09] And Miami is not.

[00:08:11] I mean, if Miami goes in and beats the brakes off of Georgia Tech

[00:08:17] and Wake Forest or whatever, because, I mean,

[00:08:21] they had the close game against Cal.

[00:08:24] They had the close game against Virginia Tech.

[00:08:27] They had the close game against Louisville.

[00:08:30] And while for a while it was close against Duke,

[00:08:33] they did pull away and win by over 20.

[00:08:35] So, you know, I don't think they would – I'm not totally disagreeing.

[00:08:43] Like, if the committee really just doesn't like, you know,

[00:08:49] how Miami is played, maybe.

[00:08:52] But I think that is such a long shot,

[00:08:54] especially if Miami enters the conference championship game undefeated.

[00:09:01] My only fear of Miami, if I'm a Miami fan,

[00:09:03] is if they go to the ACC championship game, they're undefeated,

[00:09:06] they lose to SMU, and you're comparing them to Penn State.

[00:09:10] Neither team has a great win, but neither team has a bad loss at that point, right?

[00:09:15] So you don't want to put it in the committee's hands.

[00:09:18] So if you're Miami early, I think you just want to win this out

[00:09:21] because you don't want to – because you haven't had the toughest of gauntlets

[00:09:25] out there on your schedule, you don't want to give it a chance.

[00:09:27] So they definitely – I think if they – yeah, obviously,

[00:09:30] they probably do have a wiggle room.

[00:09:32] They lose one game, they could probably still do it.

[00:09:34] But you don't want to put that in the committee's hands for sure.

[00:09:37] So, yeah, Fox Sports does have – if Miami doesn't win the ACC,

[00:09:41] it looks like, and Clemson does or whatever, they'll be number 11th.

[00:09:48] Yeah, I mean, I can see – they definitely will fall if they don't win ACC.

[00:09:52] They'll definitely be in the bottom half.

[00:09:54] They won't be number 12 because I feel like the group of five will.

[00:09:57] But, yeah, so, I mean, that sounds about right.

[00:10:01] So they'll probably play in some team up north too, if that's the case,

[00:10:05] in the wintertime.

[00:10:06] So, all right.

[00:10:08] Let's move on to the Big 12.

[00:10:10] So for the Big 12, I mean, you could go really deep here in the Big 12.

[00:10:15] Like there's, what, five teams of two losses or less,

[00:10:19] and that's Kansas State, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, Arizona State, West Virginia.

[00:10:24] I did not include them in the teams I feel like has a shot at the playoff.

[00:10:28] I mean, but they mathematically do.

[00:10:30] I just feel like I don't put a lot of trust in the fact that they'll get there.

[00:10:35] So the three teams left with the best shot to me in making a playoff.

[00:10:39] Of course, BYU is undefeated.

[00:10:41] Iowa State has the one loss.

[00:10:43] And Colorado, which has two losses but only one loss in conference.

[00:10:47] So look at their schedules.

[00:10:49] BYU has Kansas, Arizona State, Houston.

[00:10:52] Honestly, I feel like they should just run through those teams.

[00:10:54] Kansas, if they decide to show up, maybe that's a game.

[00:10:57] But I just don't foresee it.

[00:11:00] Arizona State, you know, plays up and down.

[00:11:02] So that could be a game as well.

[00:11:03] But, again, anything happens on every Sunday.

[00:11:06] But those seem like those should be wins for BYU.

[00:11:09] Iowa State has Cincinnati, Utah, Kansas State,

[00:11:11] which is kind of a tougher gauntlet.

[00:11:13] But Cincinnati, all in that, you know, two to three loss category,

[00:11:17] all can play well on a given day.

[00:11:19] So that's a tougher schedule for Iowa State.

[00:11:22] Colorado has Utah, Kansas, Oklahoma State.

[00:11:25] Again, if you were to look to that schedule at the beginning of the year,

[00:11:28] that would have been a tough gauntlet.

[00:11:30] But Utah has played bad.

[00:11:31] Oklahoma State has played bad.

[00:11:33] Kansas has played bad.

[00:11:34] So you're not quite sure what to expect there.

[00:11:36] So you would think all these teams should be able to win these games.

[00:11:39] But, again, you never know.

[00:11:40] So with this being said, again, who – I'll start you, Jordan.

[00:11:44] Who's your most likely and who's your outside shot here to make the playoff

[00:11:47] from the Big 12?

[00:11:48] So my most likely is BYU.

[00:11:51] I just think they're the better team.

[00:11:56] They just look like the better team.

[00:12:00] Several games, it's not just their offense or defense carrying them.

[00:12:03] It's the whole team, special teams, defense, offense.

[00:12:07] Recently, Iowa State probably should have lost two games.

[00:12:12] They barely beat UCF by three, and they lost to Texas Tech.

[00:12:18] But my outside here is Kansas State.

[00:12:23] I think if Colorado loses –

[00:12:26] It's not going to give up on Kansas State.

[00:12:27] You're giving them up very weak.

[00:12:28] No, I don't.

[00:12:29] But if Colorado loses a game at the end of the season,

[00:12:33] Kansas State already beat Colorado, and Colorado does play Iowa State.

[00:12:38] Or Kansas State also plays Iowa State.

[00:12:40] So –

[00:12:41] They kind of control their own destiny.

[00:12:42] Yeah.

[00:12:43] So I'm – that's my outside horse.

[00:12:46] I can't – I'm not going to pick a team that's already on that list that you put out.

[00:12:49] So Kansas State can control their own destiny, but also Colorado needs to lose.

[00:12:56] Okay.

[00:12:57] Jeff?

[00:12:57] So they don't fully control their own destiny, but –

[00:13:01] Well, Colorado will probably lose one of the games, so it's okay.

[00:13:04] Yeah, probably.

[00:13:06] I mean –

[00:13:06] But to Colorado's credit, we gave them a lot of crap at the beginning of the year.

[00:13:09] They haven't had a pretty decent season, all things considered.

[00:13:12] No, they've looked a lot better as the year has gone on.

[00:13:16] But also, we also – just first off, look at who they played,

[00:13:21] and then recalibrate what you're saying.

[00:13:23] You can only play the team that's in front of you, you know?

[00:13:26] They almost lost to North Dakota State to begin the season.

[00:13:29] Tough team, though.

[00:13:30] But they didn't.

[00:13:32] They also lost to Nebraska.

[00:13:35] They lost to Kansas State.

[00:13:37] It happens, yeah.

[00:13:38] They blew out my Arizona team.

[00:13:42] They beat Cincinnati.

[00:13:44] Cincinnati, they – I mean, they played well.

[00:13:50] That defense has taken –

[00:13:52] Tony, you also forgot to put this week's games.

[00:13:57] Colorado does play Texas Tech this week.

[00:14:00] It's at the bottom of the list.

[00:14:02] Oh, you're talking about on this little thing.

[00:14:04] Oh, yeah.

[00:14:05] On the teams they play.

[00:14:05] So they do play teams this week.

[00:14:07] Tony forgot them.

[00:14:09] I didn't forget them.

[00:14:10] They're part of our review period later on, folks, so I apologize.

[00:14:14] Jordan can't read our –

[00:14:15] But you're also naming the three –

[00:14:17] you only said three games left of the season.

[00:14:19] I missed some human.

[00:14:21] I'm dying, and you're causing me havoc here, okay?

[00:14:25] I'm on my deathbed trying to put this agenda together for our fans.

[00:14:28] You're not dying fast enough, Tony.

[00:14:31] Apparently.

[00:14:31] Apparently not.

[00:14:32] But I think –

[00:14:33] I think even more so than the ACC, the Big 12 is really only going to get one team in,

[00:14:39] and I think that team's BYU.

[00:14:42] What if BYU is undefeated and they lose the Big 12 title game?

[00:14:47] Who are they playing in the Big 12 title game?

[00:14:49] Because right now, BYU is –

[00:14:52] Again, we're going to really –

[00:14:54] This would be a little easier if they had released the playoff bracket,

[00:15:03] the first official playoff rankings earlier,

[00:15:05] so we could see where the committee is really valuing them.

[00:15:08] But I think that BYU wouldn't get the benefit of the doubt the same way like Miami would.

[00:15:16] Who are they playing?

[00:15:17] That's the question.

[00:15:17] Okay, we'll say they play Kansas State because Kansas State's ranked right now.

[00:15:22] So they'll be –

[00:15:23] I think they drop out.

[00:15:26] I think they would drop out.

[00:15:27] Because Kansas State has two losses.

[00:15:28] With one loss.

[00:15:29] So they're 12-1, and you think they could drop out of the –

[00:15:32] Yeah.

[00:15:32] If they played like a team that had a one loss,

[00:15:35] like if they played Iowa State after Iowa State is going to beat Kansas State,

[00:15:39] who's ranked will probably be ranked in their play,

[00:15:42] and they lose to Iowa State with a one loss, beating these other ranked opponents,

[00:15:48] I could see BYU squeaking in at 11.

[00:15:50] If BYU enters the conference championship game undefeated but ranked 10th or 11th,

[00:15:59] which I could very well see –

[00:16:01] I could see them being a tougher level this week, to be honest.

[00:16:06] Yeah.

[00:16:06] Yeah.

[00:16:07] I could see them being behind Tennessee.

[00:16:10] I could see them being behind Penn State still.

[00:16:15] I could see them behind Notre Dame.

[00:16:17] I could –

[00:16:18] There are a lot of teams that I could see, fair or not,

[00:16:22] the committee just being like, it's BYU, you know?

[00:16:26] And I think –

[00:16:28] But to severe credit now, they have beat SMU,

[00:16:30] which is looking like a really good win, you know, that they had there.

[00:16:33] A very good win.

[00:16:35] And so –

[00:16:35] Who else did BYU beat this year?

[00:16:37] That's it.

[00:16:38] They really –

[00:16:40] Their schedule was that big –

[00:16:41] Because they're so –

[00:16:43] The Big 12 is so –

[00:16:45] They have –

[00:16:45] So they beat Kansas State 38-9.

[00:16:48] Which I feel like is a good win.

[00:16:49] They beat SMU 18-15.

[00:16:52] They –

[00:16:52] I mean, yeah.

[00:16:54] They have really –

[00:16:55] They play every –

[00:16:56] Three.

[00:16:57] USF by 13.

[00:16:59] I'm interested in this week's game against Utah.

[00:17:03] It's at Utah, but then Utah has not been himself.

[00:17:06] I'm looking forward to that Arizona State game at Arizona State.

[00:17:09] Arizona State looks pretty good, so that could be their game.

[00:17:14] Yeah, true.

[00:17:16] All right.

[00:17:16] Let's move ahead here.

[00:17:18] From the Big 12.

[00:17:19] Let's move on over to SEC.

[00:17:23] So, let's start with Georgia.

[00:17:26] So, obviously, I think Georgia's in.

[00:17:28] They have a pretty decent schedule the rest of the way.

[00:17:32] They play Ole Miss this weekend.

[00:17:33] Tennessee next weekend.

[00:17:35] Then they go to the tough UMass team.

