[00:00:29] Welcome back everybody to the latest episode in the Flat podcast. I'm your host Tony Kill.

[00:00:34] Join as always by Jordan and Jess.

[00:00:36] Alright, so a lot of interesting games a week too.

[00:00:39] A lot of games closer than you think.

[00:00:42] For some fans, pretty bad results happen.

[00:00:44] So we're going to talk this week about some of those top games from last week.

[00:00:49] Byercel are playoff contenders who still has a chance to make the playoffs, who does it.

[00:00:54] I didn't want to preview some of the games for next week, which is not great.

[00:00:58] We'll get into them and then we'll tell you about what we think is going to happen.

[00:01:01] But first, I guess this is now an annual tradition.

[00:01:04] Let's talk about Notre Dame and how terrible they are because they lost over Illinois 16-14.

[00:01:09] I decided to go ahead and go to that game this weekend and it was not an enjoyable contest.

[00:01:13] Fans were booing Notre Dame at halftime.

[00:01:15] Everything that could go wrong in this game went wrong.

[00:01:17] Defense was allowing runs, broken plays, running backfros, blocked field goals.

[00:01:27] Raleigh Leonard-Cant from a forward pass.

[00:01:29] It was pretty bad.

[00:01:30] This is one of the things to say here today.

[00:01:32] Obviously, our fans in Notre Dame, at least two-thirds of us, sorry, Jess.

[00:01:37] We're not going to talk about them anymore until they're relevant and that's going to be USC if they're 11

[00:01:41] and 10 and want to go into USC then we'll talk about them.

[00:01:43] Until then, we're not going to bore you guys with any Notre Dame talk.

[00:01:45] There's no point. They're not a relevant team anymore this season.

[00:01:49] But what I do think they need to do, my last comment on Notre Dame here is

[00:01:53] I think it's time to start working the young quarterback, start developing one of your own.

[00:01:57] Because I don't think Raleigh Leonard has it.

[00:01:59] Maybe he'll surprise us next few games but he just seems really lost.

[00:02:03] He seems one of those guys that are, I think like a DJU that does really well on seven.

[00:02:07] You saw him at the Manny competition over the summer.

[00:02:10] He won the accuracy challenge and that's why I think B and Smurna are the fans of their hopes up.

[00:02:15] Because the one thing we had worries about was accuracy and he's out here winning accuracy challenges.

[00:02:20] But again, that's not wearing, that's not with somebody running down on you

[00:02:24] and you have to make a split second decision and I think he's really struggling with that.

[00:02:28] And so my opener name is if Raleigh Leonard struggles again at Purdue

[00:02:33] that they pull the trigger quick and get someone else in.

[00:02:35] I don't think Stephen Jelley, his backup is the answer.

[00:02:38] He's really good game manager.

[00:02:40] Maybe he can win the rest of these games because they're not a hard schedule.

[00:02:43] But with the offensive line of way it is you need a mobile quarterback.

[00:02:46] That's why I think you should go to Kenny Mitchell or CJ Carr.

[00:02:49] Or this season may be lost and Marcus Freeman's career at Notre Dame may be lost.

[00:02:53] There's a lot of people already calling for him, his firing, Raleigh Leonard's benching.

[00:02:56] It's not a good day, not a good weekend to be an Notre Dame fan.

[00:02:59] Jordan, I'll let you close us up here before we move on to week two top games.

[00:03:02] Oh, I got it all. You said it all man.

[00:03:04] It was a disaster all around defense offense special teams.

[00:03:08] They already blocked one field goal and we went for it again at 62 yards.

[00:03:15] Yeah. And the play calling at the end was like, all we had to do was like,

[00:03:19] had to go like 30, 40 yards to get a field goal with 40 seconds ago, 34 seconds ago.

[00:03:24] And some of the play calls was terrible and it was like,

[00:03:28] you just decided you're going to take a 62 yard field goal with,

[00:03:32] there has to be a lower kick and it already got blocked once.

[00:03:35] That's the play call you went to. I don't know, I understand.

[00:03:38] And Raleigh Leonard not being accurate.

[00:03:39] They could have, that guy, the second interception.

[00:03:42] He's under through the guy that was wide open.

[00:03:44] I could have threw a ball better than that.

[00:03:46] Just had to throw the ball farther and the game would be different.

[00:03:49] It's just Raleigh Leonard is not accurate enough, sneaky, athletic,

[00:03:55] put up the numbers. He just don't laugh. We know.

[00:03:58] Sorry, we all know what everybody means when they say sneaky, athletic.

[00:04:03] He's athletic but not with his arm.

[00:04:06] He can't throw the ball.

[00:04:08] He had something dying over there.

[00:04:10] Oh man, yeah, no, he's definitely not athletic with the arm.

[00:04:13] And I definitely jumped on that,

[00:04:15] couch football game and put up 5,000 points against NIU.

[00:04:21] Yeah, just, I don't know what to say, man.

[00:04:24] I will say congratulations to NIU, man.

[00:04:26] They had a really good game plan that they're really confused

[00:04:28] in their name all game long and their players played hard.

[00:04:31] So I definitely credit them. They're in the top 25 now.

[00:04:33] So we hope you see you guys in the playoffs.

[00:04:37] Yeah, I doubt we will.

[00:04:38] But we'll see what happens.

[00:04:39] But that's their name and we won't talk about you guys anymore.

[00:04:42] Also, thanks for taking our $1.3 million to come play us.

[00:04:47] Yes, exactly. That's just the gift that keeps on giving.

[00:04:49] All right, let's just get off their name.

[00:04:51] I want some more happier thoughts.

[00:04:53] Maybe if you're a Michigan fan, this will be a happier thought.

[00:04:55] With Texas beat Michigan 31-12,

[00:04:59] yours for 246 yards free touchdowns.

[00:05:03] I think overall, Texas looked really good.

[00:05:05] Michigan did a look great.

[00:05:08] Davis Warren, their quarterback for 204 yards,

[00:05:10] had a touchdown and two interceptions.

[00:05:13] His touchdown was when the game was already out of reach.

[00:05:15] So I don't think you just take much from that.

[00:05:18] I think for Michigan, it all comes down.

[00:05:20] I really thought their offense line, they recruit well.

[00:05:22] The offense line position,

[00:05:23] I really thought that their offense line

[00:05:25] would be better than what it is.

[00:05:27] And it's not allowing them,

[00:05:28] it's not opening up learning lanes for the running backs,

[00:05:32] Texas not protecting the quarterback enough.

[00:05:34] They just felt like outmatched against Texas and Texas really.

[00:05:38] It was really firing on all cylinders for both offense and defense.

[00:05:41] Good performance trip by Texas.

[00:05:42] Jess, this is a team you've been on all off season.

[00:05:45] So what's your thoughts here in Texas?

[00:05:47] Yeah, honestly, the game wasn't even as close as the score would make it look like.

[00:05:51] At one point, I think it was like midway through the second quarter.

[00:05:54] It was, Texas had run like 45 plays or 48 plays, something like that.

[00:06:01] And Michigan had run like 15.

[00:06:05] The game was never close.

[00:06:09] And in the second half,

[00:06:10] Texas was not like taking their foot off the gas necessarily,

[00:06:14] but the play calling got a lot more conservative.

[00:06:17] They were just grinding out the clock.

[00:06:20] They were specifically wearing out Michigan's defensive line,

[00:06:24] which was their strength because Texas knew they had the size to match up with them

[00:06:28] when the two defensive tackles Granton, Burt and I believe were out.

[00:06:34] That's when they would attack the middle.

[00:06:36] When they were in, they just ran it to the outside and the Texas was in complete control the entire time.

