[00:00:27] Hello, good everybody! Welcome back to the latest episode in the Flat Podcast. I'm your host Tony Kill,

[00:00:33] join us always with my co-host, Justin Jordan. So guys a little later, to normal this week, but we're ready to get into it.

[00:00:39] We'll talk a little bit about some of the crazy news that are out there this week.

[00:00:42] We'll talk a little bit looking back on on week 4 games, pre-be week 5, have a cool little blind

[00:00:48] raking at the end, have some wrap to fire and between based on some questions we've seen online.

[00:00:52] Well that's what's going to kick this off when far top news of the week posts the games from the weekend.

[00:00:56] Obviously it's Wednesday and the top news of the day everybody's been talking about his Matt Sluka.

[00:01:01] I guess it's a pretty nice name. Like UNLV decided to leave the program, the quarterback there,

[00:01:06] I'll leave the program due to NIL dispute. This comes a little shock for UNLV probably because they're undefeated.

[00:01:12] They be Kansas, I think they be Houston. Everybody's canceling them into the number 12 spot in the playoffs.

[00:01:18] They left. Basically he's leaving because they were promised 100,000 dollars from a assisted coach.

[00:01:23] Yeah, head coach Barry Odom said that he never promised them anything. He can't validate it.

[00:01:27] And I'll come down to I think office coordinator Brendan Marion is the one that promised him.

[00:01:32] And I guess they did a good fulfill the school saying they never promised anything.

[00:01:36] So it seems like you don't know exactly what's happening there but later on today,

[00:01:41] I secondly player is also returning in Levy and that is running back Michael Allen.

[00:01:45] We're seeing very similar things about NIL not being as promised.

[00:01:49] So you want to wonder is this assisted coach over promising to get recruits in?

[00:01:54] Is the school making this up and they're not able to make the NIL payment?

[00:01:58] Are the players making it up because now that they're doing well, people are starting to recruit them?

[00:02:03] I think there's some rumors up there as well that the quarterback,

[00:02:05] Yes Luca has been in the office from over schools of transfer.

[00:02:09] So is he taking an opportunity to make some money and go to those schools?

[00:02:12] This is last year eligibility came from a small school before hands.

[00:02:15] Yeah, yeah, quite know what's happened to here but the good he got spots on this one.

[00:02:19] We'll start you just what are your spots on this weird NIL situation and this new look of callable?

[00:02:26] It's tough to say really.

[00:02:29] I figured something like this would happen sooner rather than later.

[00:02:34] Some people have discussed and we've discussed this that L is going to even out the playing field

[00:02:41] because now everybody can just openly pay players but at the end of the day we discuss this a bit

[00:02:48] when we were talking about Alabama heading into the season.

[00:02:51] How are some teams just have access to a lot more NIL money than others?

[00:02:57] UNLV doesn't have access to as much as in Oklahoma or Texas or Miami or wherever you want to say.

[00:03:05] So teams are going to end up making promises that they can't keep.

[00:03:10] I don't know how much I believe that no one really knew about this and it was just an assisting coach.

[00:03:16] It's like the Michigan situation with the filming everybody's going to say they had no clue

[00:03:22] who really knows outside of the people involved.

[00:03:26] But I think it really sucks there's going to be a lot of people who probably or I believe should play it out anyways

[00:03:31] but at the end of the day they were made a promise and you keep loyalty to your teammates or to the program

[00:03:40] they made you now what appears to be false promises. I think it just sucks for everybody involved and

[00:03:47] hopefully these guys can find something in the transport portal right now they're flying high so maybe

[00:03:52] that on crease they're stuck. Jordan and Closio Fauts here in UNLV issue.

[00:03:57] No I think it's just, and I also is going to be hard for these schools small schools

[00:04:03] group of five schools to bring in these players and promise this money but then

[00:04:07] are they going to have the money kind of thing. So I think it's going to be a lot of

[00:04:12] this going forward until some structure, more structure is put into place. In NL I think we're

[00:04:19] still in that early stages where we don't really have that structure to make it so that okay

[00:04:24] yeah they offered you this but now of power four schools sees that you're playing well and

[00:04:29] they need the quarterback and they're going to be like hey we can offer you more money.

[00:04:33] Give me the money okay we'll give you that and things like that I just think where we are right

[00:04:39] now in NL is just weird but it sucks for UNLV because they you know their favorites

[00:04:46] a denial after going for or three in L is it three in L yeah three in L and being

[00:04:52] team that might be that 12 seed. Sad to see you in NLV I think they're going to dip down

[00:04:57] just because now the backups in yeah. You know one thing though I just look at the stats

[00:05:01] might match look it was like killing the world with his stats and play. I think you

[00:05:06] some of the players will come out so they're okay to move forward. I would do wonder how

[00:05:11] that with the runny back quarterback. Anybody else is going to affect I just hate that

[00:05:15] NLV is ruined. I don't know if it's ruining college football but it's changing what we're

[00:05:19] used to and it is coming more like NFL boots and things like that which you never had to worry about

[00:05:24] before but this is a new world with the libelift so hopefully everybody works us out and these

[00:05:29] still has a good season. Matt's look has a good career wherever he goes and this is not an issue

[00:05:33] for anybody but hope it has come off the rails and he doesn't get a really good opportunity to

[00:05:37] fails a season and this whole thing was blown up by NLV. Sorry to cut you off their donny

[00:05:43] but I think this is just speaking to a larger change in the culture of football as a whole.

[00:05:48] Look at a lot of what's happening at the youth levels now. Kids are getting recruited for high

[00:05:53] school they have all these different personal trainers it's becoming a lot more like the youth

[00:05:58] basketball scene where it's essentially becoming this paid-up-play culture where you got to be

[00:06:05] able to afford top trainers. You got to be able to afford to go to the private schools or the best

[00:06:10] schools and I think the whole notion of kind of it used to be you know I'm talking about this I'm

[00:06:21] 25 years old I'm not some old timer who really remembers back in my day when we watched the

[00:06:29] girl fashion 1987 Nebraska team something like that but it used to be that it was a lot more

[00:06:38] I don't want to because this one amount of the say songs like I'm throwing the kids under the bus

[00:06:44] the players under the bus was a lot more loyalty stick it out Derek Henry was like a second

[00:06:51] third string running back for Alabama despite being arguably the greatest high school running back

[00:06:56] ever but he didn't just transfer at the first the first sack the first time something didn't go as

[00:07:04] when he wasn't immediately guaranteed playtime I think there's just now this expectation for

[00:07:10] these players that they're gonna go they're gonna get their money they're gonna start if things don't

[00:07:14] go the way they transfer get paid by someone else you know and I just what NIL is doing and I think

[00:07:21] it's really starting at the youth level with everything from the travel teams to the

[00:07:27] moving around high school programs that used to just be a thing with IMG going on recruiting

[00:07:32] I just it feels like the whole culture of football is shifted no for sure I think given in all

[00:07:41] sports we go to a really deep dive and how there's no loyalty everybody just hops around to the

[00:07:47] next opportunity and growing up as someone I watched the 90th or Dame team thanks for making me feel

[00:07:54] it's a shame that this is where we come to but this is new when we have to get you to change

[00:07:58] this hard and I'm interested in the next few years look like once I always was a better structure

[00:08:03] in place for all this stuff right now there's no structure so we just nearly willy with what they do