[00:17:38] And then they play Georgia Tech.

[00:17:40] And Georgia Tech – Georgia's always pretty close from a rivalry perspective.

[00:17:44] So, they have three tough games left in their schedule.

[00:17:46] So, there's potential they could lose at least one of those.

[00:17:49] Texas A&M, they play New Mexico State next week after a bye.

[00:17:53] Then they play Auburn and then they play Texas.

[00:17:55] So, I feel like they should be able to handle New Mexico State, Auburn.

[00:17:58] And it comes down to that Texas game, which is at Texas A&M at night.

[00:18:02] Tennessee plays Mississippi State.

[00:18:04] So, they should be able to get that one.

[00:18:06] They play Georgia, UTEP, and Vanderbilt.

[00:18:09] Honestly, I feel like they're going to lose to Georgia, though.

[00:18:12] But we'll see.

[00:18:14] Texas plays Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, Texas A&M.

[00:18:18] So, again, Arkansas is always a little tricky.

[00:18:21] Florida, with the backup quarterback, I don't think it's going to be as difficult.

[00:18:24] Kentucky has been difficult for teams this year.

[00:18:27] LSU plays Alabama this weekend.

[00:18:28] Then they go to Florida, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma.

[00:18:31] They should be able – I mean, it really comes down to Alabama, LSU.

[00:18:34] The winner is still in.

[00:18:35] The loser is out.

[00:18:37] And then talking about Alabama, they play Mercer after LSU.

[00:18:40] Oklahoma, Auburn.

[00:18:42] Again, they should be able to win out.

[00:18:44] Ole Miss plays Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State.

[00:18:46] So, tough schedule because they're right old and Georgia.

[00:18:51] So, you know, those are the teams that are still left here

[00:18:56] that kind of control their own destiny of sorts or at least are still in it.

[00:19:00] So, out of these, which ones do you guys feel are most likely

[00:19:04] and which one would you maybe look at this, give an outside shot here.

[00:19:09] Start with you, Jess.

[00:19:09] So, I think the teams that are pretty much guaranteed are Georgia and Texas.

[00:19:22] And then I would say outside shot, Bama.

[00:19:31] Because I think Ole Miss is going to lose to Georgia

[00:19:36] and I think they're going to have three losses.

[00:19:38] And I honestly think the loss to Georgia could be an ugly one.

[00:19:44] I feel like Ole Miss should be out of it anyway, but they're still there.

[00:19:48] Yeah.

[00:19:50] Alabama, if they beat LSU, then I think that even though they pretty much don't

[00:19:58] have a shot at the conference championship,

[00:20:00] I feel like they're a two-loss team.

[00:20:04] We're going to have some of those.

[00:20:06] And it's Alabama.

[00:20:06] They're going to have Alabama in.

[00:20:10] But by beating LSU, that would give LSU their third loss.

[00:20:17] And I think that would just eliminate LSU.

[00:20:22] And then A&M is a tough one because they lose again.

[00:20:27] That will give them three losses.

[00:20:33] But.

[00:20:35] They're beating Texas.

[00:20:37] They're not beating Texas.

[00:20:38] They are.

[00:20:39] We could put money on it.

[00:20:40] We're beating Texas.

[00:20:41] I will.

[00:20:43] That week, we'll put money on it.

[00:20:46] That week.

[00:20:46] I will bet you $20 A&M does not beat Texas.

[00:20:50] Okay.

[00:20:51] Deal.

[00:20:52] Jordan, you want to get on this bet?

[00:20:53] Yeah, dude.

[00:20:53] I am in on Texas A&M beating Texas.

[00:20:58] All right.

[00:20:59] So if I'm the only one.

[00:21:00] You're wrong.

[00:21:01] So.

[00:21:02] Getting.

[00:21:02] Betting.

[00:21:03] Wait.

[00:21:03] Hold on.

[00:21:04] I'm not.

[00:21:04] We'll put $10 in.

[00:21:06] You put your $20 up.

[00:21:07] That sounds good.

[00:21:08] Wait, wait, wait, wait.

[00:21:10] That's how it works.

[00:21:12] You guys don't lose, Dan.

[00:21:13] If I lose.

[00:21:13] I will hold the money also.

[00:21:15] If I lose between the two of you.

[00:21:17] Sure.

[00:21:17] Whatever.

[00:21:18] I will hold the money also.

[00:21:19] The math is a lot in there for me.

[00:21:20] But whatever.

[00:21:22] A&M is not beating Texas.

[00:21:24] Or you can put $40 up.

[00:21:25] We'll put $20 apiece.

[00:21:26] I mean, we need to get that option.

[00:21:27] So.

[00:21:27] Either way.

[00:21:28] I'm losing way more than either of you.

[00:21:30] That's if you lose.

[00:21:31] That's if you lose.

[00:21:32] That's right.

[00:21:33] You are losing way more than we are.

[00:21:35] Because we're not losing.

[00:21:36] Yeah.

[00:21:38] All right.

[00:21:38] Well, when I.

[00:21:39] When you guys have to Venmo me.

[00:21:42] So be it.

[00:21:43] I'll go.

[00:21:44] I'll buy.

[00:21:45] I'll buy some nice.

[00:21:47] Playoff tickets.

[00:21:48] With my winnings.

[00:21:49] I doubt it.

[00:21:50] Won't be for Rutgers.

[00:21:51] What game are you going to go to?

[00:21:55] Is there like a division five game out there?

[00:21:57] Yeah.

[00:21:58] I'm going to the division three championship.

[00:22:01] Hey, don't judge those division three.

[00:22:02] Okay.

[00:22:02] Whitewater would probably beat Rutgers.

[00:22:03] They actually got some nice.

[00:22:06] Some nice teams.

[00:22:07] But in all seriousness.

[00:22:08] I think Georgia, Texas are getting in.

[00:22:12] I think Alabama will be the third team.

[00:22:16] With.

[00:22:17] Which McCall with A&M as kind of that.

[00:22:20] At large bubble team.

[00:22:24] Okay.

[00:22:24] Jordan, what do you think?

[00:22:26] So I don't think.

[00:22:27] I think Georgia.

[00:22:28] 100%.

[00:22:28] I think Georgia is going to win the SEC.

[00:22:30] I think the SEC is so.

[00:22:33] Random.

[00:22:34] There's no great, amazing team.

[00:22:36] But I just think that Georgia somehow finds the way to win.

[00:22:40] If they didn't start so slow against Alabama.

[00:22:42] They would have won that game.

[00:22:45] But.

[00:22:46] I have Georgia for sure getting in.

[00:22:49] I do not.

[00:22:50] I am so.

[00:22:51] I was high on Texas.

[00:22:52] But.

[00:22:53] When Texas loses to Texas A&M.

[00:22:55] And doesn't get to their conference championship.

[00:22:58] I.

[00:22:59] Do not think Texas gets in.

[00:23:01] Has Texas beaten anybody this year?

[00:23:03] No.

[00:23:06] Texas football schedule.

[00:23:08] Let's see.

[00:23:08] They beat Michigan.

[00:23:09] It was their big win.

[00:23:10] Oklahoma.

[00:23:11] Vanderbilt.

[00:23:13] Vanderbilt.

[00:23:13] I meant Vanderbilt's their biggest win.

[00:23:14] But they won by three.

[00:23:17] Okay.

[00:23:20] Why'd your voice crack?

[00:23:22] They didn't.

[00:23:23] Okay.

[00:23:24] But.

[00:23:25] They.

[00:23:26] Also.

[00:23:27] Vanderbilt.

[00:23:28] For context.

[00:23:29] Made it a three point game.

[00:23:31] With 46 seconds.

[00:23:33] That doesn't matter.

[00:23:36] Nope.

[00:23:37] I mean.

[00:23:37] I guess if you're betting the point spread.

[00:23:39] It matters.

[00:23:40] Doesn't matter.

[00:23:41] You know.

[00:23:41] But that game was competitive all game long.

[00:23:43] It was like.

[00:23:43] It was a competitive game.

[00:23:45] And they were way.

[00:23:45] They have way more talent than Vanderbilt does.

[00:23:48] But Vanderbilt played hard.

[00:23:49] They beat Alabama obviously.

[00:23:50] So.

[00:23:51] I'm not taking anything away from Vanderbilt.

[00:23:52] The players in front of you.

[00:23:53] And.

[00:23:54] They're.

[00:23:54] You know.

[00:23:54] How.

[00:23:55] What was the super tough.

[00:23:57] Non-conference game.

[00:23:58] Some of the other top teams.

[00:24:00] Have scheduled.

[00:24:01] First off.

[00:24:02] Can we also.

[00:24:03] Talk about.

[00:24:05] Um.

[00:24:06] Texas also plays Kentucky.

[00:24:08] And Kentucky.

[00:24:08] Kentucky almost beat Georgia.

[00:24:10] And Georgia beat.

[00:24:12] The breaks off Texas.

[00:24:15] Well Georgia.

[00:24:15] Yeah.

[00:24:15] And also Georgia beat Clemson.

[00:24:17] So that's their out of conference.

[00:24:19] Big win.

[00:24:19] I guess you would say.

[00:24:20] And I don't know how good.

[00:24:22] How good Clemson is.

[00:24:23] But they are better than.

[00:24:24] Than.

[00:24:24] Than Michigan.

[00:24:28] As far as.

[00:24:29] Yeah.

[00:24:29] Texas A&M.

[00:24:30] Played Notre Dame.

[00:24:31] But they lost.

[00:24:32] The SEC.

[00:24:33] That's what I guess.

[00:24:34] The question is.

[00:24:34] Has SEC beaten anybody.

[00:24:36] Outside their own conference.

[00:24:37] Outside Clemson.

[00:24:39] No.

[00:24:40] Um.

[00:24:40] Alabama beat Wisconsin.

[00:24:42] I don't know how that.

[00:24:43] Just thought I'd throw that out there.

[00:24:45] Yeah.

[00:24:46] Sadly though.

[00:24:47] What looked like.

[00:24:48] Maybe Wisconsin.

[00:24:49] Could put up a fight.

[00:24:50] Then their quarterback.

[00:24:52] Went down.

[00:24:52] Like on the first drive.

[00:24:54] Yeah.

[00:24:54] You know.

[00:24:55] I.

[00:24:56] I.

[00:24:56] I.

[00:24:56] I.

[00:24:57] I.

[00:24:57] I.

[00:24:57] I.

[00:24:57] I.

[00:24:59] Got heavy this year.

[00:25:00] I.

[00:25:00] I.

[00:25:00] I just.

[00:25:00] Don't know how good they are though.

[00:25:01] Like some of these teams.

[00:25:03] Like I'm not blown away.

[00:25:04] Like.

[00:25:05] In the years past.

[00:25:06] You just see a couple SEC teams.

[00:25:08] Like God.

[00:25:08] Nobody's able to beat them in the playoffs.

[00:25:10] I don't feel that this year.

[00:25:11] Like.

[00:25:12] I feel like other teams can beat these teams.

[00:25:14] You know.

[00:25:14] I think.

[00:25:15] It's a single team this year.