[00:06:42] Quinn, yours was very efficient.

[00:06:44] 24 of 36, 246 yards, three touchdowns.

[00:06:48] So we didn't have some absolute insane stat line,

[00:06:52] but he knew they didn't need to as long as they just essentially kept Michigan out of reach.

[00:06:58] What is it in the cartoon where the guy, one of the smaller person is,

[00:07:03] the kid typically is running at the dole and the dole just puts their hand on the head

[00:07:07] and the kid starts feeling that's essentially what Texas did to Michigan.

[00:07:14] But Texas was just the better team.

[00:07:16] I've said this and I know Jordan, you and Tony both disagreed,

[00:07:21] but I have it as essentially Georgia, Texas, small gap Ohio State as my top three teams right now.

[00:07:30] I think out of those three, I think Texas has the best quarterback.

[00:07:35] Ohio State has the most overall just raw talent and George is the most balanced of the three.

[00:07:41] So we're going to see how that all plays out.

[00:07:43] But I think that right now Georgia, Texas, small gap Ohio State.

[00:07:48] Jordan, any close of thoughts here on Texas over Michigan?

[00:07:52] No, I just think that Michigan just talked all about Texas.

[00:07:56] I think Michigan need that quarterback.

[00:07:58] They didn't have them.

[00:07:59] Like you said, Tony, the offensive line doesn't let Edwards do anything.

[00:08:04] He had eight carries for 41 yards.

[00:08:08] Michigan just looked lost on both sides.

[00:08:10] Texas just slashed them all game with the running and the short passes.

[00:08:17] Like Jess said, the game was a lot more one-sided than the score showed.

[00:08:22] Davis Warren is definitely not that guy.

[00:08:25] You watch the game, he overthrew wide open receivers when the game was close.

[00:08:32] The game was they needed a touchdown and wide open overthrew him.

[00:08:36] But he didn't have a lot of time in the pocket.

[00:08:39] I think Michigan lost too much and they didn't really recuperate anywhere enough to be back to where they are.

[00:08:49] And I think Texas just exploited everything that Michigan had that was good and just made it so that they didn't have to deal with it.

[00:09:00] I think they just said they ran it different sides from where their best tackle or best defensive lineman was.

[00:09:08] Even when he was outside, Michigan started putting their best defensive tackle on the end.

[00:09:13] They had a great game plan and Texas used that game plan and ran it flawlessly.

[00:09:20] And that's why Texas has won this game outright all the way through.

[00:09:26] I agree.

[00:09:28] Good game plan by Texas.

[00:09:29] I think Michigan has a lot to work on.

[00:09:31] To me, I would say position in their name.

[00:09:34] I might be time to start a young quarterback, freshman quarterback and see what you got.

[00:09:38] Because I don't think the current quarterbacks you have will have much.

[00:09:42] You maybe want to make some of the offense alignment up too.

[00:09:44] So it's tough out there right now for almost rebuilding teams.

[00:09:48] All right, let's talk about Iowa State and Iowa.

[00:09:51] It feels like whenever I pick Iowa State to win and have a good season, they do terrible.

[00:09:57] Whenever I pick against them, they do well.

[00:10:00] Iowa State fan, I hope I keep picking against them.

[00:10:03] Iowa State won this game at a 54 yard field goal with six seconds left.

[00:10:08] They gave them a 2019 victory over the number 21 Iowa.

[00:10:11] This is only the third win in the last 11 games over to Hawkeyes.

[00:10:15] There are a quarterback we talked a little bit about him last time at Rocco.

[00:10:17] Beach benched, I think had 272 yards to touch on the interception.

[00:10:21] You compared that to Cade McEmerra.

[00:10:24] I guess that offense is quite back for Iowa or there yet for Iowa.

[00:10:27] They only had 90-90 yards passing two interceptions, but they actually led this game.

[00:10:32] 19-7 with 447 left and Cade McEmerra missed a two-point conversion.

[00:10:37] And then it was downhill from there.

[00:10:39] They just went on a streak for Iowa State and they won this game.

[00:10:42] Jordan, any thoughts on this one?

[00:10:45] I just think most of the teams we're talking about right now.

[00:10:48] We talked about Notre Dame, talked about Michigan quarterback.

[00:10:52] Cade definitely did not play out this par what we saw the week prior.

[00:10:56] They would have won this game if they okayed through more than 99 yards and had not two interceptions.

[00:11:04] They had outstanding run.

[00:11:06] Caleb Johnson had 25 carries for 187 yards and two touchdowns.

[00:11:11] Just their defense didn't look as good as we've seen them look in previous years.

[00:11:19] And the crazy part is when you Iowa State comes into Iowa and beats you by a game you should have won.

[00:11:27] I think it's another team. I think it's time.

[00:11:31] You got nothing else to lose.

[00:11:32] It's time to put in that young quarterback you have.

[00:11:36] I don't even know what Iowa is.

[00:11:37] I don't know if Iowa has a young quarterback today.

[00:11:41] I don't think so.

[00:11:42] Yeah, they got some freshmen on the roster.

[00:11:45] But yeah, I think this that quarterback all comes down to Cade McEmerra.

[00:11:51] He didn't take a step forward after last week.

[00:11:53] He didn't take a step forward really after last season.

[00:11:55] And it really showed and it really hurt Iowa.

[00:12:00] And they couldn't just keep this game up forward.

[00:12:04] Yeah, big win for Iowa State.

[00:12:06] Tony, this is your team.

[00:12:07] I guess, yeah.

[00:12:09] I won't wear it ever.

[00:12:09] I'm stuck with them.

[00:12:11] Any closing thoughts on this one before we move to the next one?

[00:12:15] No, other than Iowa does in fact have a young quarterback on the roster, Marco Lanes.

[00:12:22] He was a three star pro style coming out a couple of years ago,

[00:12:26] being that he's a redshirt freshman either that or this is his redshirt year.

[00:12:30] Don't have too much information on him.

[00:12:32] But yeah, no, it was a pretty stark contrast from week one to week two

[00:12:38] for how the offense performed.

[00:12:40] I don't necessarily agree on just immediately bailing on Cade.

[00:12:45] But you have the whole kind of idea of this Iowa team this year

[00:12:51] was that they finally had an offense to pair with that defense.

[00:12:55] And if they had just gone that two point conversion,

[00:12:59] then that would have changed everything for them

[00:13:04] because then they I would say couldn't have won it on a field goal.

[00:13:07] They would have had to score a touchdown being that they would have been down 21 to 17 instead of 19 to 17.

[00:13:14] But Iowa, for the sake of the Iowa fans,

[00:13:17] I just hope this doesn't end up being just another same thing year after year

[00:13:22] where you've got this great defense but the offense can't do anything.

[00:13:26] And you just I just feel bad for the Iowa fans.

[00:13:30] I really do.

[00:13:31] Definitely.

[00:13:32] All right, let's move on to an interesting game.

[00:13:35] We all have some catristic thoughts on Tennessee over in North Carolina State.

[00:13:40] Tennessee had winning this game against North Carolina State 51 to 10.

[00:13:44] Nico of the quarterback for Tennessee had in combination over 276 yards free touchdowns.

[00:13:50] They had an interception 85 yard interception or a return for score.

[00:13:54] And that the defense really just seemed to shut down.

[00:13:56] Grayson McCall, he only had 104 yards passing.

[00:13:59] He forced free turnovers of North Carolina State.

[00:14:03] So it's overall this is a dominating performance here by both the defense

[00:14:06] and then the offense did enough to keep the ball rolling.

[00:14:09] Jess, what do you hear? What do you think about this Tennessee team?

[00:14:13] I was I the only one that picked Tennessee?