[00:08:08] I hope that I guess it's hoping a lot to NCA will get a hold of this but I don't think they will but

[00:08:13] hopefully some governing body will come in and put some nice protocols and process in place here

[00:08:18] which is why I think they mean all right what's up on NIL yeah exactly only for Oregon mainly

[00:08:26] all right what's moving to mountain west and packed two drama packed I guess 12 or two

[00:08:31] whatever they're called now follow the lawsuit federal court on Tuesday really challenging a

[00:08:36] legality of a poaching penalty that was included in their football schedule in agreement

[00:08:41] with the mountain west conference in December so obviously Oregon State and Washington State

[00:08:45] were scrambling to fill out a schedule and they made a agreement with the mountain west to have

[00:08:50] those opponents to build out a good enough schedule for this year and part of that agreement

[00:08:55] accluded at it they were to pouch any mountain west teams they would be a $10 million penalty for

[00:09:01] the first school and $500,000 after that and so obviously news came out I think last week

[00:09:06] this week about some teams leaving a mountain west going to to pack two or 12 and that's Boise State

[00:09:12] Colorado State for the state in San Diego State but then this yesterday Utah State also jumped

[00:09:17] at the chance and there's this fluid drama there and then UNLV is originally said no to the

[00:09:23] 12 and now to re-engage in conversations to join as well potentially well it's a lot of weirdness

[00:09:29] going on between these two conferences I actually feel bad for the mountain west here they

[00:09:32] throw a lifeline out to these back two teams and out are getting poaching I think they should get

[00:09:37] the money that they're they're team sign for I don't see how you can battle out a court but

[00:09:41] Jordan what he he thoughts here on the on his drama between the two I think it's just weird that

[00:09:47] the pack 12 is still trying to I think they should have those two sort of went into the mountain west

[00:09:52] why didn't it merge I don't understand why this is in merge we're having this is happening

[00:09:57] poaching just merge with that conference mountain west merge with the pack two or pack 12 and

[00:10:02] make the pack 12 again and this whole or deal goes away all the teams coming to the pack 12 you

[00:10:08] guys are right next to each other anyway it's just and then what they're doing is trying to like

[00:10:14] poach teams from like Florida and ever it just doesn't make sense I mean you don't have a lot of money

[00:10:18] as a conference keep the mountain west in the packed you'll together right there in that area

[00:10:24] it helps to travel it helps you play like mine to teams you can build that conference back up

[00:10:28] I just it doesn't make sense what the pack 12 is doing yeah what do you think Jess?

[00:10:34] I don't know we've talked about a bit about this before but it felt like essentially prior to

[00:10:42] the 2010s the con I think all the conferences were pretty well set yet the big 12 which was

[00:10:48] south-centraled big 10 the north-centraled southeast SCC the southeast packed 12 was the west I just

[00:10:57] I don't know all the conferences and I think the pack 12's kind of just trying to force the

[00:11:03] issue to stay alive at this point yeah yeah do what they can we'll keep monitoring this give updates but

[00:11:10] well I think eventually a lot of these teams are going to end up leaving it go to the packed 12

[00:11:14] I don't know I think what I read also is they're not going to be considered a power five still

[00:11:19] there'll be a group of five conference but I think it's a start that started building you

[00:11:24] for yourself back up to be a power five team so we'll see what happens with this going forward

[00:11:29] all right let's move ahead to look back on the summit a week four match ups

[00:11:34] to happen but we can I was saying it was some surprises there were some upsets

[00:11:39] there's some teams in press teams disappointed we'll talk about all that today so

[00:11:44] I'm gonna go really quickly here on some of the games that happened last week and then you guys

[00:11:48] jump in we're gonna tell me who you think who shocked you who disappoint you and who pressed you

[00:11:53] over the weekend so first start USC you miss again obviously Michigan had a last second

[00:11:59] running touchdown where they animal B to USC 27 24 I know just has to be hard working

[00:12:06] for this loss but Michigan what in this gift row 20 37 yards in this game or something

[00:12:13] I care if it was that coming out but they basically did it they ran like 37 to 40 times and didn't

[00:12:19] really pass it all Miller Moss for USC had a decent game 280 for yards but did throw a touchdown

[00:12:25] I would say that defense of Michigan really look good like you would expect him to here and I

[00:12:30] think USC got a taste of what the big tens gonna look like for sure Michigan through for 32 yards

[00:12:36] 11 12 there you go so yeah good victory there by Michigan this like I said it

[00:12:42] beginning the year now they're gonna keep doing this I don't know all right Tennessee you know Oklahoma

[00:12:46] Tennessee coach Josh Hoppill won his return Oklahoma the same school he quarterback

[00:12:51] to a national championship of 2000 and fired him as an offensive coordinator in 2014

[00:12:57] Corbag Nico passed for only 194 yards but I don't think they're really asking to do too much in this game

[00:13:02] and then a six-rate falls you know beat Oklahoma 25 15 Michael Hawkins came in for Jackson Arnold

[00:13:09] we'll talk a little bit but that later he passed for 132 yards in relief but was not able to

[00:13:15] make the comeback for them be while you can't as a state this was ugly game be while you use defense

[00:13:20] sports three turnovers they're quarterback for 149 yards Jake reds laugh and two touchdowns

[00:13:27] Parker Kingston if you haven't seen it check it out online he had a high-let real 90 yard

[00:13:31] put return for touchdown they beat Kansas State 38 to nine every John says still continues that

[00:13:36] the look good in these performances Missouri Vanderbilt this was I don't think any best

[00:13:42] thought this was gonna be a close game but it was Vanderbilt should have won this game they'll

[00:13:45] let it for a lot of it and him is already caught up and then it was kind of back and forth double

[00:13:49] overtime game where Missouri hit a field goal that Vanderbilt did not and they won 30 to 27

[00:13:54] a Utah at Oklahoma State Mitch Bernard rush for 180 yards and then they had Isaac Wilson

[00:14:02] the freshman for Utah because Cameras had to have a little late scratch three for 27 yards of

[00:14:07] touchdown ran for 41 yards they look pretty good Oklahoma State try to make a comeback I will say

[00:14:12] Allen Bowman is only 8 for 22 for eight nine yards in first half finish 26 yards overall because they

[00:14:18] benched them and he brought him back in to try to make the comeback Illinois Nebraska look

[00:14:23] all my look really good in this game four touchdowns and he helped lead Illinois

[00:14:27] helped lead Illinois 34 over Nebraska and finally North Carolina State Clemson

[00:14:34] Kate Club Nick really I say has turned on since the Georgia game I think he maybe

[00:14:39] started around in the form what he saw in high school a bit me through for free touchdowns

[00:14:43] added a 55 yard running touchdown in Clemson's 35 59 to 35 win over North Carolina State

[00:14:49] North Carolina State's falling off a bit here they had to start a true freshman C. J. Bailey

[00:14:53] and Dan a decent game but it wasn't great it gets that Clemson defense so that being said

[00:14:57] I will start with you Jess here tell me who shocked you who disappointed him and who impressed you over

[00:15:02] the weekend what shocked me was Illinois over Nebraska if you had told me going in that Dylan

[00:15:14] if Riolla would throw for about 300 yards three touchdowns and only have the one pick

[00:15:21] yeah I would have thought Nebraska ran away with it who disappointed me U.S.C getting ran on for