[00:25:17] That.

[00:25:18] Feels unbeatable.

[00:25:19] I think.

[00:25:19] Even Oregon does it feel unbeatable.

[00:25:21] To me.

[00:25:21] I think.

[00:25:22] The biggest question mark.

[00:25:24] For Georgia.

[00:25:26] Is.

[00:25:26] What Carson Beck are we getting?

[00:25:29] Four interceptions, probably.

[00:25:31] Are we getting second half against Alabama, Georgia?

[00:25:35] Are we getting...

[00:25:37] No, we don't care about Georgia team.

[00:25:38] It's all about Carson Beck.

[00:25:40] No, but that's my point, where the offense is going...

[00:25:45] But remember, Georgia's defense was getting absolutely shredded by Alabama in that first half.

[00:25:51] That's why I specified second half, where, you know, for the most part outside of, I think it was like the Ryan Williams, you know, score.

[00:26:00] Georgia's defense all of a sudden was holding up.

[00:26:03] They looked really good.

[00:26:05] Carson Beck wasn't turning the ball over.

[00:26:07] It was like what you kind of thought Georgia was going to be this year.

[00:26:12] You know, are we getting...

[00:26:14] But, I mean, even when they played Texas, yeah, they blew them out.

[00:26:19] But that was way more about Georgia's defense than it was Carson Beck and the offense doing stuff.

[00:26:24] Because Texas' defense really did their job that game.

[00:26:28] I mean, I think all but one scoring drive for Georgia in that game, you know, were all like 30 or less yards because of turnovers and fourth down stops and the like.

[00:26:41] So, but Georgia doesn't do any of that consistently.

[00:26:46] Especially, as you were saying, Jordan, Carson Beck has been ridiculously inconsistent.

[00:26:52] Yep.

[00:26:53] But it feels like if Ohio State is clicking on all cylinders, they look unbeatable.

[00:26:59] If Oregon's clicking on all cylinders, they look unbeatable.

[00:27:01] If Texas is clicking on all cylinders, they look unbeatable.

[00:27:05] If Georgia's clicking on all cylinders, they look unbeatable.

[00:27:09] You know, but...

[00:27:09] But no team is clicking on...

[00:27:11] I don't think I've seen Ohio State clicking all cylinders all year, though.

[00:27:13] I don't think they can.

[00:27:15] Will Howard will not let them.

[00:27:17] That and the offensive line of Ohio State, like we talked about earlier in the season, they can't just go out and run the ball when they really want to.

[00:27:24] They did a little bit against Penn State.

[00:27:25] They were running the ball when they wanted to against Penn State, and that was with the left half of their offensive line being...

[00:27:32] I think that's because Will Howard was struggling.

[00:27:34] They had over 160, 170 rushing yards or something.

[00:27:37] Yeah, because Will Howard was struggling.

[00:27:39] I think they just kind of got forced into doing it.

[00:27:41] Well, they do every game.

[00:27:42] That's my question.

[00:27:43] They were still averaging a good amount of yards per carry.

[00:27:50] I don't trust Penn State.

[00:27:53] I feel like Penn State doesn't come up...

[00:27:55] They were averaging 4.4 yards a carry.

[00:27:58] Yeah, but that's taking into account Will Howard averaging 2 yards a carry and Emika Egbuka averaging 3 yards a carry on two attempts.

[00:28:10] Judkins and Henderson were averaging over 6 yards a carry combined.

[00:28:15] I just don't trust them.

[00:28:18] They're inconsistent.

[00:28:19] I'm not saying you have to.

[00:28:19] They didn't score enough.

[00:28:20] I mean, I just feel like it's empty calories again for them.

[00:28:24] I don't know.

[00:28:25] I just feel like Will Howard's not the answer.

[00:28:27] He doesn't put enough pressure on defenses, and they're going to be able to stop...

[00:28:32] Good defenses are going to do more to stop the run and make them throw, and I don't think he's going to be able to.

[00:28:39] But more about that later.

[00:28:40] Speaking of that, let's go to the Big Ten.

[00:28:43] On to the Big Ten.

[00:28:44] We have four teams here I feel like are really still in contention to get to the playoff, win the Big Ten.

[00:28:52] Obviously, I think it's really three, but I put Penn State in here just because they have the one loss, so I got to put them here, I guess.

[00:28:59] But Indiana, Oregon, Ohio State, and Penn State are the teams I have listed.

[00:29:03] Indiana has a tougher schedule, Michigan, then at Ohio State, and then Purdue.

[00:29:09] Oregon has Maryland, Wisconsin, Washington.

[00:29:13] They have an easy draw at the end of the year.

[00:29:16] Ohio State has Purdue, Northwestern, Indiana, Michigan.

[00:29:20] Penn State has Washington, Purdue, Minnesota, Maryland.

[00:29:23] So, based on this, who do you guys perceive?

[00:29:26] One, being the two teams in the college football, I mean the Big Ten championship,

[00:29:32] and who do you see kind of as a representative, and how many teams do you think the Big Ten will get in?

[00:29:37] So, start with you, Jess.

[00:29:42] Honestly, I could see all four making it.

[00:29:50] If Indiana only has one loss.

[00:29:58] Yeah, and even if they lose to Ohio State or in the conference championship,

[00:30:05] then I...

[00:30:07] Assuming Penn State goes undefeated the rest of the way, which I think they should,

[00:30:14] if Indiana only has one loss the rest of the way, be it against Ohio State or in the conference championship,

[00:30:21] and then even if Ohio State gets a second loss against Indiana or in the conference championship,

[00:30:27] but my point is, essentially, I think they could all make it.

[00:30:31] Like, I'm not...

[00:30:32] There's too many, you know, kind of scenarios there to really get into.

[00:30:36] But, essentially, barring anybody there getting multiple losses throughout the way,

[00:30:44] which I don't think any of us expect to happen,

[00:30:47] if they're all one-loss teams or Ohio State has two losses,

[00:30:55] then I think they all make it.

[00:30:59] You agree, Jordan?

[00:31:00] Do you follow my logic there, or was that just way too nonsensical?

[00:31:05] Nonsensical.

[00:31:08] Essentially, Jordan, if...

[00:31:10] I know, I know what you said.

[00:31:11] I understand.

[00:31:12] So, I think if...

[00:31:15] In my eyes, it's going to be Oregon, Indiana.

[00:31:18] I think Indiana's offense and defense look amazing.

[00:31:23] If their quarterback's healthy.

[00:31:25] Well, I mean, it was their first time trailing in a game all season last week against Michigan State.

[00:31:32] Then they scored, like, 47 points in a row after they trailed.

[00:31:35] I think their offense is electric.

[00:31:37] I like them.

[00:31:41] When they beat Ohio State, put it here now,

[00:31:44] when they beat Ohio State.

[00:31:47] If Oregon beats them,

[00:31:50] I do not think Ohio State gets in.

[00:31:53] Barring the two losses.

[00:31:55] I think Ohio State, with how close the conferences are this year,

[00:32:01] I think that Ohio State hasn't done enough to give me...

[00:32:10] That the committee's going to say, let's get them in.

[00:32:14] Unless they get...

[00:32:16] Indiana is the Big Ten champion,

[00:32:17] and that's their other loss,

[00:32:19] is against the Big Ten champion and the second, the runner-up.

[00:32:23] But I can see Oregon, Indiana for sure getting it.

[00:32:29] Well, if Indiana beats Ohio State

[00:32:31] and makes it to the conference championship,

[00:32:35] then regardless of the outcome,

[00:32:37] assuming it's Oregon versus Indiana,

[00:32:39] then Ohio State's two losses are

[00:32:42] the conference champion and the conference runner-up.

[00:32:48] And they had their chances.

[00:32:49] They should have been in.

[00:32:50] Yeah.

[00:32:51] We don't want Ohio State in.

[00:32:52] Let's not talk about it.

[00:32:53] Well, yeah, just because you don't want them in.

[00:32:55] No, I mean...

[00:32:56] Not because I don't want them, but like...

[00:32:58] Like, same thing if any conference...

[00:33:00] Any team that didn't make the conference title

[00:33:01] and they lost both to both the conference champion

[00:33:04] and the conference runner-up,

[00:33:06] they had their shot at the playoff.

[00:33:07] They lost it to those two teams.

[00:33:09] Well, I think, you know, then that's...

[00:33:11] First off.

[00:33:11] I think the context there is that Ohio State lost to Oregon

[00:33:14] because Will Howard slid too late.

[00:33:18] Well, that's his fault.

[00:33:19] He was an idiot.

[00:33:19] First off.

[00:33:20] If Indiana blows out Ohio State,

[00:33:24] then that is one thing.

[00:33:25] But if it's another super close loss,

[00:33:28] whether or not we think it's fair,

[00:33:32] I think the committee will look at it.

[00:33:35] It's like, it's Ohio State.

[00:33:37] That's viewership.

[00:33:38] That's brand.

[00:33:40] Their two losses were to the two teams

[00:33:43] in the conference championship

[00:33:45] who we are now saying are really good.

[00:33:47] Both losses were super close.

[00:33:49] I thousand percent...

[00:33:51] If it comes down to a one loss Miami

[00:33:53] and just lost in the conference championship game

[00:33:55] or a two loss Ohio State

[00:33:57] that didn't make the conference championship game,

[00:33:59] which one would you go with?

[00:34:01] What do you think the committee would go with?

[00:34:03] I think the committee would go with Ohio State.

[00:34:08] I don't know.

[00:34:10] Because if...

[00:34:11] Well, again, I think is...

[00:34:14] One, I think if it really...

[00:34:16] I don't think it's going to even remotely come down

[00:34:18] to something like that

[00:34:19] because I think they would find a way

[00:34:21] to get both teams in.

[00:34:23] I think that you guys are grossly underestimating

[00:34:26] how much the committee is going to value

[00:34:29] the brand of Ohio State.

[00:34:31] There's...

[00:34:32] The brand of Miami.

[00:34:32] But there's so many good teams

[00:34:35] that have won the two losses this year.

[00:34:38] If that's the case,

[00:34:39] if Texas didn't make it,

[00:34:41] they have two losses,

[00:34:42] I feel like they'll put Texas in over Ohio State

[00:34:45] because Texas has, I think,

[00:34:47] similar wins to them.

[00:34:48] I don't know.

[00:34:50] But also...

[00:34:50] I think we're all...

[00:34:51] A lot of these teams are going to be so similar.

[00:34:53] It's going to be hard to decide which one's better

[00:34:56] because Ohio State hasn't really beaten anybody great

[00:34:59] other than Penn State

[00:35:00] and they haven't looked good in other games

[00:35:02] when they have beat teams.

[00:35:04] I don't know.

[00:35:05] Same thing with other teams.

[00:35:06] Nobody has looked great.

[00:35:07] But Georgia hasn't looked great

[00:35:10] in all of their wins.

[00:35:12] Alabama hasn't looked great in all of their wins.

[00:35:13] Yeah, no one's looked great.