[00:14:17] Tony, I know Jordan.

[00:14:19] I think so.

[00:14:20] I don't recall.

[00:14:22] I'll take that as a yes.

[00:14:23] Look, Nico Lama Lever, just Nico.

[00:14:31] Nico, I told you there's a lot of talk about him.

[00:14:35] They had a bit of a slow start there.

[00:14:37] I think it was actually pretty close early on.

[00:14:40] But I knew Tennessee, they've got pieces on defense.

[00:14:43] They've got a good offense.

[00:14:45] And I think Nico is going to be that difference maker for them.

[00:14:49] And I'll say this like that 2026 quarterback draft class looks like he could be really good,

[00:14:56] especially if Arch is what I think he is.

[00:15:00] I know you two are a little over.

[00:15:03] We already skipped Texas.

[00:15:04] Why are we talking about it?

[00:15:04] No, I'm just saying because Arch was, I believe the only guy in Nico's class that was ranked above him.

[00:15:12] So Nico, like he was, he had these expectations and I think he's a big guy too.

[00:15:18] He's got a cannon for an arm.

[00:15:20] I think he's the one also they made.

[00:15:22] They paid $8 million to sign.

[00:15:24] There is a reason that he was as coveted as he was and we are seeing that.

[00:15:30] I think he's going to be a special talent.

[00:15:33] Now, will Tennessee be able to do this when they play Georgia?

[00:15:39] Probably not.

[00:15:40] I don't see Tennessee being a true playoff championship contender this year.

[00:15:46] I just don't.

[00:15:47] I don't think on defense James Pierce is enough essentially by himself.

[00:15:53] But Tennessee showed they were more dominant team and it went the way that I had thought it was.

[00:15:59] Tennessee I think is a class above a team like NC State.

[00:16:03] I still think NC State's good.

[00:16:04] They're fine.

[00:16:06] But I think Tennessee is going to be in that tier of teams that is going to be fringe playoff.

[00:16:12] But even if they make the playoffs, maybe they win a playoff game.

[00:16:17] But there's no way I see them competing with the likes of Georgia, Texas or Ohio State or anything.

[00:16:23] All right.

[00:16:24] Jordan, any closing thoughts on this one?

[00:16:26] Just surprising how Tennessee actually their defense played really well.

[00:16:29] The game should have been 51-3, but Nico threw an interception.

[00:16:35] I think Tennessee is good offensively and defensively this year.

[00:16:40] Three turnovers this game on defense.

[00:16:43] So huge.

[00:16:44] I think Nico with him being a freshman it showed he threw two interceptions this game,

[00:16:49] do a pick six, go into a hostile environment like NC State.

[00:16:54] He's a freshman.

[00:16:55] He's young.

[00:16:56] It's going to grow.

[00:16:57] Like you said, Jess, I don't think they're a fringe playoff team just because they play at Oklahoma and at Georgia.

[00:17:09] So those games are hostile environments.

[00:17:11] I think those two games could be a huge test more of a test than NC State for Nico.

[00:17:17] And I think going into the next couple of weeks, they have Kent State next week, which is not a lot.

[00:17:22] And then the week after they have Oklahoma at Oklahoma.

[00:17:26] So I think that's going to be the biggest test.

[00:17:28] Alabama coming up too.

[00:17:30] Yeah.

[00:17:31] Yeah, they have Oklahoma at Arkansas the week after a buy and then they play Florida at home and then they play Alabama at home.

[00:17:42] Tough schedule.

[00:17:46] The way games for Nico is going to be a question mark for me just because he's freshman is shown in this game.

[00:17:51] It gets hard to play anywhere away, especially when it's a school that comes out.

[00:17:58] And I think their defense played a lot.

[00:18:01] Yeah, I think they're going to be better than Oklahoma.

[00:18:03] But that being at Oklahoma, like you're saying, Jordan, I think that's going to be a test.

[00:18:08] That could be what sways that match up.

[00:18:11] That's a place to play.

[00:18:12] Big win for Tennessee.

[00:18:15] Yeah.

[00:18:17] Tough place to play.

[00:18:22] All right.

[00:18:22] I think that's a good point here for Nebraska.

[00:18:24] Being Colorado, they beat him pretty bad.

[00:18:26] It was 2010, but the score was not that close if you watch the game.

[00:18:30] And they just, that Nebraska defense has dominated Colorado.

[00:18:34] Dilla-Riola did what he needed to do 185 yards of the touchdown.

[00:18:38] I think Sharers Sanders was sacked five times.

[00:18:40] They really pressured him throughout the game.

[00:18:42] What I didn't like for your, Sharers Sanders had a bad performance.

[00:18:45] And afterwards he's criticizing his offensive line.

[00:18:48] He's criticizing his young plate receiver that maybe missed the,

[00:18:52] missed the move and he's just blaming every people.

[00:18:54] Then when they asked him about Dilla-Riola's performance, he said,

[00:18:57] yeah, he had somebody to protect him unlike my offensive line.

[00:18:59] Stuff like that is just, that's not what a leader does.

[00:19:02] At this point, he's a senior, right?

[00:19:03] And he's, while, why would you draft this guy who's just going to throw people under the bus?

[00:19:08] It's just, and more and more stuff, if you've been watching Twitter's coming or X,

[00:19:12] it's been coming out about what's going on in Colorado and how they changed the culture in a bad way there.

[00:19:17] And I'm not surprised that they lost this game, but anybody have any thoughts here in Nebraska just being up on Colorado?

[00:19:23] Nebraska's defense held a Colorado scoring offense to 10 points, which is big.

[00:19:29] And I think Dilla-Riola is slowly getting more comfortable and comfortable every week.

[00:19:37] I know it was week two, but it looked good.

[00:19:39] The biggest thing for me is Colorado has one guy.

[00:19:43] They're one-dimensional.

[00:19:45] They can't run the ball.

[00:19:46] They passed the ball, but it's passing the ball to Travis Hunter every play almost.

[00:19:53] Out of the 23 receptions in this game, 10 of them were Travis Hunters.

[00:19:58] You double-team him.

[00:19:59] Colorado can't, I don't know what Colorado can do.

[00:20:01] They can't run the ball.

[00:20:02] Their offensive line can't block.

[00:20:05] And the culture there, I don't know what it is.

[00:20:07] I just, I'm, yeah, caught in Nebraska.

[00:20:09] Nebraska's huge win.

[00:20:10] Nebraska's on the up.

[00:20:11] Dilla-Riola looks good and continues to impress.

[00:20:16] Georgia fans are still salty today.

[00:20:19] They lost them based on the comments on our YouTube videos from years ago.

[00:20:23] I had, I heard someone describe the Colorado football culture and they said,

[00:20:30] Deion Sanders is not the head coach of the Colorado football program.

[00:20:37] He's a, he's the personal coach for his sons and Travis Hunter.

[00:20:42] And that's it.

[00:20:43] Which is why he's not doing much in, along the recruiting lines.

[00:20:48] He's not establishing pipelines.

[00:20:50] He's not working with their donors all that much.

[00:20:53] He's just there for his sons and Travis Hunter.

[00:20:58] And there's a very real possibility, the speculation in Colorado it sounds,

[00:21:04] that he's not going to stay after this year once his sons leave.

[00:21:08] He just broke his program even more than it was.

[00:21:11] Yeah, this is, this was purely just him just using Colorado to get,

[00:21:20] to put his sons on the national stage, to get them drafted and then leave.

[00:21:26] And I feel bad for all the Colorado fans who were thinking they were going to

[00:21:32] actually have this program really turned around because they,

[00:21:34] they have the same issues essentially as last year.