[00:15:29] 290 yards is pretty disappointing especially when on top of that you think it's back though

[00:15:36] yeah what can you say yeah all the best I think an interesting thing to come out of that game

[00:15:44] is Donovan Edwards even in Michigan's clear best offensive performance so far this year

[00:15:52] he wasn't even there lead running back he got 14 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown sounds

[00:15:59] really good you're gonna take that but Colelle Mullings had 17 carries for 159 yards in

[00:16:07] two touchdowns I don't know what happened to Donovan Edwards if you so good in the last couple

[00:16:12] years but I think because the offense of Lovis so good it made the holes very easy enough

[00:16:15] from the run through where Mullins you really had a fight for those yards if you watched a game

[00:16:19] I mean he had a fight in hall to get the yards he got and break tackles and I fight it really well

[00:16:26] and who impressed me honestly it was Vanderbilt I mean despite the fact that they lost

[00:16:33] they put up a fight it took Missouri double overtime to win and look Vanderbilt

[00:16:42] pretty they're not gonna be competing but they've shown a lot more fight this year than I think

[00:16:47] a lot of people were anticipating that that was that they impressed me there yeah for sure

[00:16:53] I enjoyed it who shocked me I just appointed you who impressed you

[00:16:56] all right who shocked me is Vanderbilt yeah they lost with just that was a lot closer than

[00:17:02] it should have Missouri should have when then there and held their own and beat this team because

[00:17:07] Vanderbilt's the bottom half of the SEC but yeah but Missouri is a huge question mark for

[00:17:14] right now that offense does not seem like they can put up the point say you think they would

[00:17:20] argue late the number one receiver coming into the season disappointed Missouri I think the

[00:17:26] Brasca I think this game being at home for Nebraska I think you would think they would come out

[00:17:33] and beat this Illinois team but Dylan Raleh just couldn't hold this offense and carry this defense

[00:17:40] over the hump of Illinois and it looks like Illinois is catching steam right now and looking

[00:17:46] like a force in the big 10 and then who impressed bYU I don't know how they come out and

[00:17:55] basically blow the doors off Kansas State didn't lead in anything but 10 yards more in passing

[00:18:01] couldn't do anything offensively but their special teams and defense played really well

[00:18:07] and I think Kansas State a regentson is not that guy like I'm pretty thought he would be

[00:18:13] a ranoff will Howard for it's weird they ran off a little Howard and then Oklahoma ran off

[00:18:18] Dylan Gairroke because they both had quarterbacks of the future they wanted to get to and that is

[00:18:23] starting to look like bad decisions from the proteins at the moment all right for me who shocked

[00:18:28] me I guess was Michigan I just didn't see this performance and if I know the defense would play well

[00:18:32] I just did it think they would honestly I didn't think I thought Michigan would stack the box

[00:18:37] to make them have the throw to win and they didn't and they would have built it could have stopped

[00:18:41] the run and so it shocked me that Michigan was able to come in and it went as tough

[00:18:45] of the context as USC I don't know what the rest of the season holds for Michigan I'm worried

[00:18:49] about their quarterback position not to live for oh but this is what they did with J a lot of

[00:18:53] times last year and the year before we're they to ask them to do a lot but they need to get more

[00:18:57] than 32 yards passing on the wins to put ball games so let's start becoming maybe they need to

[00:19:06] get enough the lay off their running game so that's a shock me who disappoint me Kansas State

[00:19:11] I just not surprised they lost the BYU I'm surprised the only score 9 points a loss of 38 to 9

[00:19:17] they did a look good on offense they looked good on defense they looked good on special teams

[00:19:21] I just Kansas State was one of the trendy picks the win the big 12 and go to potentially go

[00:19:26] to play off this year and they just they don't look that good at all they don't have to turn things

[00:19:31] around a lot here trying to make the playoffs I just don't see it happening I didn't who

[00:19:36] pressed me for me as Utah I continue to be pressed by Utah at the beginning of the year I picked

[00:19:41] them as I'm not picking them or for a four seed and to play off and nothing they've done has

[00:19:45] changed my mind on what are going to end up their rushing attack always good even with cameraizing

[00:19:50] out they have an actual backup that actually can pass and run and I say Wilson so I think one

[00:19:56] two punch a quarterback is good the defense is always going to be great and I dislike what they

[00:20:00] did it gets Oklahoma State I don't see anybody they big 12 anything happened to give them

[00:20:06] right now I really we're seeing them running the table here in the big 12 going the feet it

[00:20:10] getting the top two or three pick in the playoffs season the playoffs so that's who the press

[00:20:15] need most there all right well it's moving to little rapid fire here what's talk about some things

[00:20:20] based on the performances of last weekend and the weeks prior start with Tennessee I think we are

[00:20:25] all were pressed with Tennessee I think Tennessee showed a lot of things that they could blow out opponent

[00:20:29] scored a lot of points didn't go to Oklahoma and grind one out and add their defense win and

[00:20:34] do just enough and offense to get the victory I even feel like they took their foot off a

[00:20:38] gas in this game it's Oklahoma so my guess my question for you is I think we all thought

[00:20:43] Tennessee could be pretty good they look really good so far this year can Tennessee

[00:20:48] win at all did they have the pieces did they have the right stuff to win at all will start with

[00:20:52] you Jordan what do you say I think they do but as of right now I think they do we won't know

[00:20:58] until the 19th of next month if they can compute with Alabama and the likes of those teams but

[00:21:04] their offense looks good their defense can control games also a lot of the plays Nico looks good

[00:21:11] the biggest question mark he's young the biggest worry I have when you go to I think they play

[00:21:15] Alabama this year that's the biggest rest my question mark I could see them winning it all I'm not

[00:21:21] a home center I don't know the play I love but yeah I can see Tennessee win it all I'm not sure

[00:21:26] it's because like I'm he did pretty well I consider and he's against a brand of dinner bulls defense

[00:21:31] I don't he for a lot of different looks at him and so I was really surprised about how

[00:21:34] how he was supposed to mean he didn't do a lot he just had to make mistakes I figured out some

[00:21:38] big spakes Tennessee just what was it how to see his home against Bama and then at Georgia

[00:21:46] okay those would be interesting games if you're trying to see you just split those you can

[00:21:50] just split those games when the rest you're in a playoff we'll see if they could do it but they do

[00:21:55] go from week six against Arkansas to week seven yeah it's Florida but Florida is always

[00:22:01] somehow hard to play and then they play Alabama at home yeah not so we tell stretch

[00:22:07] our case all you've been looking pretty good that's not going to be easy give me game

[00:22:11] me just you greedy you think they have to stop the win it all I don't think so I think

[00:22:18] Nico's a bit too young how many he's not a true freshman he's a retro freshman and this is first

[00:22:23] year really getting a significant playing time the only guy that I can think of that came in as

[00:22:32] this new newbie to college football and dominated in one at all his Trevor Lawrence

[00:22:39] but they've got a really good roster I just don't know if I would trust Nico with his

[00:22:45] you see this he sees it like a jamist with some type thing if your number he was a

[00:22:50] retro freshman for Florida State and came in and that was the spark they needed to go and

[00:22:57] when the title maybe if we step in similar here I mean that team was also really good that year

[00:23:03] but also that was pretty playoff he didn't have to go through multiple rounds that's good

[00:23:11] just had a win the one game and you could make an argument that's actually even higher pressure