[00:35:15] I think the only team that's looked great

[00:35:18] in all of their wins was Texas,

[00:35:21] but then they played Georgia

[00:35:23] and the offense struggled so much

[00:35:25] that I think it was a bit of a damper.

[00:35:27] First off, we are not putting into consideration

[00:35:31] that Ohio State could lose to Michigan.

[00:35:36] I mean, I did call that.

[00:35:38] Right, because I think that's not going to happen.

[00:35:41] Hey, I don't know because I don't know...

[00:35:45] Hey, we could just all be mute though.

[00:35:46] Michigan could beat Indiana this weekend.

[00:35:49] Yeah.

[00:35:50] Maybe.

[00:35:51] Michigan's defense has been the best defense

[00:35:53] Indiana has played.

[00:35:54] But I don't think Michigan will be able to score.

[00:35:57] So who knows what will happen.

[00:35:59] I don't know.

[00:36:01] Yeah.

[00:36:02] All right.

[00:36:02] Let's move out of the Big Ten here.

[00:36:04] I think we...

[00:36:04] There's a lot that could happen there.

[00:36:06] I think a lot to be decided.

[00:36:08] I am interested to see how Indiana does

[00:36:09] the next couple of weeks.

[00:36:10] I do think they're a pretty good team.

[00:36:12] They're obviously the second best team in Indiana,

[00:36:15] so I hope they continue to do well there.

[00:36:18] All right.

[00:36:19] Let's move on to the group of five

[00:36:21] and independents.

[00:36:26] So let's see.

[00:36:28] So there's a lot of teams here.

[00:36:29] Obviously, I have Notre Dame

[00:36:30] from an independent point of view.

[00:36:31] They have Florida State, Virginia,

[00:36:33] Army at Yankee Stadium, USC.

[00:36:36] The only ranked team left on that schedule is Army.

[00:36:38] USC, I don't know if you saw that today, guys.

[00:36:40] They benched Miller Moss

[00:36:42] and went to a different quarterback.

[00:36:43] So we'll see if that changes their season at all.

[00:36:47] And then from the group of fives,

[00:36:50] obviously there's a lot of teams

[00:36:52] that can win their conference

[00:36:53] from a group of five perspective

[00:36:54] and make it.

[00:36:55] Army, Tulane, Navy, Western Kentucky,

[00:36:58] Jacksonville State, Western Michigan,

[00:37:00] Miami, Ohio, Ohio, Boise State,

[00:37:03] Colorado State, Washington State,

[00:37:05] Georgia Southern, Marshall,

[00:37:07] Louisiana, and Arkansas State.

[00:37:09] So out of all those teams,

[00:37:11] which one do you feel like

[00:37:12] will be the group of five representative?

[00:37:15] And who do you have as a backup

[00:37:17] if they don't make it?

[00:37:19] So start with you, Jordan.

[00:37:22] So right, I have Boise State.

[00:37:26] I think a lot of people have Boise State.

[00:37:31] Just, you know,

[00:37:34] Aston Jonti, that's it.

[00:37:36] But how close they played against Oregon

[00:37:38] and Oregon's going to be number one,

[00:37:41] honestly, probably tonight

[00:37:42] and going forward

[00:37:43] till the conference championship game.

[00:37:47] But I could also see,

[00:37:50] it probably won't happen

[00:37:52] because they really didn't play anyone,

[00:37:55] but I could see Army

[00:37:59] being that dark, you know,

[00:38:01] horse 12th seed

[00:38:02] having one loss against Notre Dame

[00:38:05] and winning their conference

[00:38:07] and if Boise State loses a game

[00:38:10] coming up or whatnot,

[00:38:11] squeezes in there.

[00:38:13] Out of all the conference teams,

[00:38:15] I think just Army's

[00:38:17] probably one of the most

[00:38:18] more dominant teams this season.

[00:38:20] So, yeah.

[00:38:22] Yeah.

[00:38:22] It's not a lot on that,

[00:38:24] but Boise State,

[00:38:25] I think if Boise State

[00:38:26] finishes out the season,

[00:38:27] wins their conference

[00:38:28] with their close win

[00:38:31] or close loss to Oregon,

[00:38:33] I think it's going to be a huge,

[00:38:36] that's what's going to push them in.

[00:38:38] Especially pushing,

[00:38:39] also beating UNLV

[00:38:41] who was one of the favorites

[00:38:43] going into that game.

[00:38:46] So, but if another,

[00:38:48] if Boise State doesn't win out,

[00:38:51] wins their conference

[00:38:52] and Army loses their one game

[00:38:54] against Notre Dame,

[00:38:55] wins out and wins their conference,

[00:38:59] I could see Army squeezing in there.

[00:39:02] And that would be scary

[00:39:03] for certain teams.

[00:39:07] Yeah, I mean,

[00:39:08] I think obviously Notre Dame

[00:39:09] should make it.

[00:39:10] I don't see a loss

[00:39:12] remaining on their schedule.

[00:39:14] And then Boise State,

[00:39:16] barring, you know,

[00:39:17] anything shocking,

[00:39:18] I think that they're going to want

[00:39:19] the Boise State brand.

[00:39:22] I think they're going to want

[00:39:23] the Ashton Gianti,

[00:39:25] you know, highlight machine,

[00:39:28] all that sort of stuff.

[00:39:29] And I don't think they,

[00:39:33] the only other team

[00:39:34] that I think really has a shot

[00:39:36] would be Navy if they went out,

[00:39:41] Army if they went out,

[00:39:43] but that means Army

[00:39:44] would have to beat Notre Dame

[00:39:46] and I just don't see that happening.

[00:39:49] So,

[00:39:50] I don't really have much to add.

[00:39:51] I think Jordan covered it pretty well.

[00:39:53] Yeah, I mean,

[00:39:54] I think we're grieving on the teams.

[00:39:56] I think Boise State...

[00:39:56] You mugging the camera

[00:39:57] after that, Jordan.

[00:40:00] I think Boise and Army are the top.

[00:40:02] Army, obviously,

[00:40:03] if they went out

[00:40:04] and beat Notre Dame,

[00:40:05] I think they'll get in

[00:40:06] over Boise State

[00:40:07] because they'll be undefeated

[00:40:08] and have a couple good wins.

[00:40:11] If they don't,

[00:40:11] they lose a close one

[00:40:12] at Notre Dame.

[00:40:13] It could be,

[00:40:14] you know,

[00:40:14] it could come down to

[00:40:16] preference

[00:40:16] and how they do

[00:40:17] the rest of the season,

[00:40:18] but I tend to agree

[00:40:19] I think Boise State

[00:40:20] will be the one

[00:40:22] that gets figured.

[00:40:22] How scary

[00:40:23] would these teams

[00:40:24] that have never played

[00:40:25] Army

[00:40:27] go up against them?

[00:40:29] How do you watch film on it?

[00:40:32] Yeah,

[00:40:32] I know that.

[00:40:33] Imagine a team like Miami

[00:40:34] playing this

[00:40:36] with that defense.

[00:40:37] That would be

[00:40:39] catastrophic.

[00:40:39] That would be a high-scoring game

[00:40:41] because Miami

[00:40:41] could put up points.

[00:40:43] Yeah,

[00:40:44] but they would not

[00:40:44] be able to stop.

[00:40:45] 400.

[00:40:46] I think Army would definitely

[00:40:47] limit possessions

[00:40:48] and just win the time

[00:40:51] of possession

[00:40:51] and score

[00:40:52] every time they have the ball.

[00:40:54] It makes for an interesting

[00:40:55] game matchup still

[00:40:57] for sure in playoffs.

[00:40:58] All right,

[00:40:59] so those are

[00:40:59] who we think

[00:41:00] has the best shot.

[00:41:01] I mean,

[00:41:02] obviously,

[00:41:02] the next couple weeks

[00:41:03] I think this will be

[00:41:04] drastically decreased

[00:41:06] and we'll take a look

[00:41:06] at it again here soon.

[00:41:08] For topic number two here,

[00:41:10] let's talk about

[00:41:11] our predictions

[00:41:12] for who we feel

[00:41:12] like the committee

[00:41:13] will rank

[00:41:15] as the top 12 teams

[00:41:16] just go around.

[00:41:17] Obviously,

[00:41:18] looking at the AP poll,

[00:41:20] just to give you an idea,

[00:41:20] we have Oregon number one,

[00:41:22] Georgia number two,

[00:41:22] Ohio State three,

[00:41:24] Miami four,

[00:41:25] Texas five,

[00:41:26] Penn State six,

[00:41:27] Tennessee seven,

[00:41:28] Indiana eight,

[00:41:29] BYU nine,

[00:41:30] Notre Dame 10,

[00:41:31] Alabama 11,

[00:41:32] Boise State 12,

[00:41:33] SMU 13,

[00:41:34] LSU 14,

[00:41:35] Texas A&M 15.

[00:41:37] So,

[00:41:39] based on that

[00:41:39] current AP poll,

[00:41:40] what do you think

[00:41:41] will be maybe

[00:41:42] something that's

[00:41:42] drastically different

[00:41:43] on the playoff

[00:41:45] committee's ranking?

[00:41:48] Or what would you

[00:41:49] like to see as well?

[00:41:50] So,

[00:41:50] start with you,

[00:41:51] Jess.

[00:41:53] I mean,

[00:41:57] I think it would be

[00:41:59] a little crazy

[00:42:00] to,

[00:42:02] like,

[00:42:04] I think the top

[00:42:05] 12 teams,

[00:42:07] I would put

[00:42:08] Notre Dame

[00:42:08] a little higher.

[00:42:09] I mean,

[00:42:10] if they're basing

[00:42:11] it off of the bracket,

[00:42:13] I don't think

[00:42:14] they are.

[00:42:14] We talked a bit

[00:42:15] about this

[00:42:15] before the pod,

[00:42:17] you know,

[00:42:17] the format of how

[00:42:18] they're going to

[00:42:18] release this.

[00:42:19] Yeah.

[00:42:22] You know,

[00:42:22] but I think

[00:42:23] Notre Dame

[00:42:23] could be a bit

[00:42:24] higher.

[00:42:25] BYU

[00:42:27] probably

[00:42:27] isn't

[00:42:28] going to,

[00:42:29] like,

[00:42:30] if it's bracket

[00:42:31] format,

[00:42:32] then I think

[00:42:32] BYU would have

[00:42:33] to be in the

[00:42:34] four.

[00:42:36] I think

[00:42:37] it would go

[00:42:37] Oregon one,

[00:42:38] Georgia two,

[00:42:40] Miami three,

[00:42:40] BYU four,

[00:42:42] because I think

[00:42:42] those right now

[00:42:43] would be,

[00:42:43] like,

[00:42:44] the top

[00:42:44] conference

[00:42:45] champions.

[00:42:47] And then

[00:42:48] after that,

[00:42:49] I think you

[00:42:49] would have,

[00:42:51] I think they

[00:42:52] would put

[00:42:55] Ohio State

[00:42:56] five,

[00:42:57] or Notre

[00:42:58] Dame five,

[00:42:59] Ohio State

[00:43:00] six,

[00:43:00] Texas seven,

[00:43:03] maybe Indiana

[00:43:04] in the eight.