[00:21:39] The defense isn't any good.

[00:21:41] They can't pass protect.

[00:21:42] The entire offense is Shador running around trying to make a play to just throw it to Travis Hunter.

[00:21:48] They're going to put up some splash plays.

[00:21:50] Hunter's going to get his numbers.

[00:21:52] Shador to his credit doesn't seem to turn the ball over all that much.

[00:21:57] He's efficient, but he doesn't have a big arm.

[00:22:01] He's clearly got some either no filter or just straight up character issues in terms of being a draft prospect,

[00:22:09] with the way he throws people under the bus and all the stuff that he's posted on X slash Twitter,

[00:22:15] whatever you're going to call it.

[00:22:17] And I just think that the program is, they're a mess.

[00:22:22] They're just a mess.

[00:22:23] And I don't really see it getting much better this year.

[00:22:26] They weren't able to win.

[00:22:28] I don't know if I'm going to pick them over Colorado State.

[00:22:31] I probably will just offer this year talent, but like the fact that I even have to question that,

[00:22:37] it blows my mind what's happened with this program and all of the attention and all of the media.

[00:22:42] And here we are still talking about it.

[00:22:44] Honestly, I agree.

[00:22:45] I feel bad for Colorado fans.

[00:22:46] If he really cared, he would have been really kidding the pavement getting the recruits in.

[00:22:50] But we, I think we talked about it on a earlier podcast where he's not even doing visits at home.

[00:22:56] They ask everybody to come to him because he doesn't want to go to your house.

[00:23:00] It does that and makes it in college football.

[00:23:03] But we'll just see what happens going forward.

[00:23:05] I agree.

[00:23:06] I think this is the last thing for him.

[00:23:08] And if it wasn't beneath Nick Saban, it shouldn't be beneath Dion Sanders.

[00:23:14] I know Dion is Dion, but you're a coach now.

[00:23:17] You're not a player.

[00:23:19] And he makes it so nobody wants to come to your house.

[00:23:22] It's not what you, but people actually do what they come to your house.

[00:23:24] They want you to sit down in their environment, be comfortable and you talk to them about how they're going to use their son.

[00:23:30] And if you're not doing that, why do they want to send anybody there?

[00:23:34] These parents don't want, the parents want their kid to feel comfortable.

[00:23:39] They want you to be able to show us why he's going to be comfortable and grow there.

[00:23:46] And if you're not coming to their house, what is it?

[00:23:50] It's not about your son. It's about you.

[00:23:53] Yeah, I agree.

[00:23:55] Alright, moving on to one of the better games of the weekend.

[00:23:58] Oregon beat Boise State 37-34.

[00:24:01] This great Oregon team you guys kept telling me about in the offseason.

[00:24:04] At least I got one thing right.

[00:24:05] I didn't believe in Oregon.

[00:24:06] I still have that going for me as my offseason picks.

[00:24:08] For the second week in a row, Oregon struggled, but they ultimately prevailed.

[00:24:12] They got a 25-yard field goal this time expired to give them that 37-34 victory.

[00:24:17] Dylan Gabriel proved for 240 yards of two touchdowns.

[00:24:22] I think they trailed until the very end of the game.

[00:24:26] Ashton Jentney continued his Heisman run at 192 yards in three touchdowns from Boise State,

[00:24:31] who came into the game 18-1.5-0.

[00:24:33] So they nearly pulled the big upset here.

[00:24:35] Jordan, what do you think about Oregon beating Boise State?

[00:24:37] Is Boise State so up a shed?

[00:24:39] I guess as a playoff committee, I would hope that they don't hold this against Boise State

[00:24:43] because they went to Oregon, played them tough.

[00:24:45] I hope that as a county gets some.

[00:24:48] I think this game, I don't know what it is.

[00:24:50] I feel like it all comes down to is it because it's not a conference game

[00:24:54] and they're just going through the motions and it doesn't matter.

[00:24:57] And it's the only difference in these other schools that we're seeing,

[00:25:00] Ohio State and Georgia and Alabama,

[00:25:04] and they're playing slow in the beginning but then blowing the other team out at the end.

[00:25:08] Maybe, I don't know, is it that?

[00:25:11] But Austin Jantney looks great.

[00:25:14] I think me and Tony were talking just about this year,

[00:25:19] might not even be the year for quarterbacks for Heisman.

[00:25:22] You might see a couple running backs receivers in there

[00:25:25] and Austin Jantney, if he continues,

[00:25:28] he did just, he put up 192 rushing yards at three touchdowns

[00:25:32] against a Oregon team that's supposed to have a decent defense.

[00:25:36] Dale and Gabriel looked alright.

[00:25:40] Oregon looked like a mess.

[00:25:41] They had two fumbles, their defense couldn't really stop the run.

[00:25:48] So it's a big question mark for me.

[00:25:50] I know I picked Oregon to win it all this year.

[00:25:52] It's a big question mark for me still but like I said,

[00:25:55] it's still week two.

[00:25:56] Is it because it's only week two and they're like, we haven't put it?

[00:25:59] It's not conference who cares?

[00:26:02] Or is there something else going on?

[00:26:04] Because clearly they can put up the numbers stat-wise,

[00:26:09] but is it they're just not finishing drives?

[00:26:12] Things like that and they need to work on it.

[00:26:15] There's a lot of things that could be addressed in this game,

[00:26:21] but it's hard to tell.

[00:26:23] Like I said, now with this colorful ball playoff,

[00:26:27] if you don't win your conference, does it really matter?

[00:26:31] We'll see.

[00:26:32] Jess, what do you think?

[00:26:35] Oregon needs to button up.

[00:26:39] They, despite the winds and I still have faith in them,

[00:26:43] but they were, they lost two fumbles, so they lost the turnover battle.

[00:26:50] They had three more penalties for 24 more yards.

[00:26:55] They had a total of nine penalties for 74 yards.

[00:26:58] They were just four of 12 on third down against what Boise State is,

[00:27:07] clearly looking like one of the best non-power conference teams in the country.

[00:27:14] But they shouldn't be losing third down efficiency to them.

[00:27:21] This game shouldn't have been that close,

[00:27:23] but Oregon, they need to button these things up when they start playing the other.

[00:27:30] You're not going to be able to get away with this against Ohio State.

[00:27:33] I don't care what you think about Will Howard.

[00:27:35] Ohio State is one of the most talented, if not the most talented teams in the entire country.

[00:27:41] If they really want to punch their ticket and to the cultural playoff,

[00:27:47] they want to be in the Big Ten championship,

[00:27:48] if they want one of those buys, they just, they can't have these kinds of performances.

[00:27:54] Because I don't even know if they're going to be able to get away with something like that against who else is on their schedule.

[00:27:58] Forget Ohio State.

[00:28:00] If they play like that, I don't think they're going to be able to get past a...

[00:28:04] Oregon State.

[00:28:05] ... solid.

[00:28:06] If they play like that against Michigan, it's at Michigan,

[00:28:10] and you think if Michigan is able to just figure their stuff out by that point in the season.

[00:28:15] Again, you just, like Jordan said, you can't afford these kinds of losses,

[00:28:20] these kinds of performances when you get to conference play.

[00:28:23] And that's coming up real soon.

[00:28:26] But all in all, they got the win.

[00:28:29] They haven't lost yet.

[00:28:31] And despite that, they've still dropped how many spots in the ranking?

[00:28:35] Six total spots.

[00:28:36] They're down to nine and this week's eight people.

[00:28:40] They dropped an additional two spots and they won.

[00:28:43] They're undefeated and they've continued to drop.

[00:28:47] So I have faith that they're going to button up.

[00:28:50] I like the coaches there.