[00:23:16] you're not gonna have any it's single game playoff elimination so I don't know I don't

[00:23:22] know if I truly consider them in that too though I think I'm gonna go with now I think the with

[00:23:27] the going to NC State and blowing the doors off him and then going to normal Oklahoma night game

[00:23:35] and beating this team I think I think he's there I think after I think he's that point right

[00:23:44] I think he's gonna be good enough to carry this team because he did that already

[00:23:50] I'm not sure all right I think they can't win it all I think it's gonna be tough too

[00:23:54] I think if it was a one game win at all type of championship or they can get there I think that'd be different

[00:23:59] but yeah I don't know to get past Georgia Ole Miss and Alabama all in the same year it's gonna be tough I

[00:24:05] feel like maybe not this year but I could definitely see a future year that Nico gets more

[00:24:09] experience to keep with the office on his back a little more I could definitely see them win it all

[00:24:14] All right keep it on the quarterback front here what's talk about Oklahoma bit the ever and of that matchup

[00:24:19] is Oklahoma making the right decision to bench Jackson Arnold and go with true freshman Michael Hawkins now

[00:24:24] as I mentioned earlier they actually sent Dylan Gabriel away they had opportunity to keep them but

[00:24:29] they said they wanted to go with Jackson Arnold the he was number I think not number one it was like number two

[00:24:34] quarterback in his recruiting class he was five star he was the future and he this has looked poor

[00:24:41] so they're gonna bet you're gonna go with his true freshman Michael Hawkins you agree with the decision

[00:24:45] or making it's over you just yeah I think Oklahoma I think they know that this year this first year

[00:24:54] in the SEC it isn't gonna be there year it clearly wasn't working and so they got this true

[00:25:00] freshman and I think they just want to see what they have with them can he provide a spark can he

[00:25:07] show something that tells them okay we've got something to build around to work with here in the

[00:25:15] future or is our QB room just screwed it's not any good we're gonna need to hit the transfer

[00:25:22] forward over going after really emphasize that and recruiting just to keep up with the SEC so I think

[00:25:29] this is the right move all right Gordon he's great no I 100% agree I think Jackson Arnold hasn't shown

[00:25:38] his ability he makes dumb plays he shows glimpses of greatness but you're in the SEC right now

[00:25:45] big 12 yeah you show glimpses early in the season and you build on that you have a better chance

[00:25:52] SEC you have no time I think it's a good thing to put him in I think this Tennessee Oklahoma

[00:25:57] game would have been closer if he started I think he played really well at the end of this game

[00:26:02] to keep it a little closer than it should have been if Jackson Arnold played so I think is a huge

[00:26:08] step up and I think it's a smart decision get this guy ready for the next coming years that

[00:26:14] Oklahoma could be in the top yeah it's interesting it's interesting pick they did here I really like

[00:26:19] Jackson Arnold coming out of high school I really thought he was gonna be one of the next big things

[00:26:23] and so I'm sad to see him go down this route I do wonder how was his quarterback coaching

[00:26:31] for Oklahoma I is it gonna hurt Michael Hawkins as well yeah Michael I could come in look good

[00:26:37] and back up we're not on any tape on him how's he gonna look in the weeks to come

[00:26:41] I just feel like there were two quick the bench of I had to me what is this game what two or

[00:26:46] three of him starting his career and you're I just feel like they need to get him better for coaching

[00:26:51] and development because they probably gonna lose him now he's a transfer you better hope Michael

[00:26:55] Hawkins is as good as they say and he was a three four star quarterback he'll have some good

[00:27:01] upside but I don't think he has as much arm talent as Jackson Arnold but maybe I'm wrong here

[00:27:06] but I don't know if this is going to be good as they should maybe get a decision next couple games

[00:27:09] but in a long run this is not sure if this is it yeah but we'll see they throw they make the big money to

[00:27:15] the the the big maybe scoreback decisions next up what's up about Michigan

[00:27:21] can Michigan keep winning in the big ten without a passing game so Jordan you're there in

[00:27:26] Michigan tell us can I keep doing it now I think the big ten conference in a hole is a really

[00:27:33] good stopping to run defenses they still have Illinois to play at Illinois they have Oregon still

[00:27:40] they have Indiana Ohio State I just don't think if you can't pass the ball

[00:27:46] or even Ohio State they're gonna put up numbers you're not going to be able to put up the numbers

[00:27:52] as fast as they are with just running the ball and I think it's just going to weigh her down

[00:27:57] they're running backs and just make it so that they get hurt more frequent we're not going to

[00:28:03] be a little running as much I don't think they keep winning with that strategy just what

[00:28:09] yeah Tony I know how much you want them to keep winning especially when they come still Ohio State

[00:28:15] but I don't see it happening the way football is played now it's just you need to be

[00:28:20] able to pass the ball even if you're running more than you're passing you're not going to be

[00:28:25] winning at a high level at the very least not consistently unless you have a team as good as

[00:28:31] Michigan was last year they were able to get away with throwing very few passes and some spots

[00:28:36] when they needed to but they're not talented enough to do that this year they need to be able to pass the ball

[00:28:43] yeah I don't think we're asking them the past 300 yards game

[00:28:47] 100 and 150 times more than 32-37 whatever it was yeah I mean can they get people

[00:28:53] can you keep a defense on us showing that you can throw a pass down the field and make them

[00:28:59] respect you enough for that they could this staff the box stopped running so yeah I agree I don't

[00:29:06] know is that Alex Orgy they let him become a passer every next couple weeks I just don't know if he has

[00:29:10] that skill and who else does I have our true fraction man I don't think he's ready to play and

[00:29:16] at this point you maybe go if then your over cornbacks can pass why don't this perfect tree

[00:29:20] first round there this point to see what you got but that's why we do but

[00:29:24] we're going to throw the running back out there yeah while cadet do a triple option at this point

[00:29:30] they get oh think if the both of those athletes triple option might as well right I see

[00:29:34] that sure they would hate that in Michigan but it might be good all right well talk about

[00:29:38] Clemson I think at the beginning of the year we asked or we bought a selling a Clemson we also

[00:29:42] are stock on Clemson and maybe we're losing money on that sale because and Clemson is coming back

[00:29:47] sell much not Clemson I'm pretty sure you sold it we'll get the tapes um I think we also

[00:29:52] loaned Clemson because they lost I maybe you did it I don't know yeah I was the one defending

[00:29:59] Davos we need remember everybody was coming out of saying well we're still on the

[00:30:03] day before just defending the team now but I was the one that said they've got the talent

[00:30:09] it's against Georgia it was a man all right well we don't remember that that was a bunch

[00:30:15] of me um they've been really dominant the last few weeks to offense like I said

[00:30:19] Clemrick is really good defense is always there so now with a few weeks past Georgia are you

[00:30:26] buying their selling Clemson and going forward to potentially win early to compete to win the ACC

[00:30:32] so sorry Jordan what do you think I'm buying them the one the ACC I there's schedule literally is

[00:30:40] they play Louisville November second but I think the biggest question mark for me is

[00:30:45] they'll play my I haven't they got lucky there no they got nothing they could win the ACC

[00:30:50] easily with the schedule the biggest question mark for me is their backups on defense they put

[00:30:55] their backups in and NC State scored 21 in the fourth so I think I'm a little worried about

[00:31:00] their depth down the stretch in games that a team is going to be able to stay and compete with them