[00:43:06] Boise State

[00:43:07] would have to

[00:43:07] take the 12.

[00:43:08] I don't think

[00:43:08] they would put

[00:43:09] Army above

[00:43:10] Boise State

[00:43:10] right now.

[00:43:11] And then I

[00:43:12] think it would

[00:43:13] be some

[00:43:13] combination of

[00:43:17] Tennessee,

[00:43:19] Bama,

[00:43:20] maybe A&M

[00:43:21] gets some

[00:43:22] love right now,

[00:43:23] but I don't

[00:43:24] think so,

[00:43:24] not after

[00:43:25] their loss

[00:43:26] last week,

[00:43:27] but I

[00:43:28] don't think

[00:43:29] there's,

[00:43:29] like,

[00:43:30] I don't think

[00:43:31] there should

[00:43:31] be too much

[00:43:33] kind of

[00:43:34] crazy discourse

[00:43:35] right now

[00:43:37] about,

[00:43:38] like,

[00:43:39] oh,

[00:43:40] what teams

[00:43:41] should be in.

[00:43:42] You know,

[00:43:42] I think

[00:43:44] SMU is going

[00:43:44] to be,

[00:43:45] like,

[00:43:45] one of the

[00:43:45] first teams

[00:43:46] out.

[00:43:46] Iowa State

[00:43:46] would be

[00:43:47] one of the

[00:43:47] first teams

[00:43:47] out.

[00:43:48] So,

[00:43:49] maybe they

[00:43:49] give Army

[00:43:50] a little love

[00:43:50] and they're

[00:43:51] one of the

[00:43:51] first teams

[00:43:51] out,

[00:43:52] but I

[00:43:52] don't see

[00:43:52] that happening.

[00:43:54] Yeah.

[00:43:55] All right,

[00:43:55] Jordan,

[00:43:56] what about you?

[00:43:56] What are you

[00:43:57] seeing?

[00:43:57] What do you

[00:43:58] think the

[00:43:58] committee would

[00:43:58] do based

[00:43:59] on which

[00:43:59] compared to

[00:44:00] eight people?

[00:44:01] If we're

[00:44:02] going to do

[00:44:02] it like

[00:44:03] how Jess did

[00:44:03] it with,

[00:44:04] like,

[00:44:04] the top

[00:44:04] four,

[00:44:05] besides

[00:44:06] Miami,

[00:44:06] I think

[00:44:08] SMU is

[00:44:08] going to

[00:44:08] win the

[00:44:09] ACC,

[00:44:11] but the

[00:44:11] rest of

[00:44:12] it is

[00:44:12] fine.

[00:44:13] I definitely

[00:44:14] see them

[00:44:15] not ranking

[00:44:15] Notre Dame

[00:44:16] at five,

[00:44:17] especially if

[00:44:18] Texas A&M

[00:44:19] loses to

[00:44:19] Texas.

[00:44:20] I can see

[00:44:21] them eight,

[00:44:22] nine,

[00:44:22] ten,

[00:44:23] one of

[00:44:23] those areas.

[00:44:24] That's what

[00:44:24] I've been

[00:44:24] seeing on

[00:44:25] a lot of

[00:44:26] predictions.

[00:44:27] Being at

[00:44:28] five,

[00:44:28] I think if

[00:44:29] they went

[00:44:29] undefeated,

[00:44:29] they'd be

[00:44:30] at five,

[00:44:30] but just

[00:44:30] with that

[00:44:32] one glooming

[00:44:34] loss,

[00:44:35] I don't

[00:44:36] think they'll

[00:44:37] put them up

[00:44:37] that high.

[00:44:39] I was kind

[00:44:40] of basing this

[00:44:41] off of the

[00:44:41] first one that's

[00:44:42] going to be

[00:44:42] coming out.

[00:44:43] I don't see

[00:44:44] them putting

[00:44:44] them that high

[00:44:44] anyway.

[00:44:46] Fair enough.

[00:44:47] I think

[00:44:48] they're going

[00:44:48] to be eight.

[00:44:50] Yeah,

[00:44:50] I kind of

[00:44:50] see that.

[00:44:51] I think

[00:44:52] they're going

[00:44:52] to give

[00:44:52] Ohio State

[00:44:53] the benefit

[00:44:53] of the doubt

[00:44:54] because Ohio

[00:44:54] State's one

[00:44:55] loss is to

[00:44:55] Oregon.

[00:44:56] Even though

[00:44:57] they maybe

[00:44:57] haven't looked

[00:44:58] as good

[00:44:58] in every

[00:44:59] game,

[00:44:59] they only

[00:44:59] lost to

[00:45:00] one game

[00:45:00] two,

[00:45:00] the number

[00:45:01] one team.

[00:45:03] I think

[00:45:04] one,

[00:45:04] two,

[00:45:05] three are

[00:45:08] going to be

[00:45:09] similar in

[00:45:10] the playoff

[00:45:11] thing.

[00:45:12] Miami,

[00:45:13] Texas,

[00:45:14] they may

[00:45:14] give Texas

[00:45:15] a little

[00:45:15] more credits

[00:45:16] than Miami.

[00:45:17] What do

[00:45:17] you think,

[00:45:17] Jordan?

[00:45:19] Maybe.

[00:45:19] I think

[00:45:21] they'll

[00:45:22] leave Miami

[00:45:22] where,

[00:45:23] I think

[00:45:24] it'll be

[00:45:25] this,

[00:45:25] Texas won't

[00:45:26] jump over

[00:45:26] Miami.

[00:45:27] I just

[00:45:27] don't see

[00:45:28] that happening.

[00:45:30] Who has

[00:45:30] Texas

[00:45:30] really

[00:45:31] played

[00:45:32] like we

[00:45:33] talked about?

[00:45:35] It's the

[00:45:35] difference is

[00:45:36] Miami has

[00:45:37] won every

[00:45:37] game no

[00:45:38] matter what

[00:45:38] they've done

[00:45:39] in those

[00:45:39] games and

[00:45:40] Texas hasn't

[00:45:41] really played

[00:45:41] anyone and

[00:45:42] lost against

[00:45:43] Georgia.

[00:45:44] So,

[00:45:45] I think if

[00:45:47] Miami lost

[00:45:47] a game,

[00:45:47] it'd be

[00:45:48] Texas over

[00:45:49] them,

[00:45:50] but because

[00:45:50] they're

[00:45:50] undefeated,

[00:45:52] I think that

[00:45:53] might keep

[00:45:54] them.

[00:45:55] Somehow,

[00:45:56] they did it

[00:45:57] this week

[00:45:58] with Notre

[00:45:58] Dame having

[00:45:59] a bye and

[00:46:00] they dropped

[00:46:00] them two.

[00:46:03] I think

[00:46:04] they're

[00:46:04] going to

[00:46:05] look at

[00:46:05] they wanted

[00:46:05] to throw

[00:46:06] in Indiana

[00:46:06] BYU above

[00:46:07] them,

[00:46:08] basically.

[00:46:09] also,

[00:46:09] if you

[00:46:10] look at

[00:46:10] it,

[00:46:10] Miami has

[00:46:13] one more

[00:46:13] game played

[00:46:15] than Texas

[00:46:16] does so

[00:46:16] far.

[00:46:18] That might

[00:46:18] be looked

[00:46:20] at.

[00:46:20] But I

[00:46:21] think it's

[00:46:22] going to

[00:46:22] stay probably

[00:46:24] pretty close

[00:46:25] to the

[00:46:25] AP polls

[00:46:26] right now.

[00:46:27] I think

[00:46:28] Penn State

[00:46:28] should be

[00:46:29] lower.

[00:46:30] I think

[00:46:31] Penn State

[00:46:31] should be

[00:46:31] below,

[00:46:32] definitely

[00:46:33] below Texas,

[00:46:34] Ohio State,

[00:46:35] Georgia,

[00:46:36] Tennessee,

[00:46:36] Notre Dame,

[00:46:37] as far as

[00:46:38] one loss.

[00:46:39] I don't know

[00:46:41] if I can see

[00:46:41] them dropping

[00:46:42] them past

[00:46:43] Notre Dame.

[00:46:44] Just because

[00:46:45] the one

[00:46:45] loss for

[00:46:47] both of

[00:46:47] them.

[00:46:47] They don't

[00:46:47] have the

[00:46:48] win.

[00:46:48] That's the

[00:46:49] thing.

[00:46:49] Notre Dame

[00:46:50] has two

[00:46:50] better wins

[00:46:51] than they

[00:46:51] do.

[00:46:51] Yeah,

[00:46:52] but I

[00:46:53] can just

[00:46:54] see that

[00:46:54] loss.

[00:46:55] I think

[00:46:57] honestly to

[00:46:57] me,

[00:46:59] yeah,

[00:46:59] Notre Dame

[00:47:00] has two

[00:47:00] better wins,

[00:47:02] but the

[00:47:03] loss

[00:47:05] knocked one

[00:47:06] of those

[00:47:06] wins away.

[00:47:09] I don't

[00:47:10] know.

[00:47:10] I just

[00:47:11] hope Penn

[00:47:12] State doesn't

[00:47:12] get credit

[00:47:13] for beating

[00:47:13] a bunch of

[00:47:14] bad teams

[00:47:14] in this

[00:47:15] coast to

[00:47:16] the playoffs,

[00:47:16] I guess is

[00:47:17] my thought.

[00:47:19] What

[00:47:20] Washington are

[00:47:20] they going

[00:47:21] to get this

[00:47:21] week?

[00:47:21] That's the

[00:47:21] question as

[00:47:22] well.

[00:47:23] Hopefully

[00:47:23] last year

[00:47:24] was

[00:47:24] Washington.

[00:47:25] What ifs

[00:47:25] are the

[00:47:26] beginning

[00:47:26] here?

[00:47:27] Yeah.

[00:47:28] All right.

[00:47:29] Let's move

[00:47:30] ahead.

[00:47:30] We have

[00:47:31] quickly

[00:47:32] give our

[00:47:33] predictions of

[00:47:34] who's going

[00:47:34] to win.

[00:47:35] Some of

[00:47:36] the top

[00:47:36] matchups

[00:47:36] are next

[00:47:37] week,

[00:47:37] including

[00:47:37] if we

[00:47:38] have any

[00:47:38] potential

[00:47:39] upset

[00:47:39] picks

[00:47:40] that we

[00:47:40] want to

[00:47:40] make.

[00:47:41] Starting

[00:47:41] first for

[00:47:41] Georgia,

[00:47:42] Ole Miss.

[00:47:44] Obviously

[00:47:44] we talked a

[00:47:45] little bit

[00:47:45] about it.

[00:47:46] Ole Miss

[00:47:46] has looked

[00:47:47] up and

[00:47:48] down this

[00:47:48] season,

[00:47:49] so has

[00:47:49] Georgia.

[00:47:50] This one

[00:47:50] is at

[00:47:51] Ole Miss.

[00:47:51] So,

[00:47:52] Jess,

[00:47:52] who do you

[00:47:52] got?