[00:28:51] I like the roster.

[00:28:52] I like the talent.

[00:28:54] It is concerning, but I'm not out on Oregon just yet.

[00:28:59] But if they continue to play like this, they're going to lose games.

[00:29:03] They shouldn't lose.

[00:29:04] The biggest thing for Oregon is hopefully they button up their next game's Oregon State at Oregon State.

[00:29:09] And it's always, it's a rival, huge rival game.

[00:29:13] So if that, I don't know, that's going to be a tough one.

[00:29:20] Yep.

[00:29:21] All right.

[00:29:21] Let's move to a new segment guys.

[00:29:23] What's buy or sell some playoff contenders based on this week's performances?

[00:29:26] So I want you to give me 30 seconds or less on if this is, if the team I'm going to mention to you,

[00:29:33] are you buying or selling their chances to make the playoff and be a contender to get there?

[00:29:37] So we'll start first.

[00:29:39] Oklahoma State, they won 39 to 31 over Arkansas.

[00:29:42] Even Arkansas had 800 yards of total offense was this clicking on offense,

[00:29:46] but they found a way to win.

[00:29:47] They grinded the game out and Oklahoma State stadium Jordan Byersell Oklahoma State.

[00:29:53] Sorry.

[00:29:54] As I'm going for puberty here, I guess.

[00:29:57] Byersell Oklahoma State, good playoff connection.

[00:29:59] I'm selling them 648 total yards.

[00:30:02] They did the time of session was Arkansas the whole game.

[00:30:07] I think Arkansas just made minor mistakes.

[00:30:09] They should have won that game.

[00:30:10] So I'm selling Oklahoma State just because they don't have a defense.

[00:30:15] Jess.

[00:30:17] Yeah, I agreed.

[00:30:19] They gave up 11 of 19 on third down.

[00:30:22] They got lucky in that the Arkansas was 0 for two on fourth down,

[00:30:26] but Arkansas had 13 more minutes of time and possession.

[00:30:32] This seemed more about Arkansas losing the game than Oklahoma State winning.

[00:30:38] Yeah, I'm selling on Oklahoma State.

[00:30:40] I agree.

[00:30:41] Get them out of here.

[00:30:41] Sell them.

[00:30:42] All right.

[00:30:42] Kansas State up next.

[00:30:44] They had to come back from behind to beat Tulane 34-27.

[00:30:48] I think there's actually a missed call that Tulane,

[00:30:50] what it gets Tulane here, they probably cost him the tie here as well.

[00:30:54] Jess will start with you.

[00:30:55] Byersell in Kansas State.

[00:30:56] I wasn't too high on Kansas State to begin with,

[00:31:00] but I don't think I'm going to sell just yet.

[00:31:03] I still think they're one of the better teams in their conference.

[00:31:05] They got it done.

[00:31:07] They barely scraped it out, but I don't think I'm buying.

[00:31:10] I'm not selling.

[00:31:11] My opinion on them did not change.

[00:31:12] I had Tulane winning the game,

[00:31:14] but I was impressed by Kansas State's resilience and ability to stay in,

[00:31:18] come back and get the win.

[00:31:20] Jordan.

[00:31:21] I'm selling.

[00:31:22] Again, this is another one is Oklahoma State.

[00:31:24] No defense.

[00:31:26] Tulane lost this game.

[00:31:28] Fumble returned for a touchdown,

[00:31:29] which brought Kansas State to 34.

[00:31:34] I'm selling Kansas State.

[00:31:35] No defense.

[00:31:36] Tulane lost this game.

[00:31:39] Not Kansas State winning.

[00:31:41] Holding them right now.

[00:31:42] I want to see what they do next couple of weeks.

[00:31:43] Maybe this is if they get the offense going there.

[00:31:46] I'm a little worried about Avery Johnson as the quarterback there.

[00:31:49] We'll see what happens.

[00:31:50] Penn State, they were losing most of this game to Bowling Green.

[00:31:53] They were able to pull this one out 34-27.

[00:31:56] So Jordan, start with you here, sir.

[00:31:58] Are you buying or selling Penn State?

[00:32:00] I'm staying neutral at Penn State.

[00:32:02] This is it's the same thing as the other teams.

[00:32:05] I said earlier about Oregon.

[00:32:07] Is it just because it's not a conference game?

[00:32:09] No game matters anymore unless it's a conference game.

[00:32:13] If you think you can win the conference.

[00:32:15] So I'm going to keep it neutral.

[00:32:17] I think it's the bigger conferences.

[00:32:21] Penn State won it.

[00:32:23] I'm going to keep Penn State neutral with this one.

[00:32:25] All right, Jess.

[00:32:28] I'm neutral.

[00:32:29] I think there's I like the talent on the team.

[00:32:31] I think Jeraler has improved as a quarterback.

[00:32:33] He wasn't great this game, but he wasn't bad.

[00:32:37] They got Nick Singleton was a huge factor.

[00:32:40] I don't want to say Nick Singleton kind of bailed them out,

[00:32:42] but he was able to have a heck of a performance on just 13 carries for 119 yards.

[00:32:48] But I think Penn State is going to show that there are once again

[00:32:51] and now instead of it being Ohio State, Michigan as the two teams,

[00:32:55] they're just not good enough to beat.

[00:32:57] I think that assuming Oregon gets its act together,

[00:33:00] they're still going to be in that like third or fourth team in the conference.

[00:33:05] Not quite good enough, but I'm not selling.

[00:33:07] I'm not buying.

[00:33:08] Yeah, I sold them earlier in the season.

[00:33:10] So they're still sold and whoever bought them is going off with them.

[00:33:14] I bought it back just to sell it again.

[00:33:15] I bought it back just to get even more money for selling them again.

[00:33:18] All right, what we bought at Utah.

[00:33:19] They won 23 to 12 over Baylor.

[00:33:21] Cam Rising exited this game with a finger injury.

[00:33:24] Obviously injuries have been plagued him the last few years.

[00:33:28] Obviously, at least it's not his knee that he hurt before,

[00:33:30] but it was a finger and they still won close to double digits here.

[00:33:34] So Jess, what are you buying or selling Utah?

[00:33:37] I'm selling.

[00:33:38] I just it's more about Cam Rising and his injury history more than anything else.

[00:33:44] I just don't know if I can trust Utah down the line if Cam Rising isn't there.

[00:33:51] And did, I don't know if you guys saw if it was his throwing hand or not,

[00:33:56] because especially if it's his throwing hand that I'm just out.

[00:33:59] You need the quarterback healthy.

[00:34:02] Jordan.

[00:34:04] I'm staying neutral because I already have them winning the big 12.

[00:34:07] So I can't sell or buy.

[00:34:11] They even what Cam Rising getting hurt this game.

[00:34:13] They have Utah State next week.

[00:34:15] That shouldn't be easy game, no matter who the quarterback is.

[00:34:18] Their defense played well.

[00:34:19] They're just team all around played well.

[00:34:22] They're really resilient even when Cam Rising get hurt backup comes in.

[00:34:26] Team still plays solid.

[00:34:28] So I'm going to keep neutral with Utah.

[00:34:30] They were in the big 12 still.

[00:34:33] All right.

[00:34:34] Next up we have Alabama who had a fight for three quarters of South Florida.

[00:34:37] I think to Ashley where they weren't about to losing,

[00:34:39] but I can remember what they were going into the fourth quarter,

[00:34:41] but it was pretty close and it was on the night they did it dedicated to stadium

[00:34:45] and Nick Saban.

[00:34:46] So what a night that almost lose to South Florida.

[00:34:49] So with that being said, Jordan, we'll start with you here.

[00:34:51] Are you buying or selling Alabama?