[00:31:05] but right now I'm buying them to at least get to the ACC championship and maybe win it

[00:31:11] just a little bit we're talking about back then I'm who did Jordan now it's we now it's the way

[00:31:22] North Carolina State we're not gonna mind you that anymore Jordan I'm not gonna say

[00:31:26] I don't know what happened to them they I fathered to you they fell off the face of

[00:31:30] planets I don't know just think that offense Grace McColl did not do what she should have

[00:31:34] I don't know man it's Tony's fault just so you guys know it could be maybe because I

[00:31:38] father gonna be good and that's usually a tough for any team I think Ohio State Georgia

[00:31:42] and Texas gonna be great for us this year okay moving on actually just to give your

[00:31:47] thoughts around clubs if you think are you buying selling now or you keep it with you I

[00:31:49] guess you're holding right because you never sold I'm gonna hold I think the only team in the

[00:31:53] ACC that's really gonna be able to beat them they really have a chance is Miami I think Miami is

[00:31:59] very good they're a lot better than I expected although I do believe I still had Miami making the playoff

[00:32:03] I do I had I never made making the playoff just so you guys know just did also have

[00:32:10] Florida State making the playoffs before they lost the Georgia Tech no I didn't that was

[00:32:20] usually actually have things no I didn't have Florida State at all you did no I didn't I'm literally

[00:32:29] no no for either to us talking about her bracket whatever it's all right we all none of us

[00:32:36] have for a state well for a state's gone none of us had Florida State in our official brackets

[00:32:41] but but anyways my point about Clemson is I think Miami's the their only real competition and

[00:32:45] I don't think either those two teams are really gonna be able to compete with the likes of

[00:32:50] Ohio State Texas and clearly Georgia but they don't need to make the playoff necessarily

[00:32:57] all the match up to you may build a win the first or second round because you don't play Georgia or

[00:33:02] Ohio State or Texas and you could get yourself all the way to the championship right my most

[00:33:06] without having to play one of them if you get lucky enough and that's the beauty of brackets

[00:33:11] that's right it's all you never know it's all about who you match up with some matchups will be bad for you

[00:33:16] some will be good so that's a cool thing alright staying in ACC should North Carolina fire Mac Brown

[00:33:23] another terrible I don't know if the class has some terrible defenses these last few years but

[00:33:28] James Madison right they did 70 I think James Madison put their third string into some point

[00:33:34] because they just let their felt the gas cause they had 54 to first have so I just put FedEx showing

[00:33:40] by North Carolina there so should they go ahead and fire Mac Brown and start over some new blood what do you

[00:33:45] say Jordan I think they do they haven't had a good defense and I don't know ever and

[00:33:52] it's a little different you had Drake may think it was sophomore his sophomore year

[00:33:58] but then his last year the seat he wasn't as great but you can't this is different Lincoln

[00:34:05] Riley at least put up highs in quarterbacks that through and you could got they got good enough

[00:34:11] to outscore team but we haven't seen that you see them. I think they had Drake may and so they had a

[00:34:16] good run there for a couple of years where the quarterbacks really just saved them but now

[00:34:19] there's quarterbacks not there and so there's nobody to save that they fans I don't fan.

[00:34:24] When you put when you let a team I did James Madison there's second season or third season in

[00:34:31] SPS. I forgot which one. When you let them put up 611 total yards on you

[00:34:37] I don't know what tell you I think it's time I think they need to fresh look at this team

[00:34:44] North Carolina should not be this bad North Carolina is in a primary cooking area and right there

[00:34:49] in the Carolinas where if you do the right thing because at one point when Mac Brown first started

[00:34:55] they were getting us a top level of recruits but they did do anything with them. I just don't see

[00:35:00] you bring somebody young energetic come in get the right recruits and coach these guys up I think

[00:35:05] they could do a lot of damage what do you say Jess should you go ahead and move on from Mac Brown

[00:35:10] Yeah I think so you can't keep performing like that you can't master I think they

[00:35:16] blew lead to what was it a one in five Virginia team as well like they just that there comes a

[00:35:23] point where you just got a career losses I don't think they fire him during the season

[00:35:32] but I don't know if they should keep him past the end of this year he signed what he got that

[00:35:40] extension in February 2023 yeah I don't know I think it sounded like it's time to find.

[00:35:46] Tell Michael Jordan to go to pay that get him out here whatever it takes yep

[00:35:52] yeah Jordan brand in Jordan made that there's no way they should be losing at this point

[00:35:56] alright let's move on Auburn should Auburn part ways of few reason his saffron is

[00:36:03] second year here there are three and six SEC play he I don't know if he saw his prints conference he's

[00:36:08] throwing all his quarterbacks and receivers and off it's a lie everybody under the bus

[00:36:12] blaming everybody he said that Arkansas hopefully do the rest of the season but if we play him

[00:36:17] nine more times we're beaten them nine more times and they look like they need a team that should

[00:36:21] be able to beat Arkansas after that game I just I feel like he's losing it I mean killing

[00:36:26] out of recruiting trail and so you got to hope maybe there's recruits coming but

[00:36:31] you already had character issues and now you add the fact that maybe he's not coaching as good

[00:36:35] as you thought he could I don't know do you part ways if you're for his already after two years

[00:36:40] and what do you say they're just he's been there two years he was brought in November 2022

[00:36:50] they finished that year with a record of five and seven 20 23 is first full year they go

[00:36:57] six and seven three and five in SEC this year they're tuned to and Owen won in the SEC I think

[00:37:07] I don't think they should fire him with how well he's been at he's been able to recruit but

[00:37:16] he cannot throw his players on in the bus you can't afford to do that the SEC is one of the toughest

[00:37:23] conferences it is unreasonable to expect a coach to come in and just turn around the team like that

[00:37:32] just in two years but if he has similar issues throughout the rest of the year I wouldn't be

[00:37:39] attractive they fire him and if Gavrabe enough for Auburn's sake they this year goes to all heck

[00:37:48] and next year is more of the same I don't see him making it past next year but as in this

[00:37:54] as of right now I don't think they fire him. Jordan what would you do? I think it's just you

[00:38:01] can't throw your players on the bus yeah you're good at recruiting and you're getting these recruits

[00:38:07] it's Alabama it's all burn in Alabama you should be getting recruited

[00:38:14] it's the hot the South is the hotband for great SEC athletes so you should be getting the recruits

[00:38:20] but throwing your team out of the bus I just feel like it hurts the locker room and honestly I think

[00:38:25] it could hurt recruiting down the line and you're the one that brought these quarterback sit we also

[00:38:31] how paint dorn hill looked at Mr. and State so why is it a big surprise when he looked like this

[00:38:37] when he plays you yeah why did you get that better player in the transfer portal?