[00:47:53] Georgia,

[00:47:53] Ole Miss?

[00:47:54] I've got

[00:47:55] Georgia.

[00:47:55] I don't

[00:47:56] think,

[00:47:57] I think

[00:47:57] Georgia's

[00:47:58] defense is

[00:47:58] going to

[00:47:59] be too

[00:47:59] good.

[00:47:59] They're

[00:48:00] going to

[00:48:00] be able

[00:48:00] to slow

[00:48:00] down

[00:48:01] Ole Miss,

[00:48:01] but I

[00:48:01] don't

[00:48:02] think

[00:48:02] Ole Miss'

[00:48:02] defense is,

[00:48:04] even if

[00:48:04] Carson Beck

[00:48:05] is looking

[00:48:05] inconsistent,

[00:48:07] I think

[00:48:08] Georgia's

[00:48:09] the better

[00:48:10] team

[00:48:10] overall.

[00:48:11] So,

[00:48:11] give me

[00:48:12] Georgia.

[00:48:13] All right,

[00:48:13] Jordan,

[00:48:13] agree?

[00:48:14] Yeah,

[00:48:14] I think

[00:48:14] Georgia's

[00:48:15] going to

[00:48:15] be one

[00:48:15] of the

[00:48:16] better

[00:48:16] defenses,

[00:48:16] and we

[00:48:17] looked at

[00:48:17] Ole Miss

[00:48:18] played

[00:48:19] Kentucky,

[00:48:19] who has

[00:48:20] a good

[00:48:21] defense,

[00:48:21] and they

[00:48:22] lost.

[00:48:24] And they

[00:48:25] played

[00:48:25] LSU,

[00:48:26] who has a

[00:48:26] decent

[00:48:26] defense,

[00:48:27] and they

[00:48:27] lost.

[00:48:28] So,

[00:48:28] I think

[00:48:29] this is

[00:48:29] going to

[00:48:29] be one

[00:48:29] of the

[00:48:29] harder

[00:48:30] teams for

[00:48:30] Ole Miss

[00:48:31] to play,

[00:48:31] and I

[00:48:31] think

[00:48:32] Georgia's

[00:48:32] going to

[00:48:32] win this

[00:48:33] one.

[00:48:34] Yeah,

[00:48:34] I agree.

[00:48:35] I think

[00:48:35] the defense

[00:48:35] will be

[00:48:35] too much

[00:48:36] for Ole

[00:48:36] Miss.

[00:48:37] These are

[00:48:37] the games

[00:48:38] that Ole

[00:48:56] Miss

[00:48:56] but this

[00:48:56] one's at

[00:48:57] Indiana,

[00:48:57] so it

[00:48:58] gives a

[00:48:59] little bit

[00:48:59] of home

[00:48:59] field

[00:48:59] advantage.

[00:49:00] So,

[00:49:00] Jordan,

[00:49:00] who you

[00:49:01] got?

[00:49:01] Michigan,

[00:49:01] Indiana.

[00:49:02] I got

[00:49:02] Indiana.

[00:49:03] I think

[00:49:03] being at

[00:49:04] home,

[00:49:04] being ranked

[00:49:05] eight,

[00:49:06] honestly,

[00:49:06] they probably

[00:49:07] are going

[00:49:07] to be ranked

[00:49:07] a little

[00:49:08] higher coming

[00:49:08] into this

[00:49:09] college ball

[00:49:10] playoff

[00:49:10] prediction,

[00:49:11] maybe at

[00:49:12] eight.

[00:49:13] Going to

[00:49:13] be popping

[00:49:14] in Indiana,

[00:49:15] and I

[00:49:16] think it's

[00:49:17] 3.30,

[00:49:17] they're going

[00:49:18] to be

[00:49:18] drunk,

[00:49:18] ready to

[00:49:19] go.

[00:49:20] I don't

[00:49:20] think

[00:49:20] Michigan

[00:49:22] has an

[00:49:22] offense

[00:49:23] still.

[00:49:24] Michigan's

[00:49:24] offense

[00:49:25] has been

[00:49:25] drunk,

[00:49:25] ready to

[00:49:26] go.

[00:49:27] Yeah,

[00:49:27] so,

[00:49:28] give me

[00:49:28] Indiana

[00:49:29] by like

[00:49:30] four

[00:49:30] touchdowns,

[00:49:31] blowing

[00:49:32] them out.

[00:49:32] All right,

[00:49:33] Jess,

[00:49:33] what do

[00:49:33] you got?

[00:49:34] I don't

[00:49:34] know if

[00:49:35] it's going

[00:49:35] to be

[00:49:35] by four

[00:49:36] touchdowns,

[00:49:36] but I

[00:49:37] think

[00:49:37] Indiana

[00:49:37] wins,

[00:49:38] and I

[00:49:38] think they

[00:49:38] win

[00:49:38] comfortably.

[00:49:39] Like

[00:49:40] John said,

[00:49:41] Michigan

[00:49:42] doesn't

[00:49:42] really have

[00:49:43] much of

[00:49:43] an

[00:49:43] offense,

[00:49:44] and even

[00:49:44] though

[00:49:44] this will

[00:49:45] be

[00:49:45] probably

[00:49:45] the

[00:49:46] best

[00:49:46] defense

[00:49:46] Indiana

[00:49:47] has

[00:49:47] faced,

[00:49:48] as I

[00:49:48] believe

[00:49:48] you

[00:49:48] mentioned

[00:49:49] earlier,

[00:49:49] Tony,

[00:49:50] I think

[00:49:51] Indiana

[00:49:51] will be

[00:49:52] able to

[00:49:52] get it

[00:49:52] done

[00:49:53] at home.

[00:49:54] I'm a

[00:49:55] bit betting

[00:49:56] on them

[00:49:56] all year,

[00:49:56] why I've

[00:49:57] stopped now.

[00:49:58] Give me

[00:49:58] Michigan to

[00:49:59] finally derail

[00:50:00] Indiana

[00:50:01] season right

[00:50:01] here.

[00:50:02] You're welcome,

[00:50:03] Indiana.

[00:50:03] Tony just

[00:50:05] gave you

[00:50:06] the win.

[00:50:07] It's like

[00:50:08] you keep

[00:50:08] going back

[00:50:09] to your

[00:50:09] toxic ex,

[00:50:10] Tony.

[00:50:11] Jesus.

[00:50:11] Listen,

[00:50:12] Michigan will

[00:50:12] win this game.

[00:50:13] They have to.

[00:50:14] They've got to

[00:50:14] figure it out.

[00:50:15] No quarterback

[00:50:16] on Michigan

[00:50:17] has more

[00:50:18] than a

[00:50:18] thousand

[00:50:19] passing

[00:50:19] yards.

[00:50:20] But hey,

[00:50:20] they looked

[00:50:21] decent

[00:50:21] against

[00:50:22] Oregon.

[00:50:22] No,

[00:50:23] they didn't.

[00:50:24] The game

[00:50:25] was close

[00:50:25] because there

[00:50:26] was a

[00:50:26] muffed

[00:50:27] punt

[00:50:27] that made

[00:50:28] it so

[00:50:28] they scored

[00:50:29] a touchdown.

[00:50:30] That's the

[00:50:30] only reason.

[00:50:32] If Tez

[00:50:33] Johnson

[00:50:33] didn't get

[00:50:33] hurt,

[00:50:34] that muffed

[00:50:34] punt

[00:50:34] wouldn't

[00:50:34] have

[00:50:34] happened.

[00:50:37] Hopefully

[00:50:37] the corner

[00:50:38] will

[00:50:38] come back

[00:50:40] for Michigan

[00:50:40] because they

[00:50:41] technically

[00:50:41] use him

[00:50:41] in this

[00:50:41] game.

[00:50:42] Next up,

[00:50:43] Colorado

[00:50:43] at Texas

[00:50:44] Tech.

[00:50:45] This is

[00:50:47] Iowa

[00:50:48] State.

[00:50:49] Now

[00:50:49] they're

[00:50:49] looking to

[00:50:49] do the

[00:50:50] same

[00:50:50] thing

[00:50:50] to

[00:50:50] Colorado.

[00:50:51] they get

[00:50:51] it done?

[00:50:51] Jordan,

[00:50:52] who you

[00:50:52] got?

[00:50:53] Colorado?

[00:50:54] No,

[00:50:54] I got

[00:50:54] Texas

[00:50:55] Tech.

[00:50:55] I think

[00:50:55] this

[00:50:56] one

[00:50:57] is going

[00:50:57] to be

[00:50:57] my

[00:50:57] upset.

[00:50:58] I

[00:50:58] think

[00:50:59] Texas

[00:50:59] Tech

[00:50:59] at home

[00:51:00] is scary.

[00:51:01] And if

[00:51:01] you can

[00:51:02] just

[00:51:02] stop

[00:51:02] the

[00:51:02] pass

[00:51:03] of

[00:51:03] Colorado,

[00:51:05] you

[00:51:05] got

[00:51:05] the

[00:51:05] game.

[00:51:07] I

[00:51:15] at

[00:51:16] home.

[00:51:17] Do you

[00:51:18] agree,

[00:51:18] Jess?

[00:51:21] Give me

[00:51:21] Colorado.

[00:51:23] I don't

[00:51:24] think any

[00:51:24] of us

[00:51:25] are that

[00:51:26] high on

[00:51:26] them,

[00:51:27] but I

[00:51:27] like how

[00:51:28] their

[00:51:28] defense has

[00:51:28] been

[00:51:29] playing.

[00:51:29] I

[00:51:30] think

[00:51:30] Shador

[00:51:30] is the

[00:51:31] second

[00:51:32] best

[00:51:32] quarterback

[00:51:33] in the

[00:51:33] country

[00:51:47] is able

[00:51:48] to get

[00:51:49] those

[00:51:49] completions.

[00:51:50] They're

[00:51:50] able to

[00:51:50] move the

[00:51:51] ball.

[00:51:51] I like

[00:51:52] what they've

[00:51:52] got there

[00:51:54] offensively and

[00:51:54] the fact that

[00:51:55] their defense has

[00:51:55] stepped up.

[00:51:56] Give me

[00:51:57] Colorado.

[00:51:57] I think

[00:51:58] they got

[00:51:58] some good

[00:51:59] stuff going

[00:51:59] on there.

[00:52:00] Hopefully

[00:52:00] it doesn't

[00:52:00] end in

[00:52:01] them making

[00:52:02] a bowl

[00:52:02] and then

[00:52:03] Deion

[00:52:03] leaving in

[00:52:04] the off

[00:52:05] season.

[00:52:05] Heard he's

[00:52:06] going with

[00:52:06] the Jets

[00:52:06] with

[00:52:07] a package

[00:52:08] deal.

[00:52:08] That's

[00:52:08] what I

[00:52:08] read.

[00:52:11] All

[00:52:11] right.

[00:52:12] After

[00:52:12] me

[00:52:12] on that

[00:52:13] one.

[00:52:13] All

[00:52:13] right.