[00:34:53] I am going to...

[00:34:56] I'm gonna sell them man.

[00:34:57] I just can't they're not going to get away with that against better teams

[00:35:02] and being so close and they put up I think 28 points in the fourth quarter.

[00:35:07] Good teams are not going to let them do that.

[00:35:10] And if you cannot score throughout the whole game,

[00:35:12] especially against a team like South Florida,

[00:35:15] which honestly this is the second year in a row.

[00:35:18] South Florida gave him a fight, right?

[00:35:20] So I'm going to sell them.

[00:35:23] I think better teams in the SEC right now are going to be able to put up points

[00:35:27] against them and hold them to not be able to score in the fourth quarter only.

[00:35:31] Yes.

[00:35:32] They were up by one going into the fourth quarter.

[00:35:35] I think it was 14-13 and then it was 21-16

[00:35:40] before Alabama had that massive run to just completely put it out of reach.

[00:35:45] I'm not selling. I'm not buying. I'm staying neutral.

[00:35:49] I think they're still going to be like the third best team fourth at worst in the end.

[00:35:55] This has been a really weird start to the year for a lot of teams.

[00:35:59] Ohio State got off slow.

[00:36:01] We see we have we just talked about Oregon.

[00:36:03] Seems like all these top teams, if your name isn't Georgia or Texas

[00:36:09] are having these weird performances.

[00:36:12] But I think Alabama is going to be fine.

[00:36:15] I just don't think they're going to be that top level team.

[00:36:20] Yeah, I tend to agree.

[00:36:21] I think they'll be fine, but will find being enough to make a noise to be seen.

[00:36:28] But I think part of the reason we'd also like to point out that Alabama fine

[00:36:32] is still different than 99% of teams.

[00:36:35] Right, true. They have enough talent to talent their way for a lot of these games as well.

[00:36:39] So that'll be helpful.

[00:36:41] Alright, let's move on to LSU.

[00:36:42] They were having again a bit of a struggle as well through two and a half quarters.

[00:36:46] They end up beating Nicholas 44-21.

[00:36:50] So again, a little sluggish performance by LSU after losing that game to USC

[00:36:54] or you buying or selling LSU chances here, Jess.

[00:36:59] I think I'm selling just because I think that lost to USC and that performance.

[00:37:06] Had they beat in USC, I wouldn't be fine with them.

[00:37:11] But in terms of selling, what I think that if they're going to be able to make the playoff or anything,

[00:37:15] I think I'm selling.

[00:37:17] They're clearly not as good as I had thought.

[00:37:22] I mean, I didn't have them making the playoff.

[00:37:24] I'm like 95% sure about that.

[00:37:26] But I think they're going to be in the top of the middle of the SEC,

[00:37:33] especially if Tennessee is as good as they've looked so far.

[00:37:36] That's just another team that I think between schedule and performance is just going to be ahead of them.

[00:37:42] I think LSU is going to be a good team, but I think they're standing in the SEC.

[00:37:48] I think by the end of the year, they're not even going to be ranked.

[00:37:53] Alright, Jordan.

[00:37:55] I'm going to sell them as well.

[00:37:57] They can't run the ball.

[00:37:58] They only had 64 rushing yards between five people and it was, I feel like Garrett Nussmeyer.

[00:38:05] That is un-good.

[00:38:06] I guess Nicholas, you've got to be able to run more than that, I will say.

[00:38:10] Most rushing on was 19 by Josh Williams.

[00:38:13] They did lose their, to be fair, they did lose their starting running back,

[00:38:16] I think before this game, to tour in ACL.

[00:38:19] Still, they have this two of the top three tackles in all of football.

[00:38:26] I think the only other tackle that is like unanimously ahead of either of them is Calvin Banks out of Texas.

[00:38:34] You should be able to run the ball.

[00:38:35] I guess you should be able to run.

[00:38:36] You've got to scheme ups up and get you 15-20 yards somewhere, I don't know.

[00:38:40] Maybe they stayed off the gas a little bit, you never know.

[00:38:43] But Garrett Nussmeyer did have six touchdown passes.

[00:38:45] Just one on the other.

[00:38:46] There you go.

[00:38:47] You just don't have to do it every week, I think.

[00:38:49] All right.

[00:38:50] Oklahoma, the final one on this buy or sell list is Oklahoma.

[00:38:53] They had a tight victory 16-12 for Houston.

[00:38:57] I did call it.

[00:38:58] The quarterback of Oklahoma reminds me a lot of K-Clubnick.

[00:39:02] They came from very similar areas in Austin.

[00:39:05] Suppins, that's not right.

[00:39:06] They just, the offense has to feel right to me.

[00:39:08] I am selling Oklahoma here.

[00:39:11] What are you guys doing here?

[00:39:12] We'll start with you Jordan.

[00:39:13] What are you selling or buying or selling Oklahoma?

[00:39:15] I sold them all before the season started.

[00:39:21] Jackson Arnold does not look good.

[00:39:23] 19 for 32, 174 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

[00:39:27] Passing game doesn't look good.

[00:39:29] Quarterbacks in general.

[00:39:30] Can we just talk about how bad quarterbacks in general

[00:39:32] for all of week two or week one and week two are?

[00:39:35] There's no great informances.

[00:39:37] K-Clubnick put up numbers.

[00:39:41] It's absent.

[00:39:42] Have a left to state.

[00:39:43] Okay, so I'm just saying he put up numbers.

[00:39:46] But Oklahoma did not put up numbers.

[00:39:48] And honestly they should have lost this game.

[00:39:53] Yeah, Houston should have won this game.

[00:39:56] But honestly it's not here or there.

[00:39:58] I'm selling Oklahoma to Jess if he wants to buy it.

[00:40:02] I'm not going to buy it.

[00:40:04] I don't have anything to sell.

[00:40:05] I was never bought in on Oklahoma to begin with.

[00:40:09] I thought they were going to be another team.

[00:40:10] I think they're going to be in a similar tier as LSU

[00:40:13] where they're probably because of difficulty of schedule.

[00:40:17] Let me just pull up their schedule real quick.

[00:40:20] They play Houston.

[00:40:22] That's not difficult.

[00:40:22] That shouldn't have been a good for the game.

[00:40:24] Yeah, but they have Tennessee.

[00:40:27] They have Texas.

[00:40:28] They have Ole Miss.

[00:40:29] They have Alabama.

[00:40:30] They have Missouri.

[00:40:31] They have LSU.

[00:40:32] I think by the end of the year they're going to be like a four,

[00:40:35] maybe even five loss team.

[00:40:37] They're going to get an okayish bowl.

[00:40:40] But it's going to be like, oh, it was a really tough season for them.

[00:40:45] It was a really rough first year in the SEC.

[00:40:48] That's what it's going to be.

[00:40:50] I never had any stock in them so I can't sell it

[00:40:53] and I'm not buying yours.

[00:40:55] Nope, I don't want anything of LSU.

[00:40:57] I never picked them so I didn't have them.

[00:41:01] I was a hot-headed.

[00:41:02] Defense, hey, they held them to 12 points for Houston.

[00:41:05] I guess that's...

[00:41:07] Also, defense for Houston held them to 16 points.

[00:41:11] I don't know if that's that.

[00:41:12] Defense or Houston are just the offense of Oklahoma.

[00:41:14] We'll see.

[00:41:15] All right, so we're down for week three predictions now.

[00:41:18] So I need 40's predictions because I need 30 seconds.

[00:41:21] A quick answer of who's winning and why

[00:41:23] and then keep moving here.

[00:41:25] We'll start with Arizona at Kansas State.

[00:41:27] We'll open it up.