[00:38:44] I think with Ole Miss I now miss the whiff because that's where he was I was as

[00:38:48] picking back to his Ole Miss Tom I think the fact that he is two and two yeah I think in most

[00:38:52] situations if it's a younger coach your building rebuilding the program it may take some time

[00:38:58] you can understand that some things will take time so I would think on to it but what I already

[00:39:03] caution I don't think they should hire them the first place because of his past issues not only the

[00:39:07] fact that the escort stuff that he had with the company self-know whatever but the fact that he had those

[00:39:13] various recruiting academic violations that that happened during his time in Ole Miss I just feel like

[00:39:19] there's a lot of character issues there and you bring him over here and really what he did Ole Miss

[00:39:24] had a couple good seasons where he beat Nick Sabin but he never did anything like he never went on

[00:39:30] until it topped your bowl and won it at least from my memory and I this thick he's living

[00:39:35] on the memory of beating Nick Sabin so he comes over here he has character issues already

[00:39:39] that you bring him on he struggling he's grown his players under bus you're sure the

[00:39:44] Auburn doesn't want to fire a never coach after two years but to me if he does not have some type of

[00:39:54] rhythm at the end of the season if there's six to six again that means you have not approved

[00:39:57] your record at all and you're throwing players under the bus why I just don't see that the reason

[00:40:03] with his character issues and the football issues coming together there's no reason for me to

[00:40:07] want to keep this time around for me personally I will get rid of them all right final rapid fire

[00:40:12] question here which team is the big surprise you have out of any Anna Illinois or BYU Vegas I

[00:40:18] pre-seek their prediction of all and have a winch on level of four or five wins for each team they're

[00:40:23] all four now I'll start with you Jordan who do you have as your biggest surprise out of this

[00:40:27] ring I think the biggest surprise for me is BYU with it being a religious school

[00:40:35] granted they don't have to be that religion to go there but they do have the sign of code of

[00:40:39] conduct or count of honor to be able to go there so it's a little harder to get players it's

[00:40:44] talk about this a lot other schools that are religious they have to abide academically in

[00:40:49] sense so it's harder to get those players to come but surprisingly they did just all around look good

[00:40:56] offense defense special teams that's the biggest surprising thing for me it's not just one

[00:41:01] side of the ball they all look good and they could blow teams out with every facet of the game

[00:41:06] and not just offense all right just what you got as your um biggest prize I was pretty good for me it's

[00:41:14] annoying to go in and beat Nebraska who I think a lot of people were high on a lot of people

[00:41:22] that this is dark horse team and they really show that they're not gonna be at a Ohio state

[00:41:28] silver but they are a team to be respected in the big ten this year and I think that they've situated

[00:41:35] themselves pretty well in the eyes of the the eight people possibly in the committee come

[00:41:43] that time especially if then Nebraska win ages well I think Illinois has been a very pleasant

[00:41:49] surprise all right for me I pick Indiana um just because that's because it's the last one left

[00:41:56] this because I actually do think there's a look up there look at the scores and any of it if

[00:42:01] if I use 31 7 Western Illinois 77 or three UCLA 42 to 13 Charlotte 52 to 14 yeah some of those teams

[00:42:09] are not as great but Indiana never did this before they never scored as many points or defensive

[00:42:15] or played as well I like to do head coach there Kurt's and Eddie I think I mentioned in the preseason

[00:42:20] when we talked about Indiana that I felt like he was going to be able to do something to turn his

[00:42:24] team around pretty quickly if you look at next two games you have Maryland and or Western you really

[00:42:29] should start six and out into big ten already people eligible that's pretty pretty good and if you

[00:42:39] at home it gets you to like 34 17 and they struggle that was for most of that game you have a lot

[00:42:45] less athletes in Indiana I really like what he's done with that team not saying they're going to

[00:42:49] go big win the big ten or anything but I really had a press that they've they've done a lot

[00:42:53] with with the least out of these three teams I definitely uh definitely going to call out into

[00:42:57] him here 20 we left it for you because it's your favorite school is it's not your school any

[00:43:09] alright let's move that week five predictions so give we'll do a rapid fire style here I will

[00:43:14] have some of the top matchups a week so you guys tell me who you think is going to win so we'll

[00:43:19] start first we're Georgia Alabama some some faith are thinking this may be part one of three

[00:43:25] contest but he seems because they could potentially meet again in the SEC championship and again

[00:43:29] in the college we'll play off so it should have to see what happens with these two teams really

[00:43:34] yeah it gives the team momentum on potentially being a top one or two seed in the playoffs with

[00:43:41] this win here so who you guys think in 30 Jordan Georgia we're Alabama

[00:43:47] this one's a tough one I feel like they're really close this year but I don't I think I have to give

[00:43:52] it to Alabama just because they have a more all around offense I think Georgia's really one

[00:43:58] excited a lot they both are coming off by but I just don't know how I feel after that

[00:44:05] Kentucky win it's just rough I got Alabama chance you get I'm going with Alabama

[00:44:15] I defended Georgia last week and I still stand by my points there but the fact that this is

[00:44:22] at Alabama Georgia struggled with Jalen Morrow's mobility last year I think Alabama

[00:44:29] I am not blown away with their weapons you have people we would be in previous years I do

[00:44:38] think they're better than Georgia's and I think overall the talent is comparable

[00:44:45] I if this game was at Georgia I would take Georgia but the fact that it is at Alabama

[00:44:52] Swade me all right I am picking Georgia I was disappointed with their performance because Kentucky

[00:44:59] but I don't know Georgia always needs to have one of those performances every year

[00:45:04] but what was like a Missouri last year. Chuckie yeah Chuckie is always that's a rivalry game

[00:45:09] it's right there they always play tough get to shove her I don't think they show their hands a lot in

[00:45:13] game offensively I think they had a buy week the work I went was wrong and I usually get up pretty well

[00:45:19] and whatever Kirby smart here's his team is being dispected to do suck you're not as good as you

[00:45:24] thought you were he's definitely going to use that for motivation over the next couple of weeks to

[00:45:28] get them ready and I feel like they'll come in here and I think they'll be outmanma pretty

[00:45:31] handily that's my pick is Georgia more easy win all right we've had Illinois Penn State this one's

[00:45:37] a little more interesting that you probably fought coming into this week obviously both teams are undefeated

[00:45:42] we talked a little bit about Illinois but they this show they can go into your roaches of

[00:45:45] Ironman in Nebraska and play South football both sides of the ball they have a quarter back

[00:45:50] the outmire is playing really well this year their defense is pretty solid for Penn State

[00:45:55] they're really I think a runnyback driven offense with Nicholas Singleton and K-Trot Allen they

[00:46:00] rigged in the top 10 and Rossine offense averaging 255 yards on the ground my biggest question

[00:46:06] mark in this game is Sto's Rourke Owler he's looked good it gets bad teams but he always seems

[00:46:11] like okay it's bad teams I do wonder how he's going to look in this game he's a defense that's

[00:46:16] gonna be a make things hard for him I will pass over to Jess who do you got in this win

[00:46:19] Illinois or Penn State it's at Penn State at night I think yeah it's not the white out game but

[00:46:24] it's still at Penn State home night game I'm going with Penn State I had I had not even five minutes ago

[00:46:31] I was praising Illinois but I don't think they're quite there yet I think that Illinois is showcasing

[00:46:38] it's not gonna be an easy game they show that they can go and like you said into a hostile

[00:46:44] environment and perform I don't think Penn State blows them out but I do think Penn State wins and I

[00:46:50] think they win comfortably but to the point where it's like well I'm not good fight you didn't get blown

[00:46:57] out you put up a fight I think it'll be that kind of game right Gordon alright I'm picking up set

[00:47:04] oh Illinois they already went to Nebraska Friday night lights Nebraska sells out every game they have

[00:47:14] I think Illinois goes in I think Penn State has just been up and down all year they almost lost the

[00:47:19] bowling green just where's bowling green in the United States of America Ohio another one

[00:47:27] still in Ohio's yeah I think Illinois can pull this one out and hold drill all or two

[00:47:33] not be comfortable because I just don't think he looks comfortable in that pocket so give me

[00:47:39] Illinois alright I'll take it Penn State as much as I thought about picking Illinois here I've been

[00:47:47] thinking a lot of Penn senses here it has worked out well for me and I and this picking Illinois is

[00:47:52] going to have a tough time getting up for back to back night games on the road against two tough teams

[00:47:57] I think they might come back down to earth a little bit in this game and I think I don't know

[00:48:02] if I'll drill a little he might not look great but I think the running attack will get them out

[00:48:06] and I think they'll grind out at close game here it gets Illinois home so it can be Penn State

[00:48:11] alright next up Oklahoma State Kansas State this is the disappointment bowl we both coming in

[00:48:17] and thinking they can win the big 12 but now they both can afford to lose a second big 12 game

[00:48:21] this made a side who will play potentially Utah in the big 12 championship game leader to see

[00:48:25] or so would you guys have Oklahoma State or Kansas State Jordan?