[00:52:15] I can't

[00:52:16] reveal my

[00:52:16] sources,

[00:52:16] but that's

[00:52:17] what I'm

[00:52:17] hearing.

[00:52:20] For

[00:52:21] Jordan,

[00:52:21] they're

[00:52:22] averaging 80

[00:52:23] rushing yards

[00:52:24] a game.

[00:52:25] They don't

[00:52:25] have 1,000

[00:52:26] rushing yards

[00:52:26] total as

[00:52:27] a team.

[00:52:27] I just

[00:52:27] looked it

[00:52:27] up.

[00:52:28] They don't

[00:52:29] need it.

[00:52:29] They don't

[00:52:29] need it

[00:52:29] fast.

[00:52:30] I'll

[00:52:31] take

[00:52:31] Colorado

[00:52:31] in this

[00:52:31] one.

[00:52:32] I feel

[00:52:32] like Texas

[00:52:33] Tech has

[00:52:33] been up

[00:52:33] and down.

[00:52:34] I think

[00:52:35] they came

[00:52:35] up.

[00:52:35] They were

[00:52:36] coming off

[00:52:36] really high

[00:52:37] with a

[00:52:38] nice win

[00:52:38] for Iowa

[00:52:38] State.

[00:52:39] I think

[00:52:39] they'll

[00:52:39] come back

[00:52:39] down to

[00:52:39] earth a

[00:52:40] little bit

[00:52:40] this

[00:52:40] Colorado

[00:52:40] game.

[00:52:43] Alabama

[00:52:44] LSU,

[00:52:45] this is a

[00:52:45] playoff

[00:52:46] game.

[00:52:47] Winner

[00:52:47] is in,

[00:52:48] still has

[00:52:48] a shot,

[00:52:49] loser is

[00:52:49] out.

[00:52:51] With

[00:52:52] these type

[00:52:52] of games,

[00:52:53] I always

[00:52:53] bet against

[00:52:54] Brian Kelly.

[00:52:54] Give me

[00:52:55] Alabama in

[00:52:56] this one.

[00:52:56] Jess,

[00:52:57] who do you

[00:52:57] got?

[00:52:59] I think

[00:53:00] give me

[00:53:00] Alabama.

[00:53:01] I think

[00:53:02] they've got

[00:53:03] a lot of

[00:53:03] good pieces.

[00:53:04] LSU and

[00:53:05] Garrett

[00:53:06] Nussmeyer,

[00:53:07] well I

[00:53:07] like Garrett

[00:53:08] Nussmeyer

[00:53:08] as one of

[00:53:09] those day

[00:53:10] two

[00:53:10] quarterback

[00:53:10] guys.

[00:53:13] He can

[00:53:14] make a

[00:53:14] lot of

[00:53:15] throws,

[00:53:15] but he's

[00:53:15] got some

[00:53:16] decision

[00:53:16] making

[00:53:17] issues.

[00:53:18] I think

[00:53:19] if they're

[00:53:20] that young

[00:53:21] Alabama

[00:53:21] secondary,

[00:53:22] while susceptible,

[00:53:23] they are

[00:53:23] capable of

[00:53:24] making those

[00:53:25] big plays,

[00:53:26] getting those

[00:53:27] interceptions,

[00:53:29] kind of

[00:53:29] turning the

[00:53:29] tide.

[00:53:30] I think

[00:53:30] Alabama,

[00:53:31] in a close

[00:53:32] one,

[00:53:32] will beat

[00:53:33] LSU.

[00:53:34] All right,

[00:53:34] Jordan.

[00:53:35] What do

[00:53:35] you got?

[00:53:36] Yeah,

[00:53:36] Tony said

[00:53:37] it right.

[00:53:38] Brian Kelly

[00:53:39] cannot be

[00:53:39] trusted in

[00:53:40] big games.

[00:53:42] That's it.

[00:53:44] Alabama.

[00:53:46] Roll

[00:53:47] tie.

[00:53:48] Roll

[00:53:48] tie.

[00:53:50] Next up,

[00:53:51] Washington

[00:53:51] and Penn

[00:53:51] State.

[00:53:52] We talked

[00:53:52] a little

[00:53:52] about which

[00:53:53] Washington

[00:53:54] will be

[00:53:54] showing up.

[00:53:55] Will Penn

[00:53:55] State get

[00:53:56] their stuff

[00:53:56] off the

[00:53:57] ground?

[00:53:57] I think

[00:53:57] this is

[00:53:57] actually

[00:53:58] a

[00:53:58] white

[00:53:58] out

[00:53:58] game,

[00:53:59] if I

[00:53:59] recall.

[00:54:02] I don't

[00:54:02] know why

[00:54:02] they didn't

[00:54:03] have a

[00:54:03] white

[00:54:03] out

[00:54:03] game

[00:54:03] last

[00:54:03] week.

[00:54:05] I don't

[00:54:05] know why

[00:54:06] it was a

[00:54:06] noon

[00:54:06] kickoff.

[00:54:07] Probably

[00:54:07] because Fox

[00:54:08] wanted it.

[00:54:10] You've got to

[00:54:10] get that

[00:54:11] at night.

[00:54:11] You've got to

[00:54:12] always do

[00:54:12] that one

[00:54:12] at night.

[00:54:13] Who

[00:54:13] have you

[00:54:13] guys

[00:54:13] got?

[00:54:14] Penn

[00:54:14] State,

[00:54:14] Washington?

[00:54:15] Sorry,

[00:54:15] Jordan.

[00:54:17] I have

[00:54:17] Penn

[00:54:17] State.

[00:54:18] Being

[00:54:18] at home,

[00:54:19] kind of

[00:54:20] angry about

[00:54:20] the Ohio

[00:54:21] State loss.

[00:54:23] Washington's

[00:54:23] inconsistent.

[00:54:25] And just

[00:54:26] so you know,

[00:54:28] all because

[00:54:28] of Drew

[00:54:29] Aller.

[00:54:30] And that's

[00:54:30] all I've got

[00:54:30] to say.

[00:54:35] Give me Penn

[00:54:36] State.

[00:54:37] They're the

[00:54:37] better team.

[00:54:38] They're the

[00:54:38] more talented

[00:54:39] team.

[00:54:40] It's at

[00:54:40] home,

[00:54:40] especially if

[00:54:41] it is the

[00:54:41] wide out

[00:54:42] game,

[00:54:42] which I

[00:54:42] think you're

[00:54:43] right about,

[00:54:43] Tony.

[00:54:44] That stadium's

[00:54:45] going to be

[00:54:45] going nuclear.

[00:54:46] They're pissed.

[00:54:47] Give me Penn

[00:54:48] State.

[00:54:48] It's at

[00:54:48] 8 o'clock.

[00:54:50] Give me

[00:54:51] Washington.

[00:54:53] Oh,

[00:54:53] God.

[00:54:54] Penn

[00:54:55] State,

[00:54:55] I just feel

[00:54:56] they're going

[00:54:57] to be like

[00:54:58] let Ohio

[00:54:59] State beat

[00:54:59] them twice.

[00:55:00] Coming off

[00:55:01] this,

[00:55:01] they're just

[00:55:02] going to

[00:55:02] sleepwalk a

[00:55:03] little bit

[00:55:03] to start.

[00:55:04] Western will

[00:55:04] get a lead

[00:55:05] and they

[00:55:05] will hang

[00:55:05] on.

[00:55:06] That's my

[00:55:06] prediction.

[00:55:07] Washington

[00:55:07] will win

[00:55:07] this one.

[00:55:09] Sorry,

[00:55:09] Penn State.

[00:55:10] BYU

[00:55:11] Utah.

[00:55:11] You're choosing

[00:55:12] chaos in the

[00:55:13] Big Ten.

[00:55:13] Actually,

[00:55:14] it's not

[00:55:15] Tony,

[00:55:16] it's no

[00:55:16] sorry,

[00:55:16] Penn State.

[00:55:17] It's

[00:55:17] sorry,

[00:55:18] Washington.

[00:55:18] I feel like

[00:55:19] you're not

[00:55:20] hitting as

[00:55:20] much as

[00:55:21] you're

[00:55:21] missing.

[00:55:23] I'm

[00:55:23] hitting a lot

[00:55:24] quite a bit.

[00:55:24] Thank you

[00:55:25] very much,

[00:55:25] Jordan.

[00:55:26] Every hit

[00:55:27] you get is

[00:55:27] encountered by

[00:55:28] you picking

[00:55:29] Michigan or

[00:55:30] something.

[00:55:31] I'm sorry,

[00:55:31] I can't

[00:55:32] get off.

[00:55:33] I don't get

[00:55:33] off the

[00:55:34] picks I had

[00:55:34] at the beginning

[00:55:35] of the year

[00:55:35] just because

[00:55:35] they're not

[00:55:36] going.

[00:55:36] Yes,

[00:55:36] he does.

[00:55:37] Indiana.

[00:55:38] No,

[00:55:38] I don't.

[00:55:38] Listen to the

[00:55:39] podcast two

[00:55:40] years ago.

[00:55:41] Hey,

[00:55:41] look at Indiana

[00:55:42] now.

[00:55:42] I was seeing

[00:55:43] a vision and

[00:55:44] it finally came

[00:55:44] to fruition this

[00:55:45] year.

[00:55:46] Okay,

[00:55:47] the Holy War

[00:55:48] is next.

[00:55:48] BYU at

[00:55:49] Utah.

[00:55:50] So,

[00:55:51] who do you

[00:55:51] guys have

[00:55:52] in this

[00:55:52] one?

[00:55:53] Sorry,

[00:55:54] Jordan.

[00:55:54] Bring them

[00:55:55] young university,

[00:55:56] baby.

[00:55:57] Cougars.

[00:55:58] Jess.

[00:55:59] Did you just

[00:55:59] say,

[00:56:00] oh,

[00:56:00] okay,

[00:56:01] yeah,

[00:56:01] you did

[00:56:01] say that.

[00:56:04] What?

[00:56:04] What?

[00:56:05] I don't know

[00:56:06] what else

[00:56:06] to say.

[00:56:07] Utah doesn't

[00:56:08] have a

[00:56:08] quarterback.

[00:56:08] I don't

[00:56:09] know.

[00:56:09] Give me

[00:56:09] BYU.

[00:56:10] Give me

[00:56:11] BYU.

[00:56:12] Give me

[00:56:13] BYU.

[00:56:15] They don't,

[00:56:15] yeah.

[00:56:16] Did I

[00:56:16] baffle you

[00:56:17] with saying

[00:56:18] their full

[00:56:18] name?

[00:56:18] I think

[00:56:19] he baffles

[00:56:19] you.

[00:56:20] They said

[00:56:20] their full

[00:56:21] name?

[00:56:24] It's the

[00:56:25] way you

[00:56:25] said it.

[00:56:25] Young

[00:56:26] University.

[00:56:27] Cougars.

[00:56:27] Come on,

[00:56:27] man.

[00:56:31] This game

[00:56:32] is at

[00:56:32] 1015 at

[00:56:33] night.

[00:56:33] So,

[00:56:34] 815 local

[00:56:34] time at

[00:56:38] Utah.