[00:41:28] If it can't stay open,

[00:41:28] we'll have eight-and-a-half point favorites here.

[00:41:30] So obviously we talked a little bit about Kansas State already.

[00:41:32] Arizona, I showed a little bit of versatility in their first two games.

[00:41:36] They put on a clinic week one, tossing 422 yards for touchdowns by Fiesta there.

[00:41:41] But then in last week, they got held down so they went to the run-in game.

[00:41:44] So they got able to pass it and run it.

[00:41:46] So you got to like that Arizona,

[00:41:47] but they did have a little bit of a challenge from North Carolina last week as well.

[00:41:50] So interesting both of these guys played up and down to competition so far.

[00:41:54] With that being said, I'll start with you Jordan.

[00:41:56] Arizona kid's state who you got?

[00:41:58] I have Kansas State just because it's at home.

[00:42:00] I think last week they're the same team.

[00:42:04] Arizona played Northern Arizona and barely won that game.

[00:42:08] Kansas State played a better team in Tulane and pulled it out.

[00:42:12] So I got Kansas State covering that spread.

[00:42:14] I just think it's at home.

[00:42:16] They have a little bit more talent.

[00:42:18] Just all Kansas State.

[00:42:21] Jess, what do you got?

[00:42:23] I like Arizona.

[00:42:24] Kansas State, as we talked about, has some deficiencies on the defensive side of the ball.

[00:42:31] And I just trust Arizona to be able to adapt a bit better.

[00:42:35] FIFTA, what is it?

[00:42:36] FIFTA? FIFTA? FIFIDA.

[00:42:39] The quarterback for Arizona, I like him and the wide receiver who I had is my non-QB,

[00:42:46] I'm going to call it non-QB Heisman guy, a Heisman pick.

[00:42:50] God, that's another name.

[00:42:52] I'm not even going to try to pronounce it either way.

[00:42:54] He's projected as the number one receiver in this upcoming draft.

[00:42:58] I like their connection.

[00:42:59] I think they're going to put up yards.

[00:43:00] I think they're going to score some points and I don't trust Kansas State's defense.

[00:43:04] All right, give me Kansas State.

[00:43:05] It's at home.

[00:43:06] I just think they'll find a way to win this game at home.

[00:43:09] So I'll just...

[00:43:10] I'll be writing down who's picking what and who's...

[00:43:13] Only if I get it right.

[00:43:15] If I don't, then I'll forget about it.

[00:43:16] I don't know what to do with this place.

[00:43:18] I don't trust the fan.

[00:43:20] Tommy, we talked about this but now that you've started getting a ton wrong, now we're not going to...

[00:43:25] I don't think it's going to be a ton wrong.

[00:43:27] Who wants to really keep up with this?

[00:43:29] Oh because I've gotten more right so far this season.

[00:43:31] I don't think so.

[00:43:32] Do you have it written down?

[00:43:34] Do you have it written down?

[00:43:35] If it's not written down, we don't know.

[00:43:37] Now you guys are going to write it down.

[00:43:38] No, we don't know.

[00:43:39] If you don't write it down.

[00:43:40] If you don't pre-seize the predictions of some of these teams, I would say

[00:43:42] I might even itself out of it.

[00:43:44] I did call Syracuse's Dark Horse.

[00:43:46] Just throwing it out there.

[00:43:47] No, you did have that.

[00:43:49] I guess my one guy in the light this year is Syracuse.

[00:43:52] They're going to lose the next five games because Tony...

[00:43:54] I know, not going to die because I said something.

[00:43:56] All right, Alabama, Wisconsin.

[00:43:58] Both teams coming in 2-0.

[00:44:00] We talked about Alabama already.

[00:44:01] Wisconsin beat Midwestern Michigan I think in week 1,

[00:44:04] 2018-14 and then they had a never sluggish performance

[00:44:07] because South Dakota won 27-13.

[00:44:10] I would say Tyler Van Dyke, the quarterback there has looked okay.

[00:44:13] Not great.

[00:44:13] Not bad, but it's okay.

[00:44:15] And then obviously we're talking about Alabama coming up a little bit of a

[00:44:17] struggle against South Florida.

[00:44:19] So Jess, starting with you, who do you got?

[00:44:20] Alabama at Wisconsin?

[00:44:21] This is at Wisconsin.

[00:44:22] I'm still taking Alabama.

[00:44:24] I think they're going to talent their way out of this one.

[00:44:26] Like we said earlier, I think Alabama is going to prove to be

[00:44:30] one of the top teams in the SEC,

[00:44:32] but not just...

[00:44:32] But not quite in that top tier with Georgia and Texas.

[00:44:36] They have been in years past.

[00:44:38] I thought Texas has been in the SEC in years past,

[00:44:40] but you know what I'm saying.

[00:44:41] I think they're going to talent their way out of this one.

[00:44:44] And I think they're going to win this game probably semi-comfortably.

[00:44:49] All right, Jordan.

[00:44:51] I have Alabama also honestly just said everything.

[00:44:55] They're just going to talent them out.

[00:44:57] I think I'm just one guy to look at Ryan Williams.

[00:45:00] He has six receptions for 207 yards.

[00:45:03] He had two catches week 1 for 139 yards and two touchdowns.

[00:45:08] Watch him put up numbers.

[00:45:09] 17 years old.

[00:45:11] Yeah, young, fast, all the things that Wisconsin I don't think

[00:45:16] have ever had in their whole existence.

[00:45:19] Hey, Russell Wilson was there one point.

[00:45:22] Sure.

[00:45:23] Give me Alabama.

[00:45:23] That's going to be it.

[00:45:24] I think they're just going to be able to bully the way out through this one.

[00:45:27] All right, McAfee.

[00:45:28] Give me Alabama.

[00:45:30] All right, relax over here.

[00:45:32] Like Brian Kelly at Brickin' Tables stuff.

[00:45:35] I'll go ahead and pick Alabama as well.

[00:45:37] I think they'll out talent.

[00:45:38] I think it could be a little closer.

[00:45:39] It could be ugly until we get to the third quarter

[00:45:41] and Alabama pulls away with the talent.

[00:45:43] That's what I think of that one.

[00:45:45] What's up LSU South Carolina?

[00:45:46] I ended this one because this is interesting.

[00:45:48] I wouldn't have thought this was going to be a good game going into it,

[00:45:50] but South Carolina has dominated Kentucky like 31 to 6 last week.

[00:45:55] Their defense look really good.

[00:45:57] I mean your offense played pretty well.

[00:45:59] And they just, I thought highly of Kentucky coming into this year

[00:46:02] and they just really dominated them.

[00:46:04] But LSU hasn't looked like a world beater.

[00:46:05] Quickly, Jess, who you got?

[00:46:07] LSU South Carolina.

[00:46:08] I'm going with LSU.

[00:46:10] Neither of Kentucky's quarterbacks are very good.

[00:46:13] And I would know one of them was Rutgers quarterback last year, Gavin Wimsat.

[00:46:18] He's a very, he's so talented, but he just has accuracy issues.

[00:46:23] And I just, LSU should be able to at the very least out talent their way through this one.

[00:46:31] I know South Carolina had a great game against Kentucky.

[00:46:34] LSU isn't Kentucky.

[00:46:35] I think LSU wins this one.

[00:46:38] Jordan, who you got?

[00:46:39] I have LSU as well.

[00:46:40] It's South Carolina, by the way guys.

[00:46:42] I thought it changed my thing as well last week with NC State, but it didn't.

[00:46:47] It was a little different though.

[00:46:48] They have a pretty robust crowd there.

[00:46:50] I just think LSU is going to be able to put up numbers.