[00:48:30] Oh that's tough. I don't know can I pick neither team can every a tie?

[00:48:35] I think I'm a pick Kansas State you can pick a tie I doubt they let the game go to have

[00:48:41] any other problems that happen but I think you're ready to leave Austin.

[00:48:46] I think Kansas State wins this one because at home I think they come back from that bad offense

[00:48:52] defense special teams performance from last week and I just don't think Alan Bowman is the guy

[00:48:57] for Oklahoma State can't just state I think somebody will pull this one out in a scrappy big 12

[00:49:02] showdown. Just I'm gonna go with Oklahoma State they haven't been great but they've been able to

[00:49:15] go in they just played Utah it was a close game I think they're gonna be able to get Kansas State

[00:49:23] I think Kansas State's gonna be railing a little bit and I think they feed Ali Gordon and I think

[00:49:29] they just ride that to victory. All right I guess I'm gonna go Oklahoma State as well

[00:49:35] this because I have lost faith in Kansas State almost losing the terrain not looking as

[00:49:40] a press as they should have and if the game gets UT Martin and having some moments and not looking

[00:49:45] at it gets Arizona then losing as bad as they did it gets BYU I think at least Oklahoma State

[00:49:50] put up a fight and made it a comeback gets Utah and I think we'll be motivated enough to lose a

[00:49:55] second game and I think Ali Gordon's your point I figure it's gonna feed him the rock all night

[00:49:59] and ground out of victory here. They probably won't be pretty but no. I definitely won't

[00:50:05] just not appointment viewing here but I think give me Oklahoma State the win this one. There's

[00:50:15] Oklahoma. That's sad. Speaking of not winning pretty really. I was talking about Louisville so we

[00:50:21] weren't going to talk about Notre Dame but we have to because it's a town 25 matchup so Louisville is

[00:50:26] going to Notre Dame me and Jordan will be there on hand to check out the hopefully

[00:50:31] something. Great outfought offensive coming out party for rally winter and in Notre Dame this weekend

[00:50:38] 60th birthday with play 15th grade Louisville so it's a good top almost 15th matchup here

[00:50:43] I think for Notre Dame it's a chance to get a big win and get themselves back on track in the

[00:50:48] National Eye. For Louisville they're undefeated they're looking to keep going. I actually

[00:50:52] look at their schedule they have a potential to make it today CC Championship be honestly

[00:50:57] they're one of the top contenders that make it there so if they can get this game it they'll be

[00:51:02] moving along here obviously Louisville one last year at Louisville this one we at Notre Dame

[00:51:08] sits losing in Illinois they blew out for a big what 66 to 7 they beat Miami high LSE 20 to

[00:51:15] three defense is the best corners in football and playing really well they've had a lot of

[00:51:22] injuries though and they're down there three starters on the offensive line for the season or

[00:51:27] at least two for the season one come back in a few weeks they have some depth there so you

[00:51:36] remember or radio show they're gonna they all hate rather with a passion like he killed their new

[00:51:40] born son but he we're talking about how bad some of these things look he has to been terrible he

[00:51:45] leads I read a stat he is number five on miss tackle running backs why it's quarterbacks everybody

[00:51:51] throughout the country he he leads his team in rushing he has six rushing touchdowns he had a 50-year

[00:51:57] rushing let touchdown last week he could rush well he's getting about 150 yards a game and they

[00:52:06] which in Jordan are that he continues on that and does some things there Louisville I like they're

[00:52:11] really explosive on the offensive side but they haven't really played anyone it's one of those

[00:52:15] folks mirrors are a fact really good they have a good defense so yeah I think it'd be pretty

[00:52:19] good even match up here is because they're both motivated to keep winning I'll start with you

[00:52:23] Jordan what do you got this one I got another day I got another day not even once Louisville played

[00:52:32] a good defense they could barely run the ball they ran for what 30 was it 50 seven rushing

[00:52:39] yard yeah against Georgia Tech I just think Norton has a better defense than any of the teams

[00:52:45] they played so far and I don't think there's a lot on Louisville to see really put them in that 15

[00:52:52] ranked I just think that Norton can control this game all defensively enough to stop Louisville's

[00:52:59] game and hopefully we're Riley Leonard it's supposed to rain so hopefully there's run the ball

[00:53:06] for Riley Leonard only he's a bi-week buddy yeah I just think Notre Dame's defense is

[00:53:16] going to be with the whole day on against this Louisville offense Notre Dame by 1200

[00:53:22] all right Jessica I don't have Notre Dame quite bite what was that during 1200 to do you

[00:53:31] 100 and one oh I do have Notre Dame winning in a more reasonable fashion oh I think Notre Dame will win

[00:53:42] this one 21 17 that kind of game I don't think it's gonna be pretty I think Riley what is it

[00:53:53] raised you guys is blood pressure through the roof but I do think Notre Dame wins this one

[00:54:00] all right yeah I think Notre Dame's win I do think they're a better team overall from a defense

[00:54:04] aside for particular I think they have their defensive Louisville and I think their rushing attack

[00:54:09] is very low the obviously I think Louisville could pass it better in Notre Dame so the key here

[00:54:13] is luckily that's the area of strength for Notre Dame on a defense I could see this being ground out

[00:54:18] game actually I could see it both ways I could see Notre Dame blowing out Louisville where I could see

[00:54:22] Notre Dame falling their face here at Louisville winning I don't think it's gonna be one of those two

[00:54:27] in my hope is that it's a Notre Dame blow out here and we're not sitting watching to blow out of

[00:54:31] Notre Dame on site we'll see what happens next week but I picked Notre Dame this game all right

[00:54:35] which wrap it up Arizona you saw and it started a season I think we even said this could be one of the

[00:54:42] could be a match-up the sea could be a preview of the big 12 championship game it's lost a little bit

[00:54:48] after Arizona lost the Kansas State on the road but Utah is like good Arizona has struggled

[00:54:54] I think to find a way to be more to make Milan show I think that's evident if you show it

[00:54:59] to look fair down they're great to unlock any kind of magic in above that 30% conversion rate

[00:55:05] they also for few interceptions and they can't afford to do that gets this Utah defense pretty interesting

[00:55:10] match-up here I think Arizona has a chance to be a really great offense when they unlock it

[00:55:14] Utah has a chance to be one of the better defensive in the country so little contracting styles