[00:56:39] It's going

[00:56:40] to be a

[00:56:40] crazy crowd

[00:56:41] would pick

[00:56:42] another

[00:56:42] upset.

[00:56:44] No.

[00:56:45] If Cam

[00:56:45] Rising was

[00:56:45] playing?

[00:56:46] Yeah.

[00:56:47] If Cam

[00:56:47] Rising was

[00:56:47] playing,

[00:56:48] I'll pick

[00:56:48] BYU.

[00:56:48] I don't

[00:56:49] trust Utah

[00:56:49] this year.

[00:56:50] I just

[00:56:50] feel like

[00:56:51] I keep

[00:56:51] waiting for

[00:56:52] the Utah

[00:56:52] I'm used

[00:56:53] to seeing

[00:56:53] show up

[00:56:54] and they're

[00:56:54] just not.

[00:56:55] So,

[00:56:56] maybe

[00:56:56] a

[00:57:12] Miami.

[00:57:13] Miami.

[00:57:13] Until

[00:57:13] proven

[00:57:13] otherwise,

[00:57:14] I don't

[00:57:15] think they've

[00:57:16] got a

[00:57:16] loss on

[00:57:16] their

[00:57:17] schedule

[00:57:17] coming up.

[00:57:18] So,

[00:57:18] give me

[00:57:18] Miami.

[00:57:19] I wish

[00:57:19] I knew

[00:57:20] if Hank

[00:57:20] Kings was

[00:57:21] actually

[00:57:21] playing,

[00:57:22] because I

[00:57:22] feel like

[00:57:22] if he was,

[00:57:23] they would

[00:57:23] win this

[00:57:24] game.

[00:57:24] I just

[00:57:25] don't know

[00:57:25] if he is.

[00:57:25] If Hank

[00:57:26] Kings plays,

[00:57:27] I'll take

[00:57:27] Georgia Tech.

[00:57:28] If he does

[00:57:28] it, I'll

[00:57:29] take Miami.

[00:57:30] That's cheating.

[00:57:31] Pick one

[00:57:31] right now.

[00:57:32] I can't.

[00:57:33] Sorry.

[00:57:34] Florida,

[00:57:34] Texas.

[00:57:36] Florida's playing

[00:57:36] picks are

[00:57:37] going well.

[00:57:38] You just

[00:57:38] pick both.

[00:57:39] That's how

[00:57:40] you do it.

[00:57:40] Can't

[00:57:41] lose if

[00:57:41] you're on

[00:57:41] the winning

[00:57:42] side.

[00:57:43] I picked

[00:57:44] the quarterback

[00:57:45] playing.

[00:57:45] That's pretty

[00:57:45] big.

[00:57:47] It's not

[00:57:48] nothing,

[00:57:48] but it is

[00:57:49] kind of

[00:57:50] funny coming

[00:57:50] off of our

[00:57:51] previous

[00:57:52] conversation.

[00:57:53] Florida,

[00:57:54] Texas,

[00:57:55] guys.

[00:57:55] Jess,

[00:57:56] who do

[00:57:56] you got?

[00:57:57] Texas.

[00:57:58] It also

[00:57:59] doesn't help

[00:57:59] that Florida

[00:58:00] is on to

[00:58:01] its third

[00:58:02] string quarterback,

[00:58:03] but yeah,

[00:58:03] give me

[00:58:03] Texas.

[00:58:05] Yeah.

[00:58:07] All right,

[00:58:07] Jordan.

[00:58:08] Yep,

[00:58:09] I got Texas.

[00:58:09] If DJ

[00:58:10] Lagway was

[00:58:11] playing,

[00:58:11] I could

[00:58:11] see myself

[00:58:12] choosing

[00:58:13] Florida,

[00:58:13] but I

[00:58:14] have Texas.

[00:58:15] Okay,

[00:58:16] Maryland and

[00:58:16] Oregon.

[00:58:19] Jordan.

[00:58:20] I got

[00:58:21] Oregon.

[00:58:22] They're winning

[00:58:22] the national

[00:58:22] championship.

[00:58:25] Just get it

[00:58:25] in your head

[00:58:26] right now.

[00:58:28] Oregon.

[00:58:30] Go Ducks,

[00:58:31] I guess.

[00:58:32] Yeah,

[00:58:32] Oregon's

[00:58:33] winning this

[00:58:33] one.

[00:58:34] They've

[00:58:34] looked like

[00:58:36] the

[00:58:36] theoretically

[00:58:37] most

[00:58:38] complete

[00:58:38] team

[00:58:38] this

[00:58:39] year.

[00:58:39] I don't

[00:58:39] like

[00:58:40] they had

[00:58:40] some

[00:58:40] early

[00:58:41] struggles,

[00:58:42] but they've

[00:58:42] just seemingly

[00:58:43] gotten better

[00:58:44] each week.

[00:58:45] They figured

[00:58:45] out the

[00:58:46] offensive line.

[00:58:47] Right now,

[00:58:48] Oregon looks

[00:58:48] like the

[00:58:49] best team

[00:58:49] in the

[00:58:49] country.

[00:58:50] Oregon's

[00:58:51] not losing

[00:58:51] this one.

[00:58:52] I agree.

[00:58:53] Give me

[00:58:53] Oregon in

[00:58:54] this one.

[00:58:55] Florida State

[00:58:56] and Notre Dame.

[00:58:57] I'll be

[00:58:57] there this

[00:58:58] weekend watching

[00:58:59] my blood

[00:59:00] Irish and

[00:59:00] very cold

[00:59:01] weather while

[00:59:01] I'm sick.

[00:59:02] So they

[00:59:02] better win

[00:59:02] this game.

[00:59:03] So I

[00:59:03] am picking

[00:59:04] Notre Dame.

[00:59:05] Jordan,

[00:59:05] do you

[00:59:05] agree?

[00:59:06] Yes,

[00:59:07] I'll keep

[00:59:07] it short

[00:59:07] and sweet

[00:59:07] Notre Dame.

[00:59:08] Boom.

[00:59:09] Good,

[00:59:10] Jess.

[00:59:11] Yeah,

[00:59:11] I don't

[00:59:12] know why

[00:59:12] you included

[00:59:13] this one

[00:59:13] other than

[00:59:14] to make

[00:59:14] it's an

[00:59:14] upset.

[00:59:15] All these

[00:59:16] are upsets.

[00:59:17] Okay,

[00:59:17] so why

[00:59:18] include Texas

[00:59:19] or Florida?

[00:59:20] Because it

[00:59:21] could happen.

[00:59:21] Hey,

[00:59:22] DJ plays

[00:59:22] well against

[00:59:24] Notre Dame.

[00:59:25] It's

[00:59:26] statistics.

[00:59:27] I don't

[00:59:27] think he's

[00:59:27] playing this

[00:59:27] game now.

[00:59:29] But either

[00:59:30] way,

[00:59:30] Notre Dame.

[00:59:32] Okay.

[00:59:32] And in

[00:59:33] the final

[00:59:33] game,

[00:59:34] Nevada at

[00:59:34] Boise State.

[00:59:35] Will Nevada

[00:59:35] be able to

[00:59:36] pull the

[00:59:36] upset off

[00:59:36] of Boise

[00:59:37] State?

[00:59:37] Jess?

[00:59:39] No,

[00:59:40] I think

[00:59:40] Ashton

[00:59:41] Giante is

[00:59:41] going to

[00:59:41] continue being

[00:59:42] an absolute

[00:59:43] monster,

[00:59:43] get another

[00:59:46] 180 yards,

[00:59:47] two,

[00:59:47] three touchdowns.

[00:59:49] The dude's

[00:59:50] just,

[00:59:50] he's the

[00:59:51] best college

[00:59:52] running back

[00:59:52] I've seen

[00:59:53] that I can

[00:59:54] even really

[00:59:55] remember.

[00:59:56] I mean,

[00:59:56] I saw a bit

[00:59:57] of Reggie

[00:59:57] Bush,

[00:59:58] a bit of

[00:59:58] Ray Rice

[00:59:59] back in the

[00:59:59] day,

[01:00:00] but I

[01:00:01] was like

[01:00:02] four or

[01:00:03] five years

[01:00:03] old during

[01:00:04] that.

[01:00:05] In my

[01:00:06] adult life,

[01:00:07] I haven't

[01:00:07] seen anybody

[01:00:08] like

[01:00:08] Giante.

[01:00:10] Pretty good.

[01:00:11] I say Reggie

[01:00:11] Bush is still

[01:00:12] better in

[01:00:12] college,

[01:00:13] but yeah,

[01:00:13] definitely

[01:00:13] good.

[01:00:14] For highlight

[01:00:14] plays,

[01:00:15] I think he

[01:00:15] might be

[01:00:15] better all

[01:00:16] around back,

[01:00:16] but I

[01:00:17] think for

[01:00:17] highlight

[01:00:17] plays,

[01:00:18] Reggie

[01:00:18] Bush is

[01:00:18] better.

[01:00:19] Fair enough.

[01:00:20] Jordan?

[01:00:21] Yeah,

[01:00:21] I got

[01:00:21] Boise State.

[01:00:22] I don't

[01:00:23] think Nevada

[01:00:23] is,

[01:00:24] it's at

[01:00:25] home for

[01:00:25] Boise State.

[01:00:25] I don't

[01:00:26] think Nevada

[01:00:26] is good.

[01:00:26] That blue

[01:00:27] turf

[01:00:27] creeps me

[01:00:28] out.

[01:00:29] You can't

[01:00:29] go on

[01:00:29] blue turf

[01:00:30] for win.

[01:00:31] I got

[01:00:32] Boise State

[01:00:33] in that

[01:00:33] one as

[01:00:33] well,

[01:00:33] so no

[01:00:34] upset

[01:00:34] picks for

[01:00:35] me there.

[01:00:36] All right,

[01:00:36] guys,

[01:00:36] that wraps

[01:00:37] us up

[01:00:37] for this

[01:00:37] week.

[01:00:38] Like I

[01:00:38] said,

[01:00:38] we're

[01:00:38] looking

[01:00:39] forward

[01:00:39] to

[01:00:39] the

[01:00:40] quarter

[01:00:40] right now

[01:00:41] is at

[01:00:41] 6.30,

[01:00:41] so about

[01:00:42] 30 minutes,

[01:00:42] which means

[01:00:43] it's probably

[01:00:43] taking over

[01:00:44] two hours

[01:00:44] before we

[01:00:45] know the

[01:00:45] full playoff

[01:00:47] predictions.

[01:00:47] They like

[01:00:48] to drag out

[01:00:48] that show.

[01:00:50] We'll see

[01:00:50] who they

[01:00:51] pick,

[01:00:51] and I'm

[01:00:52] looking forward

[01:00:52] to any

[01:00:53] craziness

[01:00:53] that happens

[01:00:54] there.

[01:00:54] We'll talk

[01:00:54] about it

[01:00:55] tomorrow.

[01:00:55] Until then,

[01:00:56] we'll talk

[01:00:56] to you soon,

[01:00:57] guys.

[01:00:57] Bye.