[00:46:53] And I think Syracuse, or not Syracuse, South Carolina is not going to be able to put up numbers.

[00:46:57] They almost lost to Old Dominion week one.

[00:47:00] I got LSU to out talent in South Carolina, just like Alabama.

[00:47:04] I really want to take South Carolina this one, but I'm going to go ahead and pick LSU and jinx them.

[00:47:09] He'll play Luz.

[00:47:10] Brian Kelly, you deserve it.

[00:47:11] You put us in this situation.

[00:47:12] All right, let's move on to Boston College at Missouri.

[00:47:16] Both are coming in undefeated.

[00:47:18] Both has some pretty decent wins.

[00:47:21] I think Missouri has helped their opponents zero points the first two weeks.

[00:47:25] So defense-wise they're looking good.

[00:47:26] Offense they're looking good.

[00:47:27] Boston College actually beat the crap out of Florida State.

[00:47:29] So they're looking pretty good with their quarterback and running back combination.

[00:47:33] Sir, you Jordan, who you got here at Boston College or Missouri?

[00:47:37] I got Missouri.

[00:47:38] I think they just...

[00:47:39] It's going to be another SEC talent over everything.

[00:47:42] It's at home.

[00:47:44] Missouri's defense actually looks good this year.

[00:47:46] And their offense is rolling like they never stopped rolling from last year.

[00:47:51] So give me Missouri.

[00:47:52] I think they're going to cover the spread.

[00:47:53] I think it's 16-and-a-half.

[00:47:54] I got Missouri, I think just at home.

[00:47:58] SEC school undefeated so far ranked high.

[00:48:03] That stands to me, buzzing Missouri.

[00:48:06] Jess.

[00:48:07] I got Missouri.

[00:48:09] Boston College is somehow ranked 24th.

[00:48:13] They're really riding high on that Florida State win,

[00:48:15] but neither team that they've beaten has won a game yet.

[00:48:20] Hardly because they beat them.

[00:48:22] So...

[00:48:23] The polls!

[00:48:24] Take it back, Jess.

[00:48:26] I'm not taking that back.

[00:48:29] I'm not taking that back.

[00:48:31] But Missouri is going to win this game.

[00:48:34] And I think they're going to win this game very comfortably.

[00:48:37] Yeah, I got Missouri.

[00:48:38] Missouri's offense is going to be too much and their defense is playing well.

[00:48:40] I think they'll be able to stop that running attack of Boston College,

[00:48:44] which won against Florida State.

[00:48:46] Give us Missouri here.

[00:48:47] Oregon State, obviously Oregon's had two tough matchups.

[00:48:50] Idaho and Boise State.

[00:48:53] Oregon State side, they start off against Idaho State

[00:48:55] and they won 38-15 and then they ended up winning the game 21-21.

[00:49:01] Nothing to think of the game after that against San Diego State.

[00:49:04] Looked pretty good, obviously to have it played, I would say.

[00:49:07] Even if one had played great competition,

[00:49:09] so I don't know how much you can glean from either one of these guys,

[00:49:12] but will you pick at Oregon or Oregon State?

[00:49:14] This is at Oregon State.

[00:49:15] So Jess, what do you got?

[00:49:18] I'm still going with Oregon until they actually lose.

[00:49:21] I'm not going to be picking against them.

[00:49:23] They're still the much more talented team.

[00:49:26] Again, they've got some things that they need to button up.

[00:49:29] I have faith that they will.

[00:49:31] The fact this is at Oregon State does give me some pause

[00:49:35] with how Oregon has looked,

[00:49:37] but I think at the end of the day in college football,

[00:49:41] talent does make much more of a difference than it does in the NFL.

[00:49:45] Give me Oregon.

[00:49:48] Jordan.

[00:49:49] I got Oregon as well.

[00:49:51] I think the talent on Oregon's offense is just going to be able to outplay Oregon State.

[00:49:57] It's going to be close.

[00:49:58] It's going to be as close as every other Oregon game this year,

[00:50:01] but I just think Oregon has found a way,

[00:50:04] the last two games to win it and I think they're going to do it again.

[00:50:09] All right, since you guys are not picking any upsets,

[00:50:11] I guess I'll go on all of them here.

[00:50:12] I'm going to pick a upset next game.

[00:50:14] Okay. This is at Oregon State.

[00:50:16] If it wasn't Oregon State, I would have do this,

[00:50:18] but I think Oregon State's going to shock Oregon and win this game.

[00:50:20] A little rivalry game to throw in there after a couple tough games.

[00:50:25] I know they're probably not going to happen that I picked them,

[00:50:27] but I do feel like Oregon State has enough on their side of the ball to the score

[00:50:31] and played enough good defense to win this game.

[00:50:34] And I think they want to prove something that they're not left behind from the Power 4.

[00:50:37] They're going to be really motivated to win this game.

[00:50:39] So give me Oregon State here.

[00:50:41] Next up, final game of the week, Tulane at Oklahoma.

[00:50:45] So obviously we talked about Tulane just barely getting by Kansas State on Saturday,

[00:50:53] losing by seven points or just barely losing by seven points to Kansas State

[00:50:59] with behind their talented, you know, quarterback.

[00:51:02] So Masai has been really good, but he was obviously had that fumble

[00:51:06] that cost him the game.

[00:51:07] He wants to prove that was a fluke.

[00:51:09] And on the other hand, you have Oklahoma coming up there.

[00:51:11] Win that we talked about against Houston.

[00:51:13] So really both teams are probably has a bad taste in their mouth.

[00:51:17] They want to get it out.

[00:51:18] Jess, who do you got winning this one?

[00:51:20] Tulane or Oklahoma?

[00:51:25] If this game was at Tulane, I would be confidently picking Tulane.

[00:51:31] But instead, I think I'm going to hesitantly pick Tulane.

[00:51:34] I think Oklahoma showed that they had a lot of issues over the first two weeks.

[00:51:40] And I don't know that they're going to be able to get over that this week.

[00:51:46] I just, I don't like the quarterback.

[00:51:48] I, they got some stuff to work out there in Oklahoma.

[00:51:53] I think Tulane comes in, gives them a very rude kind of wake up call as it were.

[00:51:58] Yep. Jordan.

[00:52:01] I'm with you Jess on that one.

[00:52:03] I got Tulane again.

[00:52:04] I just don't think the offense of Oklahoma can, I don't know what it is.

[00:52:10] They just can't compete.

[00:52:11] They can't put up numbers.

[00:52:12] Tulane can put up numbers showed it already against Kansas State.

[00:52:17] If that defense can button up on Tulane,

[00:52:20] I think they're going to be able to hold Oklahoma back.

[00:52:22] And Tulane has shown it this season already and the last couple of seasons.

[00:52:27] So give me Tulane just because that offense is better than Oklahoma's.

[00:52:32] I'm not going on a limb anymore on this today.

[00:52:34] So I'm picking Oklahoma to the win because it's at home.

[00:52:37] The defense, I think will show up.

[00:52:39] They're probably, it's probably a tight game.

[00:52:41] This because I don't think their offense is quite there yet.

[00:52:43] But I think the defense will shut down Tulane and they'll find a way to win this game at home.

[00:52:47] So give me Oklahoma in this one.

[00:52:50] So with that wraps up all of our games for this week guys.

[00:52:54] Again, not a lot of great performances but usually game matchups.

[00:52:58] But usually when that happens there's a lot of crazy upsets or crazy things that happen.

[00:53:02] So I'm going to just see what happens next week.

[00:53:04] So until then we'll talk to you guys soon.

[00:53:07] Reach out to us on X in the flat pod and we'll see you soon.

[00:53:10] Bye.