[00:55:18] there just who do you got in this one Arizona or Utah at Utah and I think at night

[00:55:26] are going into the season my kind of more out there pick was Arizona

[00:55:37] winning the conference winning the big 12 that Kansas State game certainly took a lot of wind

[00:55:44] out of that sale I'm still going to go with Arizona I do love the McMillan Fifidish connection

[00:55:57] I do believe is Utah expected to still be missing it was it camera was it can't

[00:56:03] rising I don't know wait as I think they're very good boy I'm saying week the week they're

[00:56:10] they are not giving definitive timelines there but especially if he's out I think

[00:56:15] Arizona can do it so I'm going to take the upset here Jordan you agree no I think Utah wins this

[00:56:24] even with Fifida and McMillan last week when they lost or two weeks ago when they lost to Kansas State

[00:56:32] McMillan still had 11 receptions for 130 HRs and they no touchdowns and they still lost

[00:56:38] they don't have a system for anything outside of him their offense is one person

[00:56:46] I think Utah is going to play to that strength and make Fifida Vegeta

[00:56:54] look if you got Vegeta as one of your wide receivers I don't think you should be

[00:56:59] he's a quarterback but I think that's an unfair especially what do you go especially

[00:57:04] press of that said so but then I think they're going to be able to control this game

[00:57:10] throughout both sides just because Utah has a better defense than what Arizona has seen

[00:57:16] and they lost defensively they lost 31 to 7 to Kansas State who can barely beat a team so

[00:57:25] give me Utah all the way I think Utah's my husband my top war pick all year and nothing's going to change now

[00:57:31] outside of watching our day my like this team I like watching this team because this is how

[00:57:34] I feel like a football team she put the giver really solid defense great running the ball

[00:57:39] a quarterback that can run and give you a passing a little bit of both I know camera is

[00:57:43] a mayor may or may that be out I'm really I like to back up there as well so I feel like

[00:57:47] they're just a strong team I feel like they could do some damage in the playoff as well so

[00:57:51] give me Utah and make it 28 point big for here I really don't feel like this one even

[00:57:55] is close so Arizona helped me out please all right just so one final question you had for us I think

[00:58:05] so you want us to blind rings some has me out of the back season so give us two we'll see how this goes

[00:58:12] that's the how it goes I'm sure you guys are aware I'm going to give you five quarterbacks

[00:58:17] you're going to give them to you one at a time you're going to slot them in one to five and at the

[00:58:23] end we're going to see whether or not you like your list whether you agree to it this is these are

[00:58:30] five heisman quarterbacks in their heisman seasons since the year 2000 just going to give it

[00:58:37] heads up it is leaning a bit more twenty ten but that's okay first one on the list one to five

[00:58:44] put them somewhere Johnny Manzel in 2012 okay talk it out what do you guys think you guys need

[00:58:53] come to a consensus yeah Tony it's us together we gotta get these five we got to come together

[00:58:58] yeah Johnny Manzel without knowing the rest I yeah it's tough I would say three that we

[00:59:03] safer in the middle yeah I think three as well with down that Tony put Johnny Manzel at three

[00:59:10] put him in that put him in that three all right second quarterback

[00:59:18] the Marjaxon in 2016 it might disagree on this so I think he's four don't I like Lamar Jackson

[00:59:24] but I feel like he I don't know I like who did he beat really I don't know what's the on that one

[00:59:33] I think that was in 390 yards 30 touchdowns passing and then adding 1538 on the ground in another 21 score

[00:59:41] I think there's better I think there's better high-spend winners in this better top one

[00:59:48] but I'm the Marjaxon I just feel if I compare it him with Johnny Manzel I would have to put

[00:59:52] him below Johnny Manzel especially Johnny Manzel did more of his what that season beating Alabama

[00:59:57] and doing some of the crazy things that he did but that's his my own personal opinion and he was

[01:00:10] standing in 2013

[01:00:19] I'm afraid that we're gonna put him at two and it's gonna get no one. I have say two

[01:00:23] I just got to be someone better right? Yeah you gotta say some one here what does that

[01:00:30] I look at before I remember he did for his team I do feel like he should be number two

[01:00:35] I just feel like he created it and he got them to that novel took up the next level

[01:00:38] downtown national chapter. Yeah I think too as well he looked really he was really dominant

[01:00:44] All right next one Baker may field 2017

[01:00:52] He was really good though they almost be doing a roseball right after the year they almost be George in a roseball

[01:00:58] finished with 43 hundred yards 41 touchdowns five just five pigs averaging

[01:01:06] about 12 yards per attempt oh and then leading Oklahoma to its third straight big 12 title

[01:01:15] We're gonna get someone that's not one I'm afraid we're doing here Tony

[01:01:20] What about one or do you put him at five I could be a friend

[01:01:24] If he says I don't know if Cam Newton's on his list but Cam Newton's on his list

[01:01:28] He should be next if he is on his list and I went him number one

[01:01:36] Um, it's this guy and then one more after I'm saying I'm saying fine

[01:01:41] I think that's the fun

[01:01:48] I think five just because it's on that Oklahoma team that any quarterback could probably put up

[01:01:55] as much money yards as he did

[01:01:58] All right Baker field

[01:02:01] Baker may feel

[01:02:05] So it's a misunderstanding and

[01:02:09] I just

[01:02:10] Coming in at number one Cam Newton is Tim Tibo in 2007. I'll take it yeah

[01:02:18] I'll take it let's go

[01:02:22] Garrett he's good list

[01:02:25] You guys happy with that list I'm happy with that list

[01:02:28] Yes, I mean but one I mean to harm you that too I can see Baker field number four over the Marjackson

[01:02:33] Because I think he did stats and he did it some pretty good teams but

[01:02:37] Omar Jackson was pretty dynamic with his likes more than Baker being filled so I can make a case you go in

[01:02:42] So I'm okay with that

[01:02:45] Yes, would you disagree with this list for me?

[01:02:49] I probably would have gone

[01:02:52] Tibo Lamar Baker

[01:02:54] Johnny and then Winston at five

[01:02:58] National championships

[01:03:01] Did any of these guys in the Nadie?

[01:03:03] The team was one of the aim that year

[01:03:06] Tibo I'm sorry I was thinking it was also 2014 season that was Marjota

[01:03:10] Oh, that's people when I really did about just going for the super obvious yellow bro Cam Newton

[01:03:19] I put Tibo in there just for one of those super obvious choices

[01:03:24] I was kind of hoping you guys would rate these things a little differently and then put Tibo not at one but you kind of

[01:03:32] You nailed it

[01:03:33] I thought you guys are gonna lean. Can we risk not putting Baker out on there?

[01:03:39] I thought I was gonna get to there, but yeah, yeah

[01:03:42] To me I think I look at a little differently too. I want winners like their teams win and they did a lot of damage like they won a national title

[01:03:50] So Tim Dpo, James Winston

[01:03:52] Like one I bigger view for one as well, but not the title and he read the Johnny Mazzella or the Marjackson

[01:03:57] I think there was a very similar players where they put up a lot of good stats

[01:04:01] I get a lot of bad teams. They play pretty well gets good teams, but they never

[01:04:06] I would say they never got close to a national championship

[01:04:09] I was in big the Mayfield that's how I would rank it all right. I guess I think that wraps up our podcast for this week

[01:04:14] But until next week talk to you then bye
